ARJ Group
Company Overview
Our company has been assisting homeowners with a complete array of whole home remodels and substantial additions, as well as straightforward repairs and ongoing plumbing and electrical work.
We established our firm after years of experience in providing a variety of services. In 2004, we extended our services to private homeowners who had been using several independent trades for their various needs.
By adopting a ""one-stop"" model, we enable homeowners to enjoy considerable benefits by dealing with one firm for all their maintenance needs. We are proud of our ability to address every situation within a residential portfolio, covering houses, condominiums, and apartments. Additionally, we offer our clients a smooth process, removing conflicts between architects and builders.
Our success relies on helping our clients fulfill their visions. Reach out to us now for a free estimate.

Nicki J.do not hire unless you are looking to throw your money away and pay another contractor to do the work correctly. we hired for a complete roof replacement and now we have leaks in multiple rooms and mold inside the house. jacob is the guy we worked with and whoever he hired did the shotties job ever. this crew took shortcuts everywhere and did not add enough nails, flashing, vent system, no underlay and/or water/ice shield. i don't think any boards were replaced when needed but because he doesn't show up when called out for repairs, it is a lost cause. so, don't waste your time or money. - one star only because i had to put a start to write my review, otherwise, there would be no stars!!!
This is the worst company that ever existed.
They bait you in with low prices and professionalism up front. They get your deposit, work for two weeks, and vanish.
His plumber and electricians are unlicensed.
He plastered over mold.
He plastered over dead insects.
He left joists missing from under the house.
He does work with out permits.
Nothing is done to code or correctly.
My guess is he throws people he got off the street at some contracts and takes skilled workers to do other jobs. He doesn't have enough skilled labor to take on all of the jobs he gets. Rather than turn down work, he just throws bad workers at the jobs. The people with the happy ratings must get the skilled workers. (Or they will find out in a few years something was not done properly and will spend a fortune correcting it.)
I asked one guy how long he worked for Raj. He said they got him off the street that week.
Don't waste your money. This guy is a nightmare and a disaster. Shoddy, shoddy, horrible work.
De'Leisa N.Wow, I've had a totally different experience from the person below. ARJ has been my general contractor for two of my properties and did a two-floor remodel for my friend.
Raj is extremely responsive and will usually get back to you the same day. He's often able to get the work done within a week or two if you are in a rush.
In my main home, Raj completed my Kitchen and front bathroom remodel. There was a hiccup when we opened a wall and found the vents flowing through but we found a solution that only tacked on I think $800. But, things like this happen when you start to tear a house apart without the blueprint. When we sold eventually sold our home, he was able to also do a lot of small jobs to get our house on the market.
In my condo in Laurel, Raj's team was able to replace the bathroom faucet. He also replaced the broken patio door.
I won't disagree with the previous review regarding the level of work. There were times where you could clearly see flaws or poor workmanship. However, once the work is completed and you alert Raj, he will send someone to complete the work to your liking. He really does try to work with you. His prices are beyond reasonable. If you want the work permitted, he will do it, it will just cost slightly more.
Hope this review was helpful. Feel free to ask me a question. I would love to help him grow his business. He has definitely helped me a lot!
All I can say is, stay away. ARJ's prices will make it tempting to work with them, but the work quality is poor, slow, and done without even easy to get permits-- despite their commitment to comply with applicable codes and regulations. The sales guy/manager we have worked with is very friendly but will say ""yes"" to every proposal and every deadline and then becomes non-responsive when things go wrong. This has happened again...and again...and again... We have had meetings about this issue where ARJ swears up and down that it will get back on track and improve communications only to fail to show up and go unresponsive again THE VERY SAME DAY. ARJ promised us that it would easily meet certain interim deadlines, only to reveal, weeks and months later, that it never even ordered the components needed to get the job done. The quality of the work looks like something you might pay your neighbor's teenager to do with un-level floors, uneven joints, protruding nails, cracked wood, and the cheapest materials. ARJ's workers have shown little consideration for our safety or property-- damaging a brand new deck, scratching brand new floors, leaving a bathroom flooded for us to find upon our return from work, even using our clothing as rags on one of the few occasions when they bothered to clean up. On multiple occasions, the managers have ""forgotten"" that a certain project is covered by our contract. If you're not convinced and you DO decide to work with ARJ, make absolutely sure you structure the contract so that at least half of the payment is not due until the project is complete. Once ARJ had over half of our payment, work slowed to a crawl. We're at the point where it's a good week if they show up once. Will update the review with any significant further developments as work continues...
