Not a happy day for me. Tech came out for AC 15 point master tune up. I pay 9.95 a month and get my funace and ac tuned up.The ac tech said I need my condenser coils cleaned at 60.00. When I look at what's included on the tune up #14 says condenser coils cleaned. I asked how cleaning of coils would not be part of yearly tune up, that is what I would expect. He told me I would have to pay. So the contract is you pay them to eyeball your equipment, turn it on, and everything else is just a ploy to get more money. Very disappointed in deceptive, false contract. You can just pay another company a few more dollars and actually save money as they will clean your condenser coils.Cancelling contract ASAP

I would give Apollo Plumbing NO stars at all for a rating. On Sunday, 5/7/2017 I had a problem with the hot water faucet knob on my bath tub. I called Apollo in the Greater Cincinnati area. Because they are a 24/7 service, I thought that they could come out the same day. But they could not, so I made an appointment to come on Tuesday between 2 pm and 5 pm. To be there for the plumber, I took time off from my job; thereby losing about $80.00 for the day. While waiting I received a call from Debbie in customer service who informed me that they would need to reschedule because the plumbers were all too business and other customers took priority over me a new customer. IF YOU DON'T MIND BEING CONSIDERED AN INSIGNIFICANT CUSTOMER AND IF YOU DON'T MIND LOSING A DAY OR PART OF A DAY'S WAGES CALL THIS COMPANY! AS A PREVIOUS REVIEWER STATED.....DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY!

We found out our A/C needed to be replaced and two days later Dustin S. with Apollo showed up to do the work. He arrived on time. He was careful to cover carpets and floors, move anything that might be in his way as he moved heavy and bulky equipment around. Installation was done that day and he, in fact, moved some wiring (inside and out) so it would not be on the ground. Before he left, he went over the equipment with me and actually cleaned around the furnace room. No mess and extremely polite.

Never had them out and never will. Had an minor emergency and called them at 9:30 pm. True to their advertising they answered and offered to send someone out ASAP that night and explained that the call would cost $79.00. I asked them if the plumber was going to have the appropriate equipment on hand concerned about the late hour. They told me that he would analyse the problem and we would go from there. Well, I had already told them what the problem was and told them I didn't need an 80 dollar analysis, I needed a pair of hands to fix the issue for which I would provide the necessary product in the morning. They said, they would have someone call me first thing the next day. Again true to their word, at 8:03 the phone rang and it was the same guy asking the same questions. I explained that the as of the previous evening the understanding was that the plumber would be there first thing in the morning. He said he needed to call me back which he did within 10 minutes to tell me that their plumbers were already on calls..... I thought to my self ""really?"". He said he could have a man out in the early afternoon before 1pm. I reluctantly agreed. At 3:40 pm I called to find out what was going on and was told the plumbers were all still tied up and they could have someone out by 6pm. I told them to forget it and called Midwestern Plumbing. They had plumber here and the problem was fixed by 6pm.

To make a long story short, call Midwestern.

Warning: I do not trust this contractor to inspect my furnace again. Despite the city inspector allowing the homeowner to keep the furnace on, this contractor shut mine off and immediately informed me of their own ""comfort counselors"" who are ready to sell me a new, over-priced system. It was 13 degrees outside when they did this. I felt duress to buy a system from them late on a Saturday afternoon this winter to protect my pipes and hardwood floors.

The following Tuesday, the installation was terrible. They left a mess: pvc glue on washer/dryer, abandoned tools, screws on floor, sharp vent edges exposed and untaped, sloppy concrete applied to vent pipes at window, and installed humidifier to the wrong water line which I ultimately figured out after calling humidifier manufacturer. My installation failed city inspection.

I should not have let them near my furnace under the auspices of their care plan. I wish I called the city inspector for advice before even calling this contractor.

Given my experience, I called and spoke to the management of this company. He said they will continue the practice of shutting down furnaces despite my pleas for them to apply more discretion.

I should say that this contractor made no less than 5 warranty calls to my house to fix all the discrepancies at no charge. I finally passed inspection. However, I experienced far more anxiety than I was prepared for for this purchase.

I was having some kitchen remodeling work done, and I needed the following done:
-Gas stovetop gas supply disconnected and removed temporarily (and then reconnected and replaced) to allow a backsplash to be put in
- Relocation of a garbage disposal unit
-Reconfiguration and connection of pipes to existing dishwasher and new sink and faucet

I had used Apollo before for some minor work with installation of a new washing machine outlet, and they were expensive then too ($277.00), but I was pleased with the service so I had them back again.

I had no idea it would cost over a thousand dollars to have my kitchen work done. Because of the trip charge of $79, which I already had to pay, and not knowing what another company would charge to do the work, I ended up going with them, despite their high estimate. When it was all said and done, the kitchen work cost $1,407.85, which I would say is exorbitant.

On top of that, there work was substandard, and I ended up having to have them come out twice after they were done, because:

A) They had not reconnected the stove properly, and there was a gas leak. Although they are a 24-hour company, they would not come out until the next day, when called about the gas leak.
B) They did not connect the dishwasher supply lines correctly, and the dishwasher would not function, despite several attempts to run it.

On their trip out for the dishwasher, they gave up and said that it was an appliance issue that they could not resolve, even though the dishwasher functioned perfectly well and was used daily before they had worked on the lines.

I then had A1 Appliance out to resolve the dishwasher issue. There service was excellent, and they were able to resolve the issue fairly quickly. They said it was just air in the line, and they charged me only the trip charge, which was $90.90.

I called Apollo to complain about their incompetence, but instead they tried to turn it around on me and told me that if it was just air in the line, I should have just tried to run it some more, even though their own techs who install these lines could not resolve this issue. I asked for a reimbursement for the trip charge that A1 had charged to resolve Apollo's shoddy work. After all, I had spent nearly $2,000 with their company that year. I never received a call back.

Well I feel like I was the victim of a shakedown. Cost me $709 to snake a drain and fix two running toilets. And that's after the coupon I had. Will not use them again.

Our water heater went out. It was a Sunday morning. After trying some simple fixes unsuccessfully, I called Apollo since they came up in a google search and I was familiar with the name. They charged me $79 dollars to come out and tell me they were going to try the same simple fixes that I tried. I felt good about the fact that I had enough knowledge to at least try the simple things. I guess in a way it made the $79 a little easier to swallow. Then they told me it had to be a bad controller. I asked them if there any other diagnostics tests to figure out the problem. Of course, he said ""no"". Not sure if that was true, but he told me that to replace the controller it would cost $1300 dollars and take about 4-5 days to get the part. (So 4-5 days without hot water...which my wife was not pleased to hear) I then said "" what if it's not the controller?"" He told me that the only other thing to do was replace the water heater. He quoted me $3500 to replace my water heater. So I was going to have to spend $1300 to do a fix that might not even work? And then I would have to replace the water heater? I had already looked up the part on the Internet and it was about $200. I also looked up the exact same water heater from Home Depot and it cost about 1200 dollars (I had a 75 gallon heater in my house which was larger than I really needed). The guy from Apollo quoted me $3500 for a 50 gallon tank and $4500 for the 75 gallon tank. He told my wife and I that if we placed the order right then, he was sure they could get it done the next day. Needless to say, I told him I had to think about it. Then I started doing some more research on the Internet. My wife also posted something on Next Door and we were able to get in touch with somebody from Recker and Boerger. They quoted me $1300 for the exact same 50 gallon water heater that Apollo quoted me $3500 for. I was able to get in touch with them first thing Monday morning and they were able to do it same day. Talk about a lifesaver. The moral of the story is, I will never call Apollo again about any of my issues. This all happened about three weeks ago. The other day a customer service representative from Apollo called me. I gave her that exact same feedback about their price gouging and she even admitted that she had gotten similar feedback from other folks she had been calling. She tried to tell me that they pay their service repairmen better than other companies and that you do pay a premium for experienced folks. I wanted to laugh out loud on the phone (but didn't) and told her that paying 3x as much was definitely not worth it. Maybe 10 to 15% and I would've gone with it but that quote was absolutely outrageous. Don't know if they'll take the Feedback seriously but apparently a lot of their techs also get incentivized for selling services. My guess is they have the ability to quote their own prices and probably get a commission off of sales. Thank goodness I wasn't some 80-year-old person who didn't know any better and didn't do my due diligence.

We called Apollo for some simple electrical work - install some can lights, replace some existing fixtures and install electrical on the wall for a TV mount.
On the day the work was to be done, the technicians were late, and showed up without the parts they needed - fine, I wasn't paying by the hour. They were very nice to my kids, which I appreciated.
At 4pm, they had to run - one needed to pick up his daughter - completely understand and respect people's work life balance, but the work wasn't done and we tried to do a quick walk through of what was done on that day before they ran out because there were some red flags. The new outdoor lights didn't feel secure to the brick wall - so we pointed that out and his response was ""you bought cheap lights, that is what you get, don't worry they aren't going anywhere."" That night we had a wind storm - one of the lights banged around so much that two bulbs blew and the back piece of glass cracked. I had to work with the supplier to get a replacement piece - which thankfully they provided under warranty. I called Apollo and asked to speak to a manager about the work that was done, and Surprise - the installer called me back with more excuses. I Never got to talk to a manager.
That weekend my husband and I decided to take a look at the outside lights. When we removed the lights to find out why they weren't tight against the house we found that none of the lights had been properly grounded. We spent our Sunday properly installing the lights - and surprise - there was no reason why they couldn't be secured properly. We also found that not all the nuts/screws had been installed in the lights - like he thought - one out of two is enough. And did he leave the remaining pieces? - nope, so we had to try to find parts that would fit, which I was extremely upset about after spending $500 on new fixtures.
Now we were concerned about the inside work so we got a referral from a trusted friend for another electrician to inspect his work. He found that most work done was against code, the rest was sloppy at best and could have been a hazard to my house and family. Apollo chose to put my kids, the ones they were so nice to all day, at risk because he didn't want to do his job.
I reluctantly paid my invoice for work that all had to be redone just to put this horrible experience behind us. Next time I will do more research. This was an expensive lesson but it could have been worse and my family's lives could have remained at risk. I hope this post saves others from making the same mistake we did.
