As a general contractor serving Dallas/Fort Worth since 2011, I have chosen to work solely with Apex directly. I've learned to not rely, although highly qualified, my master plumber as his job is to install the fixtures and run/extend/correct supply lines and drains. I have come to totally trust my saleswoman, Suzanne Chance! I have either accompanied or sent my clients directly to work with Suzanne. On a full master remodel in Frisco, my recently widowed client need to make major changes. Suzanne had her climb into and 'feel' the comfort of a soaker tub. We determined the client did not want traditional nor contemporary, but specifically preferred a "Transitional" design for which Suzanne was able to guide my client through the process.

If you haven't shopped for fixtures, you will find it's like a candy store... you want to have each and one of every thing which can be overwhelming to decide which to buy; this is where my company comes into play in working with our clients and our vendors/suppliers to make the determination and narrow down the choices. No one has time to look for pricing of 10-20 different items. Have an idea of what you want, limiting to 2-3, if you value your time.

What has been more valuable is learning the difference from items bought on Amazon, Ebay and even the big box... they are very cheap with plastic parts and that will not backup with any warranty outside of a short amount of days. This is what my saleswoman taught me and I share this knowledge with my clients.

The young woman in Frisco's remodel? She LOVES her Kohler soaker tub and the matching fixtures for the tub, shower and double sinks. Everything looked like it was meant to be and the plumber was able to install all fixtures with ease as we had everything needed, the first time. It turned out beautiful and the homeowner was overwhelming pleased.

The best part for our company was the efficiency in getting the materials. Although not everything came in at the same time, Suzanne Chance communicated what was ready for pickup and the status of pending items. She took the time to write on the invoice which listed all components, making a sketch of each product on the line which helped in understanding what goes with what. She labeled each box for better clarification and the plumber was able to install all fixtures with ease as we had everything needed, the first time.

We bought items from Apex almost a year ago for a bathroom remodel and paid the invoices we were given in full.

We had to order our shower kit again because our contractor scratched the original one. We placed the new order and paid in full.

A couple days later, we noticed another charge on our credit card from Apex and I called and they said their accounting system was really old and it was some shipping charge and a credit was issued.

2 days later another charge popped up for the same amount and I called back. Now, somehow it's an unpaid balance from the first purchase almost a year ago? They will not tell me what this was for and we paid everything in full both times we ordered.

They did not notify us of the charge and charged it to our credit card without our consent! No one will provide any info about this extra charge. I emailed their accounting person and she will not respond.

If you're looking to get ripped off or want unexpected, unauthorized charges on your credit card, shop here!

I'm a contractor here in town and have been buying plumbing supplies and fittings from Apex for years. I think that it would be beneficial for all parties that are involved in the building industry right now (customers especially)- there are shortages everywhere... About the only shortages the normal person ever hears about on the news is the problem with the chips.
That doesn't begin to tell the whole story. Part of the issue with the supply chain is for the last decade or two, retailers and manufacturers have been using JIT (Just in Time) inventory systems- The easiest way to explain this system is "nobody carries anything until it's paid for".
The pandemic exposed the severe weakness in this system and we are continuing to suffer the aftermath....
Many industries have got months and months and months of items on "back order". It's going to be like that for a while, folks.
Suzanne Lohr Chance (at Apex in the design district)has always provided me very professional service and gone out of her way to make things happen.
Difficult situations always happen w/any business and she does her best to resolve quickly & politely.
Thank you Suzanne!

My tub came in the wrong color. I had to wait a month for the replacement. They forgot to order my hand held shower sprayer, and it is back ordered until November according to cross water. I am scrambling because my shower is unusable until I can find a comparable matte black sprayer.

I walked into the show room looking for help finding a replacement part for my kitchen faucet sprayer. Through many internet searches I discovered the manufacturer had gone out of business years ago and that a replacement part was no longer available anywhere. I wanted to avoid purchasing a whole new system. I even brought in my old sprayer hoping Apex could help. I was Directed to Teresa Browning. She looked at my old sprayer and knew exactly what I was asking. Unfortunately she didn't think the part I needed was being made any longer. She made a few calls to confirm that was the case. However, Teresa said she saw the sprayer part that I needed several weeks ago in the back room of another Apex location near by. She took down my contact information and said she would call me if she was able to locate the part that I needed. Teresa was very friendly, and so willing to go the extra mile to help me out...and mind you I was not a previous APEX customer. I thanked her and left the store. Within an hour Teresa called to inform me that she WAS SUCCESSFUL in locating the part that I needed. Teresa Browning has been in the plumbing supply business for over 25 years. She is knowledgeable in all manufacturers and plumbing parts, even parts 15 years old like mine. I'm still blown away that she took the extra time to locate my part. In the future, I will be calling her regarding all my plumbing supply needs and questions. Great customer service!

Our plumber chose this company to purchase our water heater from. The invoice we received from them had no prices listed for each individual item nor did it list a total cost. When I called them I was told it's up to the plumber to list the prices - really?!?!? It would seem to me that APEX would be the ones to know costs. What this tells me is that APEX supports dishonesty of the contractors that come to them, allow them mark up the prices.
And I spoke with Russ, who was defensive from the start of conversation. All I was asking him for was a detailed invoice.
Stay away from these guys.

We are currently remodeling one of our properties that we recently bought in Turtle Creek. Wife and I were looking for something unique for our master bath. Upon entering this premise, we noticed one of the showroom consultants fixated on her computer. No hello, wave, or even a smile (Strike One). Mind you, place was not busy at all. At any rate, one of the consultants finally greeted us. To cut to the chase - my wife was interested in one particular bathtub so she asked for the measurement. Suzanne responded by saying the particular tub wouldn't work and to quote her exact words, "and that is a $9,000 tub. Really, Suzanne Chance? We were interested in learning about features and benefits and you made a point to point out the price tag? For example, say one sophisticated consumer was asking about Calacatta marble why it has amazing streaks of gold running through, it would be best to share something along the lines -- While this material lack the grout lines of tile, they are beautiful, timeless, and easy to take care of. NEVER about cost and worst assumption yet, could they afford it? Sure you'll claim that wasn't the intent -- but your eyes, shoulders, knees, toes and whatever that was that came out of your mouth surely convinced us to walk out. No words to describe the experience. I expected so much more from a local company like Apex. Perhaps, this consultant is just having the worst day of her life or something -- So rude, cold, and empty.

0 stars. Come here if you want to get yelled at by a salesperson named Suzanne.

After barely acknowledging our existence, we informed her which pieces we were interested in. Her "help" was unenthusiastically pointing at several items. She then proceeded to move on to another customer who had an appointment. So we waited patiently for her to come back around. Then, she went to print a quote for the items we selected. As she did so, she condescended the other choices we had already made not at Apex. "You're going to need to spend more money on a tub than that." is not helpful or necessary just because we chose to not look at tubs there.

As we walked away to leave, she muttered "waste of my time". We walked back to ask her what she just said, and then she proceeded to yell at us about how we came in just to get quotes and buy elsewhere and how we wasted her time. Which, I'm not sure how that's possible given she spent so little time helping us.

After she finished yelling, I called her out on how inappropriate her behavior was and how we will now not be giving APEX our business. She said "sorry" but her apology was obvious that she was sorry she got caught, not sorry for her actions. In addition, her "sorry" was followed by repeated justifications for her behavior. We were yelled at for her poor interactions with other customers, unrelated to us.

We had fully intended to look over our choices and come back to purchase from them, because they had an item we had been unable to find elsewhere. Obviously, we no longer intend to shop here. I would never recommend anyone come here even to look. You are better off going down the street to Ferguson's where the showroom is infinitely better and bigger, and the customer service is phenomenal. This is where we will be spending our money.

This was completely out of line and unprofessional. I don't understand how a salesperson thinks it is appropriate to condescend a customer and then yell at them to justify such poor behavior. Based on other reviews regarding Suzanne, this is a recurring behavior for her. Management, I strongly suggest you correct Suzanne's behavior and interactions with customers because you have already lost one customer and will continue to lose more at this rate.

I built my own house for the second time in my life. Of course, it is a headache. The easiest part of the entire process was picking my plumbing thanks to Suzanne. She walked me through every piece of plumbing and truly held my hand throughout the build. I'm so thankful for her help. She's a true pro! We even had issues due to Covid and she helped me rush parts and hit every deadline. I highly recommend APEX. Make sure to ask for Suzanne.

I just can't recommend this place enough. I stumbled in here a year ago via a friend recommendation and never got around to reviewing but their recent service has reminded me of the importance to do so. Whether I buy something or not, these guys are always helpful. In particular Jeff is always at the counter and is ready to step in even if one of the others are doing so... just to make sure I'm good. I'm a novice but he treats me like a professional taking the time to explain things. If you're on the hunt for plumbing supplies or plumbing knowledge- Jeff and Apex are a must see.
