Do not use Applewood! Also avoid Lennox at all cost! They are like dealing with the Mob. They will not help you when your purchase goes bad. Technician has been here 3 times so far at a cost of $3000 and still not fixed. Lennox will not sell me the part to install myself.

Ignore the '5 star' Google reviews. I'm coming to the conclusion that Google's reviews are bought and paid for.

I saw this company recommended on the news a while back and had good reviews on Google. I wish I had did more research on reviews because they are ""highly"" overpriced after diagnosing the issue. The technician installed a new piece to what thought to be the problem but he realized it wasn't even that it was a knob that just needed to be turned and it took him less than 10 mins to install/figure out the issue. Sadly he still charged me $356 to change a $29 piece and to me that is deceiving a customer on the actual price. I get it parts and labor but come on $356 to change the piece that really want the issue at all. I really wish I would have received a second opinion because to be deceived like this is just wrong. My appointment time was also set for 3-5pm and didn't get service until almost 7pm which meant I spent most of my evening waiting. again highly recommend not using this company and find one that is more reliable and honest in pricing. I can't stress enough to do your research first! Very disappointed in this company.

Ridiculously over priced. I needed to replace my hot water heater and was quoted $11,100. Got a it done for $3,055 by another plumber. Enough said.

Overcharged throughout the years and kept sayin things were great at 6 month checkup of HVAC ... or sometimes year...then suddenly 6 months later needed a few thousand for a fix ...sometimes blaming their last repair man... once charged 600$ to pull a thermostat (same mode) out of their truck and stick on the wall where the previous one had been ( when I complained they gave me a couple hundred back for being a good customer)- pattern would repeat - eventually got wise and changed to independent local companies with great reviews and reasonable costs.

Do not use these guys!! Upfront applewood had great customer service but their techs are taught to sell first plumb second and they clearly carry quotas. We had a simple leak in our basement stemming from the wash. Tech told us it was under the foundation and they needed to rip it out and gave us a 15k quote. Pushed for us to accept it in person told them there was no way and a second option was in order. Not only did we get a second we also did two more cause of the disbelief applewood left us. At the end of the day it was a broken gasket and only cost $750 through Lakewood plumbing. Do not use applewood in any situation.

Was looking to get a quote on my annual maintenance for my tankless hot water heater.

Looked online and saw estimates of $100-$300. I had Applewood (Eric) come and give a quote and it was $1,735.22 for a flush and basic maintenance. That was with a $200 discount if you can believe it.

The plumber was bragging about how many elderly people they service. Is the goal to just prey on the elderly? Or is it to go house to house and collect the $29 visit fee? You should be ashamed. This business should be investigated for predatory behavior.

I called another service and they did it for $250. They said they hear people complain about Applewood all the time and it's frustrating for honest business owners knowing there are people preying on the elderly that are less likely to price shop on the internet.

Zero stars if I could.

I had an issue with the vent to my hot water heater. I wanted to replace the whole unit. Applewood quoted me $18,000, no joke, on their Better Business Bureau Quote forms. There is easy stairwell access to my basement and easy access to the mechanical room as well. Retail for 75 gallon hot water heater was $2000-$3000 (they obviously pay less). I checked around and the going rate was $5000-$6000 installed, I am sure you could find cheaper as well. Applewood wanted $15,000 plus for one afternoon of work or 3x the going rate. Beware of the price gouging.

Applewood did an exceptional job to fix our plumbing issue. Ryan was our plumber and we live in Aurora CO.

We had tried one of their competitors, who had quoted us a repair of 2000. Something was off, and the plumber reminded me of a used car salesman. We had used Applewood before and had been happy with them so we got an estimate from them as well.

The job cost 225 to fix (including the service fee). Ryan even allowed us to order the parts ourselves, which cost half of what it would have cost if we had gone through them. I waited a few weeks before i wrote this review, just to ensure their werent any issues.

I would recommend Applewood over any of their competitors if you live in the Denver area. I cant speak to any other cities/states, but at least here these are one of the few honest people.

Applewood checked my furnace and told me it needed to be replaced immediately. They quoted me $14,000. I got a 2nd opinion who said the furnace is fine. Applewood tried to take me for $14,000 in unnecessary repairs.
