I do not recommend this company every week my ac line freeze and all they offer is make sure to change the filter well that didn't work , I wish my wife would of read they review now we stuck with a crappy system
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!
Made an appointment to get a price on a new mini-split system. The first appointment was two weeks away. They confirmed the day before. By 2:30pm when no one had shown I tried to call their office. No one works in this office, just an answering service. The service said the dispatcher will get back to me. No return call. I send a chat message through their website since there seems to be no way to get in touch with this company. I get a text back saying they are still coming today. 30 minutes later finally a real person calls and cancels the appointment saying sorry too busy to get their today (this is after waiting two weeks). She offers me the next appointment 3 weeks away.
I'm only grateful to find out about this terrible customer service before becoming a customer.
If I ran my business like they do, I would be ashamed and probably hide behind an answering service too.
Shame on Apple Air Conditioning and Heating on Long Island. This company installed our ductless A/c 8 years ago which cost over $14,000.00. Every year for the past eight years we would pay around $400.00 for a warrantee that covered yearly maintenance and repairs. They would be at our hours for hours, sometimes coming back the next day, replacing parts, adding coolant, etc and would never charge us a penny because of the yearly warantew we paid for. Now that the company has been taken over by a corporation, they no longer honor this warrantee and want to charge my family over $4,000.00 for the maintenance during these tough and difficult times!!! They even want $1000.00 just to add coolant to the system and they say now the warrantee is now just called a ""club membership."" During these tough times when people can barely get by this company Apple Air Conditioning and Heating is trying to extort money from people and it is highly unethical. The summer is coming and it is unbearable without air conditioning in these summer months. This is a health issue. There has to be something that can be done. This corporation only cares about money and is greedy! Shame on Apple Air conditioning and Heating!!!
Marianela A.I've used Apple 2x. First time was for installation of hot water heater and boiler. They were professional and expert from start to finish. Their staff was friendly, very accommodating, efficient, left no mess behind & assuredly explained everything about the system. Best of all, my energy bill has gone down significantly. The 2nd time I used Apple was to install a new fridge water feed and stove top. The Technicians again were so professional, accommodating, knowledgeable & did not leave until the work was done to my satisfaction. Their work was sharp & clean. I would recommend Apple without reservation. Good service, good people. I am a real customer,
If you don't feel like reading this whole review, basically all you need to know is that we were lied to by the person who did the initial consultation in order to gain our business, so we do not recommend this company.
We contacted Apple back in May and set up an appointment for an estimate on June 3. Marietta came and spoke with my husband. She then sent us three estimates via email. After we reviewed them and selected the option we wanted, I called Marietta and was told we needed to provide a deposit ASAP because she said there was availability during the first full week of July. We rushed to get her this deposit, and she picked it up from our home around 10:30am on a Tuesday. My husband signed the contract and was told we would be contacted with our scheduled date. We were also told we had three days to cancel. By Thursday, we hadn't received a call, so my husband called Apple. He was told we were scheduled for July 29. This is not what Marietta had told us. I called and expressed my frustration (I was 35 weeks pregnant at the time and was being induced two weeks later, which meant we would have a two-week old on the day of the scheduled installation). We were also upset that no one had contacted us and that we had to reach out before the the three days to cancel were up so we could decide what to do. We kept the appointment and checked in every week to see if there were any cancellations, which there never were. The installation went fine; the crew was done within one business day. Overall, we are very disappointed in our experience with Apple, especially because we had read such great reviews. We can say with certainty that we will not use them for any future projects due to how we were lied to in order to get our business.
Company failed to show and failed to cancel 1st appointment for annual service. The second appointment they also canceled last minute. When they finally showed. Serviceman did not have filter on the truck and they failed to tell me this in advance that a filter was not available on the truck. I needed to call a second company to change the filter and pay for a second service call.
Terrye B.I had a Fujitsu Dual Zone Ductless system installed by Apple Air Conditioning and Heating on 4/16/2016 for $5100. The system worked well from install until the Spring/Summer 2020. In New York, that was the height of COVID cases and deaths, and having a service person in my home was out of the question. On 5/21/2021 when a service person was finally scheduled, he told me the system was low on coolant due to a leak. The system was recharged for $537.69 AND to check for where the leak was coming from, there was an additional charge of $495 plus tax for special coolant that could be read with a UV light. When I bristled at this extra charge, suddenly, that special coolant was free! On 8/5/2021, the tech returned, finding a leak in the copper tubing to the first floor unit at a cost of $652.71. This work was completed on 8/18/2021. Again, the units were not delivering anything close to what was expected based on original performance. Now, another tech arrives on 9/16/2021 and I need to have wheels cleaned at the cost of $619.18. AND, this will not guarantee a fix, just simply a step to establish what the problem COULD be!
YES! Nothing cover under warranty
YES! ""Priority Service"" took almost 2 weeks
YES! 5 years of contracted coverage at $1222.05
YES! The GRAND Total $3031.61, or 59% of the cost of the system in less than FOUR MONTHS!
I could not recommend Apple Air Conditioning. I have been a customer for over 25 years and I needed a letter for my insurance company to replace a central air unit. The customer service representatives are not helpful and even though the owner came to my house to do the assessment, I still do not have the information that I need for my insurance company and it is over 2 weeks. I guess they do not value a loyal customer.
Nataly P.I interviewed with this company. They don't have a spot of real color. If you ain't white, don't bother applying!
Johanna G.I can't see one of these trucks around without cringing.
We called Apple to service our AC unit and give a quote on replacing it. When the tech got here and slipped on booties over his shoes i was like THIS IS THE COMPANY FOR ME. He serviced our unit and gave us a quote for a new one. It was kind of high (5,900 more than every other quote we got but hey, playas gonna play)
Fast forward two weeks. It starts to get hot. I'm 7 months pregnant with a giant baby. We go and turn on the AC and it's blowing hot air. Weird, since a few weeks earlier the tech said it was working just fine.
I call Apple. I tell them what's going on and ask them to come back. I also assume since it WAS fine until they touched it the service call itself would be comped and any additional repairs we would pay. The woman on the phone (took me four times of messages to get someone to speak to) let me know that if i wanted someone to come for free, it would take two weeks. If i wanted to pay again, they'd be there in an hour.
I kindly told her to take a walk. We called another company who can appreciate how uncomfortable a pregnant woman is in the blazing heat. They came and saw the line for the Freon was moved and all our Freon leaked out (1200$). They also fixed some water plate that was put on a wrong angle after cleaning and leaking all over my attic. They gave me a quote to replace that was, again, not even close to what these people charged. They even came and serviced our unit while we waited for the install.
You want their number message me.
