Kitchen sink hopelessly clogged. Called on a sleepy, Sunday afternoon and I got call back within 5 minutes. The tech, Joe, suggested I wait till the next morning to avoid overtime charges. He said he'd be arriving between 9:00 and 9:30 and was knocking at the door @ 9:05. He snaked the drain and was done in 20 minutes. Clean and courteous. $145 is a lot for a 20 minute house call, but that's the way things are nowadays. Better than paying some kid $50 just to have someone come back to do it again for the 2nd time.
Yesterday morning, I woke up to the worst nightmare of all. Raw sewage was coming up through a shower after flushing a toilet. The worst nightmare of all. I called my plumber who recommended a septic company who recommended Arc-O-Rooter. There was one job ahead of me and he arrived with about three hours. He had to remove a toilet to snake it and all said and done, he was finished in about 30 minutes. The price to clear the main was $275.
It'll take a lot more than that in prayer, mojitos, candles and well, truth be told, a bag of cheese doodles. Thank you Rick (and Jesus) for resolving this issue quickly and restoring my hope in, well, life.
Frances O.I was totally shocked that the time between my call and my problem being solved was less than 2 hours. We have an old house with guess-where-this-pipe-goes plumbing and, at the time I called, a sink and shower that wouldn't drain at all. Joe was totally unfazed by the puzzle and the problem. Not only efficient, but pleasant. And, the price was reasonable. Far exceeding expectations.
Chris W.Most impressive plumbing service I've ever encountered. They snaked a kitchen drain for me.

Don't even think about calling anyone else! The man came over to snake my shower drain. He was on time and very courteous. Turns out, the drain wasn't clogged. Because I only use the shower, the plug was stuck. He unstuck it and left.Very honest! Roto-Rooter was here last week for the same problem. He quoted me a price of $400+! So glad I called my neighbor and he recommended Arc-O-Rooter. Oh, by the way, if I did need the drain to be snaked? The cost would have been about a third of what RR were going to charge. Highly recommend!
Toilets wouldn't flush. Running water in sink make toilets bubble. Called on Saturday evening hoping to get someone to come out on Sunday to check. Gerardo called me back at 10:30 pm and showed up at 10:30 am on Sunday (Father's Day). I had dug the septic cover. He dug another access point, snaked back into the house and had problem solved in a hour. He said not unusual for galvinized pipe to narrow after 30 years. Very responsive, prompt, professional, very reasonably priced. Have to thank other Yelp reviewers for making this company my 1st call. Hope this sends others business his way. Well deserved.
Called on a Saturday morning due to the kitchen sink being completely clogged. Got a call back within an hour. Tech' came right out to my home in Sandy Hook. A nice, clean cut young man, polite and courteous came to the house quickly. Assessed the problem and rooted all the way from the trap to the septic tank. He was done in about 15 minutes and even cleaned under the sink from where the pipes leaked. Great company and excellent service. Reasonable price, especially for a Saturday.
Was told by potential buyer's septic inspector that there was a clog in a line. That same inspector recommended Arc-O-Rooter. Gerardo came as scheduled and advised that the ""inspector"" was incorrect and actually dug up the section where the water comes into the junction and demonstrated there were no issues! They potentially saved me hundreds of dollars. Will recommend them any chance I get
In the past 25 years, Rick from Arc-O-Rooter has been to my home about 5 times for plumbing problems. Unexpectedly today I found my kitchen sink had backed up and I needed an industrial strength snake to unclog the pipe. Without hesitation, Rick reassured me that he would come and fix it. Oh - did I mention that it is Saturday, 11 degrees outside with ice and snow all over - and I am certain that he has had plenty of emergency calls with people far worse off than myself. But the professional that he is - everything was taken care of in under an hour and I am completely and totally grateful for a job well done and a team that is nothing short of the absolute best - bar none. Thanks Arc-O-Rooter - you made my day!
Lucille W.We have an old house and at times we need their service. They are terrific. They arrive quickly and they are very efficient. Their prices are very low. I recommend them highly.
