Marco came and installed a new kitchen faucet, changed our bathroom sink drains, and fixed our tub drain. He was really patient and explained some options (one drain was broken and we discussed replacing one or both), and also helped us get creative and troubleshoot the tub drain issue when Home Depot didn't have the part we needed, because we really wanted it resolved that day instead of waiting for a part. This was our second time having Marco help us and our 5th or 6th time using Apex and they're always really great to work with and reliable in their advice and work. Thanks!

I had poor customer experience recently that left both sides disappointed. I called Apex Plumbing to help me find the cause of a recurring odor in my guest bathroom which I suspected was due to sewer gas. Their service pro Brandon showed up and let me know that he would run a diagnostic test at a cost of $195. This fee would be put towards the final bill if he did a repair, and so I said yes. After about 20 minutes of using a ""sewer gas detector"" (a simple handheld tool he waved around to see if it beeps) he told me there was no gas. I asked him about the possible sources of the smell based on what I had found online and he got offended and told me he knows what he is doing. Yes, that is why I'm asking! Then he told me that he didn't smell anything and implied that I was imagining the problem. His final advice was to clean the bathroom, which I had done thoroughly several times leading up to the call for help. Without giving me any real way forward, he wrote up the bill for $195. When I asked if he could work with me on the charge or apply it to a future job he said he could not.

I've been working with Chuck and his team at Apex since 2019 and they are the most knowledgeable, competent, professional, reliable and fair plumbers I have ever hired. I first hired Chuck when I was president of a condominium association with a complicated sewer issue that I asked him to assess. Several other well known plumbing companies had previously either been unable to properly address the issue or proposed astronomically costly and destructive solutions. Chuck was immediately familiar with the type of situation and proposed a very reasonable long term solution. From that point forward, Apex became our association's plumbers for everything from main water line maintenance, connected plumbing, as well as work in individual units. When my family moved to a single family home last year, Chuck himself came to the home inspection to make sure the plumbing on the 100 year old home was in proper order. Over the last year, the Apex team has been out a couple of times for routine things like clogged drains and maintenance. But, no matter how big or small the job is, they are just as responsive and thorough. And, as if all of those qualifications aren't enough, the entire team is just a group of really nice people! As long as I own a home in Chicago, Apex will be my plumber of choice!

Apex came out to assess a water installation to my refrigerator within a second floor gritstone building. They were transparent on the cost and provided a detailed explanation of work required given complexities to complete.

I decided not to move forward given the cost and logistics of impacting my neighbor's unit but I will definitely reach out to Apex for our future needs given the professionalism and upfront transparency!

Highly recommend! I needed my cold water valve replaced to get a new washing machineb working. Called Apex and they arrived on site within 2 hours.

Brandon was great! He was friendly and highly professional. He gave me an initial estimate and the total costs turned out to be spot on. If all other plumbers at Apex are as cordial & competent as Brandon then its no wonder Apex is doing so well. As far as pricing is concerned, we're not shocked by the cost of our repairs and even the preventative instals were warranted and not an ""upscale"". We completely trust Marco's further recommendations we'll tackle at a future time. He's for sure our guy going forward. He also had amazing restaurant recommendations that we've already tried some of and I'll be reviewing them next!
