I'm not sure where to start. Due to frequent miscommunications - especially with Harrison and Izzy - our project stretched from February through May. While the work is now complete and every technician who came to our house was courteous, apologetic, and seemed genuinely committed, the overall process was frustrating.

We had techs show up with incomplete information - not knowing that the initial call was regarding a clogged sink and not realizing that the rest of the plumbing was working (seemingly) fine.

On the morning the excavation was supposed to start, the director of projects (I believe that was his title - last name King??) came to our home and informed us that our project coordinator Harrison had quit earlier that day. He openly acknowledged that the entire job had been mishandled and poorly communicated. While we appreciated his honesty, we never saw or heard from him again after that visit, and the communication issues persisted.

Several aspects of the experience were particularly challenging:

* We had to use paid time off or rearrange our work schedules on eight occasions to accommodate the team's visits. Once, no one showed up, and we were only notified 30 minutes before the appointment window ended that they wouldn't be there.

* There were repeated visits to address a clogged kitchen sink, and both times, the technician left dirty water in the kitchen and bathroom, ruining a kitchen mat that was not moved out of the way.

* The scope of work was inconsistently communicated. We were told at different times that excavation would happen in the front yard, then in the basement, then not at all. Ultimately, when the team arrived, they initially said they were there to dig in the basement, only to later determine it was unnecessary.

* Each visit seemed to bring a different technician, making it difficult to establish continuity or communicate ongoing concerns.

* Despite repeated requests for a call when technicians were en route so I could secure my dogs (one of whom was injured), this was never done, adding unnecessary stress to myself and my dogs (one of which was healing from a chipped bone, which STILL isn't healed - the unnecessary/repeated visits didn't help that).

While we are grateful for the technicians' efforts and the eventual completion of the job, the lack of clear communication and repeated scheduling issues made the experience challenging. We were convinced to sign up for their monthly Apollo Care Plan, but after this experience, I'm hesitant to welcome them back into our home - if so, we'll certainly be looking for additional quotes. We spent $13k on this project and have seen elsewhere that people have been over quoted by Apollo and took their work elsewhere for a much more fair price. I hope the company will address these concerns to improve future customer experiences.

My technician Jerald Lewis was awesome. During my annual HVAC inspection he diagnosed a failed blower motor which luckily was under warranty. He went and picked up the part, installed it quickly and had my AC up and running great. Besides installing the part he cleaned up my outside condenser unit beautifully. Jerald was efficient , thorough and courteous. Thanks Apollo!

They replaced a furnace and the first guy was very unprofessional and did a horrible job. It had tape holding it together and was wired wrong. The heat would shut off and it was 80 degrees in my house so we had to shut the new unit off. When the city inspector came out after the install he said it looked like a 5yr old installed it. The next guy that came out was much better job but had to order new parts for a new furnace. I had to call on 3 different times checking on when the parts would be in. Finally after a lot of money and a lot of my time it finally worked as it should for the rest of the season. We turned on the AC for the first time and it didn't work come to find out it was a shorted out wire that was from the install. They were supposed to come out to do a ac check and I get a call 2hrs before scheduled time that they are canceled my appointment. Again more of my time that I'll will never get back! This is absolutely ridiculous.

Had to have a sewer line replaced. The sewer line ran under our concrete walkway. Apollo came out. Had to take out a piece of the walkway for the excavation. Left my yard a compete mess and packed no dirt under the new piece of concrete. There are huge holes under the walkway and the concrete is settling so much it is very uneven and creating a trip hazard coming up to my door, have called several times being told this is natural settling and asking for a management call back i get nothing. Will never use their services again, nor will I refer them to anyone.

They are very quick to send a technician out for repairs. They call 30 minutes before their arrival. I appreciated the text with a photo of the technician for safety. The tech was very polite and thoroughly reviewed the water heater. The people I spoke to at the call center regarding my appointment were very professional. The major downside was their estimate for a new water heater and 6 year warranty was DOUBLE the price of any other company in the area.

This review is directed to Mr. Jamie Gerdsen!!
We had a new furnace & air conditioner in stalled by Apollo in 2022.
In the past had major issues with the air conditioner as well as problems
the humidifier. A neighbor commented he'd never have Apollo do any
work at his residence.
Winter tune up completed by Apollo December, 2024.
Current issue-humidifier leaked and soaked wall to all carpeting in family
room. Not sure of extent of damage. Also, humidity level in home low.
The problem is that the humidifier wasn't serviced and the panel wasn't
changed. It's caked with mineral/water deposits and mold. To prevent further
damage we turned off the humidifier.
Call Apollo yesterday, 1/22/2025, and asked to speak to someone with
our complaint. Responsible person not available but will call us back.
Never received a return call.
Called Apollo today asking to speak to someone about the humidifier
complaint. Responsible person not available will call us back. Told Sheree
that was same response from yesterday and it was not acceptable. She
was argumentative and not helpful.
Then we called and spoke to Scott and had a service appointment scheduled
for this afternoon. Never did speak to anyone about the damage to our
carpeting and the humidifier problem.
Mr. Gerdsen we are not happy with Apollo.

To be clear, the quality of the work is top notch! The responsiveness is flawless. Never had a bad technician.

Where APOLLO falls down is in estimating costs. APOLLO has no qualms about charging customers hundreds or thousands of dollars more than competitors.

We had an estimator come out and quote $1200 to install a new garbage disposal, that sells for less than $200 at the hardware store. Long story short. We didn't even need a new disposal.

Stay with me. This was my second experience with this type of estimating. The first was a proposal of $700 to replace a toilet flapper. I ordered the flapper from online and changed it myself.

Here's the deal. APOLLO should charge a premium for the quality of work it does, but you must be responsible for managing your money, because they will take every dime you have, if you let them. Just my $.02
