Brad Ronchetto from Apollo Heating & Air Conditioning is an awesome technician. He is knowledgeable, understanding, honest, and respectful. Our furnace went out in December and our experience for getting it repaired was painless. If you reach out to Apollo for service, I recommend you ask for Brad to be your service tech.

I recently got rid of my trusty old Lennox Pulsejet that was in the house when I moved to MN in 1990's. I do most of my own furnace maintenance, and in the early 2000's, I found that the heat exchanger was cracked. Since this was covered by the Lennox warranty, I had Apollo come and replace it. I thought the labor charge was a little steep, but accepted it. Several days later when I first tried to use the furnace again, it would not ignite. I was going to look at it myself, but I wound up calling Apollo instead since this was obviously related to the recent service. It turns out there was a connection that was not properly fastened. I had some heartburn with being charged another service call, but paid it and vowed never to call Apollo again.

Fifteen years of reliable, trusty service followed with only minor issues, mostly replacing the flapper valve and spark plug. Yearly testing found the new exchanger to be airtight. There was nothing like hearing that rumbling purr coming from the basement on a cold winter night. However, after 20+ years, t'was time for a new furnace.

Okay, so you're probably wondering why I'm writing this...well, after removing the Lennox, I disassembled it to see how things held up, including cutting into the exchanger to look for corrosion (very little). This is when I found a lot of horribly bad workmanship by Apollo's service tech. Unfastened ground wires, missing bolts, missing washers, etc...seriously? Most notably...missing bolts on the exchanger manifold, which could easily have resulted in a CO leak. While it's possible, that the offending technician is no longer there, this story still needed to be told. If anyone at Apollo reads this, bring it to the attention of your present employees as an example that, yes, quality does matter, and a shoddy job will come back to haunt you.

If I could give zero stars I would. We are in the middle of a house addition and we hired Apollo to do the heating for our home in September 2019. Ron, the technician, said he'd have it done by October. They did all the work except the venting. He said he'd have to come up with a solution and get back to us. It is now December and we still do not have heat in our house! It was suppose to be done two months ago!!!! We have called many times and he keeps saying he passed it on to Tony. They finally came back out this week and said that it would be $15,000 cause we needed a new furnace. Why didn't he tell us that two months ago! I will never use Apollo ever again even if my life depended on it. To all that are thinking about using Apollo for your heating and A/C services, DONT! They will just bullshit you. If they would've told me I needed a new furnace tow months ago I'd be less pissed off. We are going through a different company that is charging almost 70% less than Apollo and they are punctual, polite, and honest with us. STAY AWAY!!!

$237 to clean a sensor and release pressure on a hose. Didn't accept a coupon for discount on service call because he didn't use any parts - told me to read the fine print. I suspect there are a lot of service calls that don't require parts, and he seemed well versed in explaining why they won't accept it without even looking at it. If that's how they get their customers and revenue, I'm sure there are better options out there. So - if you are looking for a new company to service your furnace and see a coupon for Apollo, skip it and move on to the next one.

Had a pretty bad experience recently. First time I used my AC after a tune up I wound up with water damage from my attic. Went to check out the issue, and the condensation overflow PVC pipe was snapped at the base.

Tech that came out told me I had to replace the entire system for $5-10k, and didn't want to touch the PVC pipe because it was old.

Here are pictures of me doing the repair:

It's a no from me. I was having new flooring installed in my kitchen and contacted Apollo to take my stove off of the gas line and cap it off temporarily so that the flooring work could be completed. The office staff was nice enough and they scheduled a technician to come to my home in a reasonable timeframe, within two days. Upon arrival, the technician removed the stove from the gas line and informed me that the pipe in the kitchen was badly damaged and need to be replaced, not repaired, but replaced. He further stated that ""Apollo wouldn't even hook the stove back up with the pipe in this condition"". Which really concerned me that the situation was dire. He continued to tell me that in order to replace this pipe they would need to cut out extensive portions of my basement ceilings, running just about the full length of the house and over to where the stove area was in the kitchen above. He told me that he could have someone in their office get me a quote for this work. It then occurred to me, does this guy work on commission or some sort of incentive program?
Before leaving the technician had my bill prepared and tried to overcharge me significantly vs. what the office had quoted me. I asked him to call the office to confirm and only then did he adjust his price. Additionally, he had turned off the water heater and missed turning it back on before he left so needed to have them come back out the following day to turn it back on.
Luckily, I got a second opinion on the pipe and got it repaired at the source, in the kitchen, without having to run new pipe or ripping out my ceilings. It was all completed within an hour by a reputable local company. They even fixed one of the burners on the stove that wasn't working, for no additional cost.
My advice is to watch for the upsell with these guys and get a second opinion. Definitely tried to take advantage of the little lady!

Called to make an appointment. Booked it for June 6. Called to confirm and they didn't have the appointment. ok I just have had he wrong company I thought to myself. They immediately called me back to say they had a new system and some apts weren't transferring and they would be there between 8-12 ok cool I can deal with that.

I get a text msg (picture attached) the night before saying they would be there between 10-1130. Cool! Narrowed down time.

Strike one: they're not there by 1140. I call the main office and they said he's finishing up with another appointment.

Strike two: I say ok will be be here by noon? I got a text last night saying he would be here by 1130! No they said. The system is sending them out and shouldn't be. Your window goes til 1230. By 1 I asked ? They can't confirm and asked if I can reschedule. No thanks. If your company can't keep on schedule and has a messed system that says all I need to know about your service.your time is money. So is mine and I'll be giving mine to a company that has working scheduling systems and technicians who keep their time slots.

Strike 3 Apollo. You're out.

After being a loyal Apollo customer for over 20 years it is time for a change. A furnace that Apollo installed stopped working. They were more interested in deer hunting than helping get my heat back up and running. They certainly did not stand behind their product or stick up for their customer. We are now working with another dealer that values their customers.

Prompt service, very professional technicians, installed a new air exchanger for 60% of the price of 2 other bids. They even went out of their way to repair AND paint the wall where the controller was installed.
