I reached out to four plumbing companies to replace my water heater and just based on the quoting process alone, I will be moving forward with another company. Aptos Plumbing was quick to respond to my quote request, but after coming by to look at my water heater and setup, I received a call stating that it would cost between $3600 - $4600 (and this is for a mobile home!). Although the assessment was done a week ago, I didn't receive anything in writing and was told that the price is always the same and I shouldn't waste his time in wanting a paper quote. I explained I would need to get approval from the property management and would like to show the work that was to be done.

With new counters installed, none of our old double sink plumbing lined up and our new gas cooktop needed hooking up. Bruce from Aptos Plumbing gave us a very accurate estimate, then came out and installed the new cooktop, garbage disposal, sink strainer and all the required under sink pipe work to match.

Great to find a local dependable company. Will definitely use again for plumbing needs.

Karma- I can't wait until the bubble pops and the local service industry gets a taste of reality. Because presently? They have all of the power. And often abuse it. That being said. I called Aptos plumbing urgently. They had a major well crisis and hadn't had water for over a week. Four people living in our house in thousands of dollars in landscape dying. They got Bruce to come out the next morning which was the next afternoon. Fair enough that's how it goes. He was extremely knowledgeable yes. He actually found issues that we weren't aware of.And knowing the critical nature of our situation said he was coming back the next day. And emailing me the quote for the several different issues and potential repairs for the job. Then I had to call and leave my email for that potential quote? Which was supposed to be there that evening? Never received a call the next day his wife said the next morning or evening? Cut to3 days later and I have not heard a word. And this is how you treat a customer in crisis? No phone call, no email? No communication at all. Just string them along and expect them to what? So I hate to tarnish their unchallenged five star review. But Aptos plumbing was a huge disappointment for me. They basically left us high and dry without even a common courtesy of telling us when or if they were going to do the job. Which is unprofessional enough when you don't approach a business in an already critical situation. But basically cruel and rather heartless given our situation.

Your comment is not true. There are 50 people in Seacliff Mobile Hones that had legal extra connections for irrigation and water systems that the park knew off and approved. We had numerous meetings concerning the Water Meters and the board said that Aptos Plumbing solicited business . Even the manager Art Alfaro recommended that we NOT use Aptos Plumbing because of their bad work. 50 people were complaining of the bad work, leaks, and messy clean up. Some people complained that workers took pipes out and left gaping holes which they did not have permission to take the pipes out. How could they forget something so simple to turn on the valve.??

The job was done well it was everything else that was bad. Started off with an appointment which I had to move things around to keep. Out he comes to tell me he has no parts and he'll be at my place the next day at 8am. Gee, thanks, there goes that afternoon. Next day I called at 10am because no one was there, ""cleaning the truck"", I was told. OK, showed up over 2 hours late and did a great job, can't complain about quality. Got an invoice, and paid the bill. Then I got a call telling me that, well, the invoice wasn't accurate because he didn't charge me the rate he should've charged me at and he forgot something. Turns out he didn't forget anything, the invoice had all the work he did it's just the total was not what the office deemed the right amount. I got the distinct impression that I had the ""special"" rate. There's a rate that the plumber charges for work performed (and that's what he charged) but then there's my rate (which is what they wanted). I was told it's some app screwup, couldn't get the right rate, ""computer issue"", I had to pay more. Turns out they charge more than lawyers do. It came out to about $1400/hour since the work was maybe 30 minutes. Like I said, quality work but that's all I can say good about the experience.

Holiday? I called the previous week to schedule and was told Monday. I said it was labor day and was told you were still working. So don't make it sound like you were coming out on a holiday, it was a work day for you according to your office. And what I was told was you'd be at my house at 8am the next day and the water would be off for 2 hours because you needed to glue some PVC piping and it would have to dry. You specifically asked about guests at my house and that everyone should know water off from 8-10. That's why I called at 9:30 wondering. Sure showed up at 10am. If that's in your window then bully for you. Maybe tell people your window instead of saying that you're busy cleaning the truck.

As for the $300 discount, that's not what you said. You said it's $149 but the first one is more because you have to pay for coming out. That's your standard rates you told me. I didn't get any $300 discount, it was all your standard rates according to you. The issue was they apparently aren't because the plumber who came out charged what he charges for a job which tells me what he charged me was what the rate was. It's not like the guy doing the job just makes numbers up. He was experienced and he charged what he was apparently accustomed to charging.

One bad review and it's ""don't call us"". Well with that attitude I hope other people who read these reviews do the same. Hey everyone, you want to spend $700 for 30 minutes work? Go right ahead.

So appreciate Todd coming out to my mom's house. He was so understanding of our special situation and came when scheduled. He was able to repair our garbage disposal rather than replace it which saved us money for sure. He then stayed and tested it to make sure it worked. Thanks so much highly recommend this company.

We had a kitchen sink issue as the garbage disposal had stopped working. Todd at Aptos Plumbing set up an appt for the next day. The guys showed up on time and immediately decided the disposal was jammed and set about fixing it. Unjammed the unit and we ran a few cups of ice through to clean out the gunk. All works perfectly now and we didn't have to buy a new disposal!

We were pleased with the promptness and quick diagnosis. Price was fair. Did not try to upsell us things we didn't need. Will definitely call them again if we have plumbing issues.

Super unexpected and positive experience with Aptos Plumbing! Thanks to Bruce! They were working at a residence on my street and I stopped by to ask questions about drainage. Bruce provided lots of valuable information and tips. No charge and was enthusiastic about it. I mentioned I was doing a DIY hack until my plumber could repair my shower next week (which included taking out a wall). Bruce offered to see if he can fix it WITHOUT taking out a wall. AND HE DID! Saved me hundreds of dollars! Even without this gesture, the information I got regarding my initial inquiry was above and beyond. I'm truly grateful for my experience today with Bruce and Aptos Plumbing! I highly recommend and will hit them up for any future plumbing needs!

Amazing business! My water heater died so I called several plumbing companies. I left messages but didn't get any returned calls. When I called Aptos Plumbing, within 5 minutes I got a call. By the end of the day I had a new water heater installed. The installers were very nice, worked hard and fast. Cleaned up so nice after they were done. The owners are very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to recommend this company. Five stars doesn't seem like enough!
