I've used this company for over 10 years from my backflow service. Service has gotten down over the years as it is taking longer to get an email or call back. However, when they do the job they do it quick. Prices have gone up to $50 now.

We have used this company for 16 years. Unfortunately, the customer service quality has completely gone downhill in the past 2 years. Last year, we scheduled the back flow test and the guy did not show up as scheduled 2 times. He then showed up unannounced, and did not come upstairs to notify our office or pick up the payment for the services. The company did not follow up with us on this after many phone calls we made. So we mailed the check. We then received an additional bill due to the fact the technician had to make another trip to perform the test. The service was all over the place and really disorganized. Unfortunately, after 16 years, we are going to look for a new company for our backflow test this year.

The good thing about this company is their annual backflow test is only $45.00. I had other quotes that are way more. I was very happy with their prices for some 5 years. However, when your backflow test fails, they charge way to much to get the repairs done. On my proposal they sent me, they were asking almost $400.00. They didn't split the price between labor and parts, so I'm not sure how they got this crazy price. This price does include a re-test.

I hired a handyman to do this job. I ordered the parts from ebay for $50.00. The handyman did the job in 15 minutes. In reality, it would of taken him 5 minutes, but he said he doesn't change these that often. It was so easy to change that the next time, I'm changing it myself.

My question is how can a company charge you so much for a job that can be done in 5 minutes? The parts if bought wholesale is probably only $25.00. The reason I still rate them a 4 star is because their annual test is cheap. Also, I'm not sure if this price is expensive compared to other plumbers. Maybe that is the going rate for a plumber.
