I started my company to have extra time with my kids and to have the ability to bring them to and from school.
I've always operated side businesses while having full time positions for others. Previously, I managed 2 full-time positions and a weekend role on weekends and I also ran a modest landscaping service that developed to the point that I dedicated myself to it full-time. After that, I relocated to Slidell and closed the grass cutting operation. I tried vending machines, but it wasn't successful. I also ventured into car sales, but that failed. I did in truck driving for a few years up until my son was born, but I found it difficult to being away so frequently. Then, I marketed shrimp in northwest Arkansas every other weekend throughout one shrimp season and did pretty well until the next season at which point there appeared several other suppliers up there and I learned I was going to have a daughter. Thus, I founded Anything Assembled. Then, people started inquiring if I was able to handle additional work and in 2 years, I rebranded the name to Anything Fixed or Assembled.
