The gentleman who came to my house to fix my shower and my toilet was very professional, but the prices are ripoff prices. The toilet needed a new handle and chain was a $5 part and he said his company would make him charge $235 for a 10 minute job. He said ""We use a book for pricing and it is what it is!"" The other part was a higher price part and he wanted around $265 for that on the same trip. This company takes advantage of people, WATCH OUT!!!!!!!

Aquatech installed my AO Smith water heater about 2 years ago in my home in Naperville. When it stopped working I called Aquatech to fix it on September 1st, 2016 Well $300 later and 2 misc parts, my water heater has not worked since Labor Day weekend and it is October 1st. I found out later anybody can install the AO Smith products they were not authorized by A.O Smith to repair. They installed the venting incorrectly so AO Smith won't take any responsibility. Aquatech is expensive and not worth the money. Run the other way and don't buy any AO Smith water heaters. Regarding AO Smith, I would have to say their customer support is the worst I have ever come across. After 8 calls they have not provided any support other than point there finger at everyone else. So far on their $1750.00 high efficiency water heater if after 2 years of a 6 year warranty it can't be fixed I would have to say that was hard earned money down the dräne no pun intended.

I called Aqua Tech first for an issue with my master bath shower and then on a 2nd consecutive day for a problem that sprung up with my kitchen sink. Both experiences were phenomenal. Aqua Tech sent Nate on the first day and I could not have been more impressed with his professionalism, knowledge and trustworthiness. He explained everything and warned me of the problems that might occur with the work I was asking him to perform and the ensuing costs. I actually incurred very little cost that day. Nate was incredibly fair and honest. The next morning, upon realizing my kitchen sink was backing up and I had a leaky pipe, I didn't hesitate to call Aqua Tech and ask for Nate again. I was not sorry that I did. Nate worked tirelessly to diagnose the source of my leak and completed the work in a timely manner. The best part was that he cleaned up the mess of his having to cut the drywall. I've had many people into my home to make repairs of one kind or another and I've found that the practice of cleaning up after oneself seems to have fallen by the wayside. Not with Nate! He got a shopvac off his truck and cleaned it right up. I highly recommend Aqua Tech and Nate. I truly feel I paid a fair price for quality work by a professional.

I had Aquatech replace a gas water heater. The price quoted was $900, and I was charged over $1,300. When I returned home from work the day after installation, my house smelled strongly of gas. Nicor came within 20 minutes and shut off the gas to our house, explaining there were 5 errors in installation, causing a significant gas leak. I called Aquatech the next day and explained the situation to a secretary, who would have a plumber call me --- no call from a plumber. On the second day after gas shutoff, I requested that a different plumber with the company come to do repairs, and was told that since it was a holiday weekend only the original plumber, TJ, was available. TJ returns to complete needed repairs so my gas can be turned on. I call Nicor to approve his repairs, and surprise, the repairs were not done correctly. Finally, after a wait of several hours, TJ does come back and replace a missing part and Nicor returns and turns gas on. I went for 4 days without gas in my house, and so requested a reduction in installation fee from the owner. I received no response!

I would recommend to avoid this company at all costs. Having used many tradesmen over the past years, this company Aquatech provides the worst service imaginable.

Company does not stand by their work!

3 months ago, we had AquaTech in St. Charles service our tank-less water heater in a home we just purchased. The technician replaced all of the interior components, but broke a fitting inside. We had to go another day without hot water, but he returned the next day and took over 3 hours to attempt the fitting repair, which popped 3 separate times while I was there, sending water everywhere. Eventually, it held.
After 3 months, my wife said the water heater was shooting water out of it (2 ft. each side) flooding the basement area until I was able to turn off all water. Luckily it was a weekend, so she was not at work, but the walls, floor and appliances were covered in water. It ended up being the same fitting that they broke and will not accept responsibility. I am now told there is no warranty and they offered nothing to help me resolve my problem. My family has been without hot water for almost a week now.
They have washed their hands of me using their hot water, since I haven't any of my own.
I highly recommend calling any other plumbing contractor.

We have used four different plumbing companies in the last decade. One was cheaply priced and did not know what they were doing (You get what you pay for). One knew what they were doing, but was exorbitantly priced. One was fairly priced, but spotty on service. Then we found Aquatech. They are the only ones we have found who score well in all three categories: professional, fairly priced, timely. Thank you Aquatech!

I really wish I had read these reviews before calling them. I recently used them to do repairs in my laundry room, and they wouldn't give me any idea of cost before coming out, but I went ahead anyway. On the plus side, their tech was prompt, friendly and did good work. However, #1, they charged nearly $700 for repairs that several others said should have been $300-$400. #2, the work that they did do caused something else in the plumbing system to come loose, leading to banging pipes, which had never happened before they did this repair. It wasn't their fault, but since their repair triggered this issue, we asked them to come back out to look at this. When we asked them to try to help us figure out what happened, they basically said that they did nothing wrong, that the banging pipes weren't their fault, and wouldn't even consider negotiating any kind of fair price to try to fix it. They told us our options were to either pay to fix it, or live with the noise. I have no complaints with their level of professionalism or the quality of their work, but they are way overpriced, and I would never use them again, or recommend them to anyone. I advise going with a company that gives free estimates, or at least get more than one estimate.

Aquatech was friendly and able to have a plumber come out quickly to fix a faulty and leaking valve under our pedestal sink. Aside from being under the sink, the valve could not have been easier to access as it is a pedestal sink with only two legs holding it up. No soldering or cutting necessary and they did not even have to replace the compression ring and nut that was already on the copper coming out of the wall. Turning off the water in the house couldn't be easier. The plumber asked me where the main shutoff was and when I showed him that it was in a spot that was a little hard to reach, he asked where the hot water heater was. After I showed him, he walked up and turned the handle on the shutoff valve 1/4 turn and it was done. How much did they want for this? $387.00!!!
As a comparison, I had an entire water heater replaced in my townhouse for $375 by a Home Depot licensed plumbing contractor. They had to turn off the water in the house, distinguish the old water heater, drain it, cut the copper pipes, remove the gas line, remove it from the townhouse, move a new one in place, cut and install new gas piping, cut and solder new copper, attach the exhaust flue, fill it, fire it up and test it.
I would have kicked AquaTech out of my house if it wasn't for the fact that the valve manufacturer agreed to pay the bill and the valve was dripping into a bucket. The real kicker is that they had to come out two more times because the supply connector that the plumber insisted had to be replaced kept leaking.
The valve manufacturer has agreed to replace the 4 remaining valves in my house for up to $250. This is fair and I have since found another plumber who will have no problem doing this for $250. What would AquaTech charge, over $1,000?
In my opinion AquaTech price gouges.

They do good work but are pricey! For the replacement of a Moen cartridge and installation of a shower head that I purchased myself the bill came to $451. It took less than an hour. I will price shop before I hire them again for such low-end work.
