Appleton Campbell came and did a maintenance Water Heater flush and inspection for us. At first I was hesitant to call after not seeing great reviews in Yelp, but did after they had the best pricing compared to others. The schedulers were very friendly and flexible with scheduling. The plumber Andy V. came and he was very thorough and professional. Would def call for their services again.

CAUTION! Be aware of their pricing... I got 4 different estimates for a HVAC replacement. I told our representative I was getting other estimates as well. Appleton Campbell came in at the highest bid. The next day the representative called me to see if I made a decision, and said he was ready to take $2-3K off the proposal if needed... I don't know about you but $2-3k is a lot!!! If you know I am getting other estimates then maybe you should give me the lowest price possible that you can. If it doesn't work out it doesn't work out, but knowing there was wiggle room of $2-3k sucked. I hate when companies do this. If I would have said yes to their proposal first they wouldn't have given me $2-3k off after I signed... I would have instead paid $2-3k extra than I really needed to...

Our HVAC controller and some wiring was fried on December 23rd. Not the best timing. Glad to have been able to schedule an appointment for the 24th and Justin came out to access our issue and informed me on what happened. I really liked how I received a phone calls to get me updated (due to the holidays there was a delay in the part shipment), email confirmation on my appointment, and getting a photo with name of the tech who is on their way. Will and Levi got my HVAC controller set up and thankfully there was no other issues and we now have heat right as snow is headed into the area in the next few days.

We've hired Appleton Campbell for HVAC and an emergency well pump replacement. Both times the servicemen were kind and informative of what was happening.

We know the well pump was premium-ly priced, but we desperately needed the repair. There was some issue with wiring and after slight convincing from my husband they agreed to send out a service person after hours (same day as the pump replacement) to fix the issue and we haven't had problems since.

(reference yesterday's review of Appleton Campbell) Another complaint: This morning, we had hot water coming from several cold taps. Turns out the ""convenience"" tee that was installed in one of the bathrooms apparently was forcing the recirc pump (and water heater) to run almost continuously. A-C sent another tech to troubleshoot and fix what should have been checked after the install yesterday. With very little help from Rinnai customer support, the tech was able to shutdown the recirc pump, which (along with removing the convenience tee) solved the problem.

After making online appointment specifically for a mini split error code issue, the technician arrived at the door and immediately said that they don't work on mini splits, but the system is leaking oil/fluid! (sure, LOL) and could replace it for 10000$.There was no leaking anything of course. After 50$ service fee I called the guys from:

and with the help of science, and honesty; after 300$ in added fluid and troubleshooting: it's all well now.

While we had a fantastic workman, and service was prompt, Appleton Campbell charged us over $700.00 to install a toilet. When I contacted them to discuss how outrageous the charge was, they told me they would have someone call me back...predictably that never happened. Instead I just received a bag of candy and a pen with a note thanking me for being a customer. Glad to see that $700.00 was used appropriately, That will be the last time we go to Appleton Campbell.

***UPDATE*** A representative reached out to me following my posting of this review on Google, Yelp, and Facebook. I have declined to engage them any further despite their offer to work towards a solution. As I noted in my post back to them, we as consumers, are tired of having to waste our time to be treated appropriately vice being exploited. My hope is that this will be a lesson to them and similar companies, that we have reached our limit.

Fantastic, we had no AC yesterday during one of the hottest days and it was 78 degrees in my house. I had called that morning to see if they had time, we were added to the emergency list, and someone came out within 2 hours of calling. The AC tech did an amazing job diagnosing our unit and called in an electrician from Appleton to finish the work. They also gave us additional options for other work they recommended however, they did not push any of the work just gave us quotes. I think they guys that came out were fantastic and helpful.

I have been a loyal customer of Appleton Campbell since 2013. For years, my husband has contended that they are way overpriced and he has continually encouraged me to pursue other options, but I didn't listen. My experience this past year has been very disappointing and insulting. The installment agreement that I have always signed up for was switched to a subscription; they cancelled on me twice in the past two months; today the service technician became contentious, condescending, and defensive when I resisted an obvious upsell; I was not provided with a receipt for service; when I called to request a receipt via email, I was sent a near empty document and when I requested an itemized receipt, I was sent a document where my signature was forged in two places. There are more colorful details to highlight my frustration and disappointment, but ultimately, I do not feel confident that this company offers responsible service at a reasonable price anymore.
