According to them, everyone is lying. The fact is they are crooks. They dont even dispute that the technician intentionally broke the unit. She then makes up a lie that I didnt want to pay the other vendor which is simply not true. You have been warned. Run from these guys.

I at first had a major water leak. I got fast reliable service. I was so impressed with the job that I had Beltway Builders come in and remove a toilet so that they could repair wall and floor before Artic came back and reinstalled the toilet and then readjusted my septic main. I cannot give even more stars for the treatment I have receiveds from these sister companies.

Run from these guys. I had them do a diagnostic. I decided not to use them because they were way too high. The technician who came from another company pointed out that they had lied about the problem and had intentionally damaged my unit. Run from these guys do not use them.

The reply from the owner of the company is patently false.

You have been warned!!!! Use these guys at your own risk. For the record, the other company fixed the problem for $482.....

My sump pump went on the fritz around 7:00 pm 3/28. Charles Graves of Arctic Plumbing was the only after hour responder I could get and he came out and replaced my sump pump which fixed my problem. He was kind, courteous, informative, and even followed up this morning 3/29 to see if everything was alright. Very hands-on and I would recommend them. Kudos Charles Graves.

DO NOT RECOMMENDED-OTHER COMPANIES OUT THERE ARE HONEST FOR LESS $ They sent a PAST DUE Invoice over 6 months later after, we told them never mind-They never did any work. They were quick to schedule an initial diagnostic visit and provide an estimate. Charged $100.00 just to show up and tell us the compressor was bad and provide a $1900.00 estimate.
2nd opinion from another company who actually looked up the bad compressor and let us know it was still covered under warranty: They only charged 400.00 Labor to install NOT $1900.00...
NO OPINION ON THEIR WORK PERFORMANCE

I am upgrading my review of Arctic Plumbing due to a compromise from both parties. I am a fair and honest person and did not take advantage of the full offer made, because I was satisfied with the work. The original pricing was my concern. I have also updated my post on Facebook.

My alarm was going off for my sump pump so they came out. First they told me I would have to pay a emergency fee of $25. He finally came out and told me my pump was broken and the emergency fee was $225 and when I told him I was told$25 he just said the lady on the phone talks fast. Sho he told me it would be about$900 to fix the pump on top of the emergency fee. When I asked him to explain why it's so expensive all he said was that's just what it cost and he could care less of i get the work done or not. Anytime I question anything he said his response was I don't care if you do it or not I get paid either way. He was a jerk and they were full of crap. The pump worked fine I ended up only having to replace the breaker which was$8. I would not recommend this company they are terrible.

BBB CASE#: 36113814

*** This complaint has been closed. UNANSWERED!!!***
Complaint filed by: William Foster
Complaint filed against: Arctic Plumbing and Air, Inc.
Complaint status: Case Closed - UNANSWERED
***Case Description: Aggressive Sales Practices and Strategies!!
I contacted Artic Plumbing Company to examine my central AC. They informed me, as they do everyone, that if you go with their service they would remove the $79.99 service fee. I hired this provider to fix my central air unit. The contractor (Brian B.) came at 1500 as scheduled. I was outside with him as he examined my central AC unit. He informed me that the Capacitor needed to be replaced. I asked him ""how much is that."" He said, ""expensive as all AC repairs are expensive."" He said, ""I will go to my truck and see if I have one."" He returned with the item and began to fix it. We again asked, """"How much!!"" He said when I finish, I have to call and see."" He unscrewed two screws holding the old Capacitor and unhooked 3 wires. Installed new Capacitor, 3 wires and 2 screws. Total time 6 minutes! We went inside and he went to his vehicle. While inside, I looked up the cost of the as fore mentioned Capacitor. It retails for $40-50. I assumed the cost would be around $150. The contractor returned with a bill of $324.93. I asked him what the breakdown of the bill is labor, parts, etc. His receipt only said $324.93 nothing else. He said, ""I do not know."" I called to dispute the bill and make payment, as it would have been to late to cancel, repairs have already been completed. I spoke representative Tina in regards to my situation bill breakdown/overpricing/repairs being performed without notification of price/consent. She informed me that the prices are governed by Maryland (I was later informed by another company, Extreme Comfort Heating & AC, this is not true it's actually unregulated and they would have charged me $170.00). After several minutes of complaining I realized that I was trapped and paid the bill. What I believe happens to the consumer is they inform you that they will not charge you the $79.99 and then re-bundle it in the final cost. This advertisement is misleading and deceptive in practice as are their repair practices. There are zero quotes given nor a request for permission to fix. This is why there is not a bill breakdown, that's why the technician and representative are unable to answer the questions. All events occurred on 8/5/2015 @ approximately 1630 hrs.

****Desired Resolution: The resolution I request is a price match for the repairs. A competitor informed me they would have charged me $170.00. The total time for the job was 6 minutes, literally. I was misled then tricked into the completion of the repair. A bill receipts is available upon request. After, continuous conversation with the business I was informed (after the fact of payment) the bill breakdown is as follows: Labor $125.00 and Parts $199.93. This is $125 for 6 minutes and a 400% markup on parts. Does this sound reasonable to anyone. If anyone was informed of a 125.00 labor cost and a 400% percent markup. Do you honestly believe they would have received the business?

OUTCOME: THEY REMOVED THEMSELVES FROM BBB TO HIDE THIS POST

I was told that the diagnosis would cost $80.00. So I scheduled an appointment for 3pm. They showed up at 9am and then tried charging me $175 first because MD is in the state of emergency so that's the rate which the guy did not mention on the phone nor the lady I spoke too also because the guy sat in my driveway while I wasn't home and did not know he was there. I do not recommend this company. When I called the guy argued with me on the phone and told me to go to another company. Not to mention the technician they sent then broke my light while leaving. I will be leaving this review everywhere possible.
