OMG! This really happened to me. A well known business. I had called to make an appointment for an estimate for new A/C and whole house water softener. Setting up the appointment for the A/C was very nice, people friendly. THEN I was transferred to the plumbing department to Albert who is a sales represent for the water softeners. Now I have never had any thing like this before, what is good, what are the options. Albert gave me a quote over the phone $949 to $4k. I asked for a sales rep to come out so I can ask questions, so they can explain the options. His reply was I gave you the quote. Tried to explain that I would like someone face to face to ask questions. Albert again refused. I then said I will not be using the company. Albert said do what ever you want and hung up on me. Now think new A/C appx $5k...possible water softener for $3k hmm that is $8k that the company has lost. Then to top it off, I called back to speak to the plumbing mgr, left message at 10:00 am and guess what no return call and it is now evening. What a way to run a company.

Installed a hot water system for me and botched the job. Terrible time getting them to repair their shoddy workmanship. The workers don't speak English. Use extreme caution when using this company. They hide their poor reputation at Home Depot and screw up their good name to boot. I would not recommend delta mechanical.

They were recommended by my local Home Depot in Cave Creek. I needed to have a pressure reducing valve (PRV) installed because the pressure coming into my home from the street was over 100psi. (The city will only correct for pressures above 120psi, which is ridiculous.) I called Delta Mechanical for a price quote and they told me $175. When the plumber arrived he called the office and they told me it would be $250 because I had a 1"" line and they had quoted for a 3/4"" line. I questioned this because I knew the larger PRV did not cost that much more since I had shopped them at Home Depot. The supervisor explained ""there's more labor to cut in a 1"" PRV than a 3/4"" PRV"". Is anyone out there naive enough to believe that? I let them do the work because I needed it done but will not deal again with a company that insults the intelligence of its customers. The plumber they sent was friendly and conscientious so I give him high marks but not Delta Mechanical.

The worst--the ABSOLUTELY WORST company I have dealt with as a home owner and apartment complex owner. What should have been a 1 day job, took 8 days, three of which had half my house without electricity because one of the technicians shorted out two lines. And of course let's not forget the missed appointments where I cancelled a weekend vacation trip.

Despite Home Depot's assurance (they contracted with Delta Mechanical) they would help resolve the problem (it still took 8 days to complete the job), and that I would be compensated for the inconvenience caused by their worker's incompetence, I received nothing since they determined that it was ""unforeseen issues related to pre-existing conditions in the home."" Old houses have old wiring. If a company can't hire technicians to work in homes that are more than a few years old, maybe they shouldn't be working in them.

While Delta Mechanical's local and national reviews have been spotty, I assumed that Home Depot would stand behind and guarantee the work of their contractor. Don't make the same mistake I did and think maybe the good reviews of Delta Mechanical might outweigh the negative ones. I realize the negative ones tell you the real story--especially when there are so many of them.

Don't be fooled by HP's rhetoric and reassuring words that they'll do whatever they can. Not even one dollar of compensation for my inconvenience was offered. I've cancelled my HP credit card and will be purchasing my $10,000 + yearly building supplies from Lowe's. Same quality, same price (lower actually) and better contractors for their products.

I had them do my A/C install and was pleased with it. That's where it goes bad. I had them quote a water heater install, and the guy said he gave me a quote that saved me hundreds of dollars. Made one other call to a competitor and the quote was 30% cheaper. Hmmm???

Then he mis-measured the unit, and I was told they could not find this weird size unit anywhere in the country.

After several days I decided I did not want to go through with it.

They had already charged my card, but they said they could not find me in their system. So, I am now disputing it with my bank to get a refund.

I am not impressed with their lack of organization, as well as charging me before the installation. And, am now a little concerned with the A/C. I hope I don't have any problems in the future.

And, shame on Home Depot, as they were the ones who referred me.

This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with!! It's been months and I'm finally writing a review. Now that I found them on yelp, I am not surprised by all the bad reviews they received. I don't even know where to start!?

First off they placed a electric heater/ac and the crap wouldn't work when it was freezing outside! I call and complain and their answer is because it's freezing outside. What!!??? Really?? That's why we got it in the first place! Then they finally answer and tell me it's because our order didn't have coils. And coils would be an extra charge. Are you freakin serious? We froze for two months because you didn't install coils? Did I mention I had a water leak happening in one of the bedrooms because they didn't properly close off the vent from the roof!

The technician came out at least five times to the house. On the last visit, looks at the order and realizes it wasn't supposed to be an electric heater/ac unit! The order was for a gas unit!

Okay, so they screw up the order, have us freeze for two months, and forget to put vents in the two bathrooms. Constant phone calls to the manager Tony and never calls back! He finally called back after three weeks of leaving messages, only because we went to the manager of Home Depot. Home Depot works with these clowns. They need to cut their ties! It's not building my confidence with Home Depot either. Shame on Home Depot to have a contract with this Delta Mechanical! Next stop will be Michael Finney on channel 7 news. This company is garbage!!!

Home Depot sent Delta Mechanical out to repair the A/C on one of our rental units. LONG story....they convinced me over the phone (we live out of state) that my 3 year old unit was a cheap one and not repairable. Installed new unit for $4,500.00 and THEN we found out the leak was in the line going into the house NOT the unit they replaced. When I complained to Delta and Home Depot they claim they have a 90% satisfaction rate and that is ALL they care about!! So after some research guess who I found does the reviews of customers....DELTA, they do their own customer survey!! Well Duh...no wonder they show a 90%. I got ripped off and I am sure they resold the unit that was just fine and made even more money off me. We own several rentals and will not use Home Depot or Delta and suggest you avoid these RIP OFF artist at all cost!!!!

Beware of going to Home Depot and buying a water softener. You will be referred to Delta Mechanical. The salesmen at Home depot told us that the softer would cost us $497 which is accurate. He also said that we could but and pick up the softener at the store and save $80.00 from the delivery charge by Delta Mechanical.....WHICH IS NOT TRUE. They wanted charged us and additional $75 if we did that. So the delivery and install was $288. at the conclusion of the install the tech asked what we want done with the old and it would cost another $25 to take it away. After explaining that was not agreed to either at Home Depot nor on the phone the night before he connected me with someone at their office who waived the charge. I then asked the installer for a detailed receipt and he said he didn't have one and I would have to call their office to get it. I asked to have it emailed or text ed and I was told it wouldn't be ready for 3-4 days. I guess I would not have received a receipt if I had not asked for it. No way to run a business. I would not go back to Home Depot and purchase anything that needed Delta Mechanical involvement

I recently had my home replumbed by Delta Mechanical and they did an outstanding job. The installers showed up on time, they were very professional and worked very hard to complete the job. I was very surprised that the drywall dust was so minimal and the texture work was excellent. The office staff was also very helpful and polite. I had a very good experience with this company and I will definitely recommend them to my friends and colleagues.

They were the installers for our Home Depot HVAC purchase and we recently added a new Rheem unit to our house. Although they were initially late to our install, they worked quickly and efficiently to get it all done within a day. The 3 man crew was professional and thorough in all the necessary hookups. I'd highly recommend them for your HVAC installations.
