Terrible Terrible Terrible. Shameer never shows up to finish the job. Keeps saying that he's sick or hurt. I paid him cash as well. Never got a receipt. He still owes me money for over payment to finish the job. Big Scammers.

A faucet in our old home sprung a serious leak so, after Apex did a great job for us in February 2022, we called them up again. Shameer of Apex again came out and promptly and professionally fixed the faucet in question. To be safe, we had him replace all the old faucets in the house to prevent this kind of ongoing problem. As always, Shameer was professional, quick with his work, and it was all done in a first-rate manner. New faucets, solid stainless steel tubing leading to the faucets, and a great explanation from Shameer on how we can extend faucet life to avoid leaks in the future. We are entirely grateful and highly recommend Apex. Thanks!!

Excellent service! Our hot water heater broke, and we had to turn off the water to our house to prevent any leaks. Apex was assigned to us by Old Republic Home Protection (a home warranty our real estate agent bought for us). They responded to my phone call right away, and were able to come diagnose our failed water heater and replace it the same day. Very friendly, excellent communication and fast. We would use them again for our plumbing needs!

11/11/17 I wanted to wait to see how well the heater worked over a longer period. It has worked flawlessly. Kumar from Apex Plumbing did a marvelous job. It was November and getting cold at night. They used a heater they had in stock so as to save time. It was an upgrade but he charged very little more. He installed a better thermostat as well. Thank you, Kumar.

I read earlier reviews, which are at odds with what I heard from a trusted neighbor who, by dint of being a Realtor (weird term, when I think of it), had only had the best experience with Apex.
I agree with my neighbor. Perhaps earlier reviews were based on a single experience as the family company was getting started; I certainly don't doubt their experience. Indeed, some negative reviews might well have helped Apex pull some stuff together. Dunno.

But here is my experience: When I called the office, my call was promptly and courteously received. I was told I would get a call back from one of the field techs within 5 minutes; it was 3 minutes.
Shameer (the tech) arrived 30 minutes into the 2-hour window he gave me. I think he was great; he gave some excellent ideas about plumbing/solar projects we have in mind, and the pricing was simply awesome (I reluctantly write this lest he raise rates).
Apex is now my first go-to place for plumbing, and I will definitely try them for electric.

Like several others here, Apex was assigned to us by Old Republic Home Protection (ORHP), and after reading these reviews we were quite worried. However, our experience with them so far was very positive.

Our furnace broke down, and two days after our call to ORHP, Kumar from Apex showed in our house and concluded that our old furnace (~30 years) needs to be replaced. He was polite, knowledgable and answered all my questions in a clear and friendly manner. It then took about two weeks more for Apex to finally receive the furnace from ORHP (ORHP provided several conflicting explanations for this outrageous delay) but when the furnace finally arrived at Apex shop on Friday, Kumar was back at our house on Sunday to get our new furnace installed. Notably, throughout our wait time, Kumar kept in touch with us and kept us informed on his interactions with ORHP.

On Sunday, Kumar and his partner, Samir, worked non-stop for several hours to install the new furnace. They did a clean and through job while explaining to me what they were doing all throughout the process, and got the new furnace working properly. It was nothing at all like all the horror stories below. They simply did their job, and did it well.

Presently, Apex is still left with two last elements of the job: The CA-required ducts testing and final inspection so I will post again to report how the final inspection went through. However, so far we are simply happy with their service!

What a great experience! Fumar, the Apex service provider, showed up on time, was prepared, was professional, and finally: was a nice person. He took his time to evaluate my whole house heater, solved the problem, and was completed the task in a timely manner. He was very informed and knowledgeable. Great Job sir! Thanks. I would recommend this service to my family and friends.

My home warranty company, Old Republic Home Protection (ORHP), assigned Apex to me on Thursday, but they could not get to me until Monday. I called several other companies, none of who would be able to come out any sooner. So, I went with Apex, not even having looked at the reviews at that time (all reviews are over a year old).

Kumar spent over 30 minutes on the phone with ORHP to get the approval for replacing my furnace. I was happy with the professionalism of Kumar. He told me to feel free to get other estimates, and even recommended Chris Wilson plumbing, one of the companies that already come out to give me the estimate.

Apex did tell me that I would have to tear the roof open to remove the old furnace in the attic and that the electrical would need to be upgraded. They recommended abandoning the furnace in the attic and building a new platform for the new furnace.

I was initially very happy with the interaction I had with Apex, however, after calling them 3 times to schedule the furnace replacement and ORHP even left messages that the furnace was at the supplier ready to be picked up, I did not get a return call.

I ended up going signing a contract with R & S Heating And Sheet Metal, who will remove the old furnace and said there is sufficient electrical in the attic for the new more efficient furnace. The work has not yet been completed, but they have great yelp reviews.

Do not let these folks into your house. I'm not kidding. I was steered to this company by my home warranty company. I took a day off work (8 hours PTO) for the initial inspection of my furnace. Got a call the day Apex was supposed to be there saying that Sameer hurt his leg, but he could come the next evening after I got off work. (Funny Sameer had no limp whatsoever the next day). Was told by Sameer that my furnace was old and dangerous. Needed a new one and I should hear from them in a week or so to schedule installation. 2 weeks go by ... I call my home warranty company, who said that Apex had not even submitted a work order. Was told that the ball was now rolling and should have my furnace in another week. After 2 weeks, my home warranty company called to inquire how my new furnace was working. What new furnace?!! Apparently Apex told my home warranty company that they had installed it (can you say FRAUD?). Got a call same afternoon from Apex saying they would install 2 days later on Friday afternoon. Took off work 2 hours early to meet Sameer for installation, and he was 1.5 hours late (!!!!). Finished installation that day though ... in the dark. A week goes by, and I open utility closet door on the balcony where the furnace lives, and eau de natural gas wafts up to my nose. Called home warranty company back, who put me back in touch with Apex. Was told by Apex that Sameer would return today at 4 to fix the leak. At 4:30 ... no Sameer. Told lady who answers the phone for Apex that Sameer and Apex should not return. I don't trust them. They are shifty, shady, and incompetent. I am working with my home warranty company to get this issue resolved. If your home warranty company tries to pan Apex off on you and your home repair needs, say no. For the love of Pete. Say no.

No stars if possible. They are a scam plumbing company contracted with Fidelity Home Warranty. Negotiate with Fidelity to use another plumber. Caution! Contact me for more details.
