The 7th of July we called around trying to find a Plummer to fix a clog we had in our kitchen sink, we are trying to sell our house and we had a viewing the next day. Apex was more then willing to come out and in desperation we agreed to pay the price just to have it fixed for calling on the weekend and to use the snake was close to $700 they worked for 2hour and 45min with no luck. the Tech went out to his truck and came back to his office and told use it would cost $6800 to go in the basement tear out dry wall and replace the pipe (that's crazy) or we could finance the job. The Corp Office called my wife and said they would get to the bottom of it and would call back in a few day after the 3rd day I called and spoke to the one that is in charge of the crews that go out in field, I was told that some of what we paid could be knocked off for a crew to come out and use the water Jet but it still would cost me over $500.
July 12 my wife found a Company called Drexler Plumbing they advertise $89.99 and if they cant fix it there is no charge the Tech arrive it took his less then a hour to unclog my drain and the Apex crew tried for 2 hours and 45b mins. Say way from Apex!!!!!
I paid to get a estimate of a job and looking back it says free estimates , anyhow I needed a waterline 3/4 teed onto a existing 1/1/2 inch line and ram 60 ft bid was over 6,000.00 and a sewer line 4 inch 30 ft was over 6,000 and a gas line 30 ft at over 11,000 . No one could afford these kind of prices !!!!!!!
Had them come out to fix a leaky shower and oddly filling toilet. It was a bit on the pricy side, but they did a really good job. So far, no leaks or any other other issues. Our technician was very polite, and explained everything he was doing as he was doing it. Didn't mind me looking over his shoulder trying to learn. He even showed me a few things about our systems that I didn't know about. All in all, great service. Thank you!
I will never use this company. All they want to do is find ways to charge you more and more. They are very expensive to start with.
I had requested they someone to empty the septic tank and check the lines going to the septic tank because the septic tank line had backed up in my basement. They came and emptied the septic tank. $700. The technician said he heard the stuff flushing int the tank so everything was OK. I ran some water to test and basement drain backed up again. I told them about about it so they said a plumber will come and check the line. Another $1200 charge. I had no choice. After the mess cleanup he ran the snake and told me that the pipe under the concrete floor was broken so they will need to remove carpet, jack hammer the floor, dig, fix the concrete etc. Another $10,000. I asked if he can run the snake with camera and let me see the break and clog. He said you have to do the whole job.
There has been no earth quakes or ground shifting. How can the pipe break? I decided to get second opinion. Another plumber came(removed his shoes, put his tarp down etc.) ran the snake with camera, showed me the clog, removed it, tested and $350 later he was gone. He also checked the septic tank, which wasn't all the way empty.
Apex guys didn't have the tarp (I gave to them) for the work area, tracked shoe dirt/crud all over (I had to clean it up).
I told APEX that they should at least come back and fully empty the tank. They refused to accept. They said they have a picture of empty tank and video of the pipe breakage. When I asked for them they couldn't produce them.
Do not even think about calling them. I will say this though, the technicians were nice and sympathetic but they couldn't do any thing without calling their boss and boss kept finding ways to charge more.
A terrible experience. They're a bunch of over priced crooks. I wish I had never called them. i wouldn't suggest they're ""service "" to my worst enemy. Hopefully they go out of business soon it'd serve them right.
Tyler N.Terrible experience. If you're looking for a company that is upfront and honest about the work they're doing, this isn't it.
The Tech sent out didn't provide us with ANY information on the status of our job other than ""you're good to go"". Then he left with his $245 check. 5 hours later, the same issue happened (bathrooms and crawl-space flooding) and they wouldn't come out to resolve it without paying for the additional service call.
He never mentioned that he didn't solve the problem. He never mentioned that we could possibly experience the same issue. He never mentioned that the agreement stated they were ""off-the-hook"" for anything that happens after that point. In fact, he covered the agreement and told us to 'just sign here'.
Extremely unprofessional. Extremely inconvenient.
In a desperate situation where water is flooding your home, do NOT call these folks. You'll pay for services they can't, and won't, guarantee just to end up with the same issue.
Janie R.Apex Plumbing just left our house. I will never use them again. Two guys, one friendly and polite, one with a chip on his shoulder. I had the new faucet that I wanted switched out, so the only thing they had to add were two supply lines. They were supposed to call when they left to start to my house, they didn't, but that was okay. I was told that the rate was $120 for the first hour and $95 an hour after that. That was acceptable, cause we've done enough plumbing to know that the job would take less than the first hour. Just can't do it ourselves anymore. They didn't care for the faucet I had purchased because they sell Delta and mine was Peerless( which is a good brand name bought from Lowes not some cheap thing). So they didn't get to rip me off on that. They were here 35 minutes and as far as I can see the job was done correctly. But when I got the invoice. I was expecting $120 plus a couple of supply lines. The charge was $187.50. When I questioned what in the world he put in besides the lines I was expecting, He said that the extra was for travel time from Danville to my house. So $10 each for supply lines I could swallow, but $ 47.50 to get here and I was not told about it when I called to compare prices. In the end I feel like they took me for the travel time and I have learned a valuable lesson.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I was charged so many times for mistakes they made. Wouldn't recommend.
I am giving one star because I have to rate something. I was displeased with the guys hateful attitude.
He treated me with distain and contempt in my opinion.
My bathroom sink wasn't draining and needed a new pipe.
When they were finished with their work, my sink still wouldn't drain, and they wanted another ninety dollars to use a snake.
As for my other issue, they only diagnosed a tub faucet leak.
My bill was over three hundred.
They wanted another six hundred plus to fix the leaky bathtub faucet.
I will never use them again.
I am currently in need of a certified plumber to put in natural gas, and now I am afraid to use anyone.
Daniel S.Well well well, I see Apex is taking care of customers in their usual unprofessional manner. I had them come to repair a kitchen faucet that needed a new washer kit installed. Normally I would do this myself but schedules and the holiday season prevented me from getting the kit at Lowes and completing the repair. I thought that while I would pay for my laziness it would save some time and water and correct what had become more than a drip but a steady stream. They were responsive and arrived to perform the repair. The employee went back to town to get the part and returned s short time later. This was a 25-30 dollar part at best at full retail. The repair complete the employee completed the invoice and brought it to my office for payment. $185.00 for a Delta faucet kit and labor of 1 half hour at best. They charge for the time going to get the part as well. The faucet new cost 185.00. I concur with other posters that these folks are less than honest and frankly I know from other customers they had not installed water heaters and other routine plumbing projects by code. They might take the inspection fee but the inspection never happens. The problem is simple Zach Gammon the owner knows that there is a shortage of plumbing pros in the area and he takes full advantage of that fact. I know other posters here have sung their praises but honestly they are either trolls paid by Zach to flood this forum or just plain unaware of how badly they have been taken advantage of. I would not let these people plumb a doghouse!
