I have had a fabulous experience with Arcaya remodeling.

Luis Arcaya and his very competent team did a fabulous job renovating my kitchen in Chestnut Hill.

We thoughtfully problem solved and installed heated floors. I am so happy.

This started because of water damage in 100 year old house, and when I called Luis, he came within the hour to help assess the problem and mitigate the water disaster.

Enclosed are close some before /middle and after pictures.

In addition, he and his team have assessed my roof and painted the exterior of my house and shored up my lovely screened in porch.

I am new to getting upgrades and fixing things that need to be fixed. I got a referral from Jeff Meese (real estate person), he said that Luis Arcaya was a great guy, so I went with it. I could not have been more happy with the work they did! First they started saving a screened in porch that was rotting in at least two places. They did a fantastic job, asked questions about were to out outlets, new fixtures. I kept the job simple because I did not want to put windows in, I wanted an outside space, since then my family has called the porch my she shed.

After that I looked at the patio and the sad looking stone stairs, it was time to tackle the obvious problem which included some rotting around the base of the supporting walls of the porch. I got some advice, and Luis and I went to buy the stones and materials together.

Luis has wonderful people working for him, Rudy, Luis, Adelso and Naty.
They were lovely hard working people, very respectful, socially distant. They did not mind when by dogs got in the way. Initially I had a hard time visualizing the plan to redo the patio and to change the direction of the stairs. I trusted Luis, and I was so happy I did. Now my patio has double the space, and protected a lovey Japanese Maple. Now I can folks come to visit outside. I got a heater to top things off.

Next year I will work with Arcaya Remodeling again!

Luis and his team are very skilled and professional. They did not rush through my job. Everything was measured carefully and my input was invited at each step. When they were done, I had a full length mirror, bookshelf, new hooks for my bathrobe, and extra storage cabinets in place. Luis even gave me his furniture placement advice and by the time the crew left, it was as if my condo was transformed. Plus Luis and his team members are very friendly. Most people have complaints about the contractors they hire. I have nothing but praise for Arcaya Remodeling.

Consumers beware!, after paying this contractor a substantial amount of money, he abandoned our job. He abandoned our job on November 21, 2019, leaving us with a house with no electricity, no plumbing, no running water, no kitchen, missing windows, unfinished stairs, unfinished floors, unfinished tiling, no baseboards, no interior doors, no window trims, unfinished deck, unfinished roof, unfinished balcony, an unfinished basement with a huge hole in the basement concrete floor, unfinished siding, unpaid subcontractors, construction debris, and an unfinished driveway that he also damaged.

Although we paid him according to our contract, he repeatedly asked that we pay for items he was responsible for, as advance payments to him. He stated we could subtract any advance payments provided to him from the ""end of work payment"". Desperate to move the work along, we stupidly agreed to several of these requests, which included advance payments to him, advance payments in the form of purchasing construction materials that he was responsible to purchase, advance payments to pay subcontractors that he was responsible to pay, we even paid for the removal of construction debris.

The last check given to him was an advance payment of $6000.00, which he requested to purchase materials to help complete our job. Feeling desperate to move the work along, we once again agreed and paid him. In fact, when asking for this money, he sent his entire crew to work on our home, telling us he was prepared to have his crew focus solely on completing our job, so we can finally move back into our home. However, as soon as the check cleared, the crew diminished, and he never provided the materials, a few weeks later he abandoned the job.

My wife and I have been trying to find a good contractor for years, so we are grateful to have found Luis! His company's work, communication, and overall professionalism are top notch. Luis came by shortly after our initial conversation and work started shortly after that. His company's work to address water problems in our base exceeded our expectations, laying a drainage pipe in the back yard, patching our foundation, replacing a basement window, and even cleaning our gutters. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Arcaya for years to come!
