I hired ARD to fix a broken door knob for one of my clients.

They took the job and came out. The client or I could not be there with him while he did the repair but he called me after he completed and said it was all fixed. Not perfect, but it was attached and got the job done. He told me he called the client and told him, and that the client was in ok with it, so I paid him the money thinking I wouldn't hear anything else about it.

The next day I get a call from the new home owner that the door knob is just hanging off and not attached. The client then tells me that the repair man called him and told him it was still broken but he would come out the next day to fix. He never told me any of that.

ARD never came back the next day or reached out to finish the repair. Once the new homeowner called me upset, I asked if he could just go out there and finish the job and I would pay what I needed to. He said sure but it would have to be early the next morning. I told the client and new homeowner we would be there early at 8:00a to fix it. They agreed. The next morning at 7:15 he said I'm on the way I'll be there at 8:00. At 7:30 he says actually something came up it will be after 4:30. The client were frustrated but they understood. 5:30 rolls around and I get a call about him not showing up. I message twice and now he's ghosting me.

I'm out $225 and still in the same place I started.

I wish he would have just went to Home Depot and replaced what he needed to fix it from the beginning. Being a good handy man is shooting people straight and sticking to your word. I was lied to about 3 times for no absolutely no reason. J

Ryan sounds like a good guy by phone. He responded quickly to my Yelp project request. Then he went silent for a couple of days so I checked back in via text to confirm if he was still interested in the job. He said yes and set an appointment for two days later. The repairs were for an elderly tenant of mine who rearranged her schedule to accommodate him. Ryan did not show up to that appointment and he did not call or text.

After a couple of hours of waiting for him, I text him to see if he was on his way. He quickly responded with the words "Can we do tomorrow please". He offered no apology and was far less friendly than our prior phone calls. I asked if everything was ok. He responded with "Family emergency". He asked to come the next day at 9a. We gave him another chance and agreed to the time. He no showed again. Haven't heard anything from him. This was particularly embarrassing because my tenant had relied on my word when I reassured her that Ryan would be there.

I had a cabinet in our kitchen that needed repair. It was a bit tricky because the the original custom installation was not a high quality and the railing used to slide the cabinet out was not functional. Jacob repaired the cabinet sliders and ensured that they were in a better position than they were before. I will consider using them for other projects in the future.

Ryan was friendly, thorough and communicated very well. He told when he was coming and where he was at. He did the job excellent and with a great personality I might add. He is a veteran from our armed forces and that right there tells you that he pays very close attention to detail. I highly recommend this company for plumbing and other handyman projects.

We have called on Ryan for a complicated plumbing issue and again to install a water heater. He also has done tile work for us. We were very pleased with his work ethic, including promptly answering our calls, being on time, cleaning up the work site, and hauling units and trash off. He's very talented and courteous. We will continue to use him as well as recommend him to our neighbors and friends.

They were a no-show on a follow-up job. Ryan's wife verified the date with me but apparently there was miscommunication between those two. Funny thing is I called them 3 times during the day and never received a response - nothing. I know they had my phone number because I left several phone messages. Very disappointed. Ryan seems like a real nice guy but they need to improve their communication.

People have no respect for other people's time. It's ridiculous that they can't even bother to show up or offer an apology. Don't bother dealing with people who clearly don't value their commitments.

Ryan was very helpful in establishing what was wrong with a glass shower door that wouldn't close. He, and his crew, did a great job and met all estimates with regard to cost and time. I'd recommend using these guys for any of your general contractor needs.

When Jacob of ARD (service contractor) appeared to be a good for my bathroom remodeling project but the contractor on the job was unfamiliar and uncomfortable with the normal bathroom materials to be use and seemed surprised with one aspect of what was needed to be done...tardiness was habitual, did not show up on the 2nd day, not prepared nor organized when it came to doing this simple bathroom project...I went back and forth about the work to be done prior and was not convinced of their expertise...I decided to share my experience because a homeowner should never have to identify obvious tasks that need to be completed...At this time I would not recommend using them...
