I started my venture to have more time with my children and to be able to take them to and from their school.
I have long run side gigs even working full time jobs for others. Previously, I juggled two regular roles and a secondary job on weekends and I also ran a small grass cutting operation that developed to the point that I dedicated myself to it entirely. Then, I transferred to Slidell and closed the grass cutting operation. I tried vending machines, but it didn't work out. Additionally, I tried car sales, but that didn't work out. I did as a truck driver for a few years before my son was born, but I couldn't handle being absent so often. Then, I distributed shrimp in the northwest region of Arkansas every other weekend during one shrimp season and did pretty well until the next season when there appeared half a dozen other sellers up there and I found out I was going to have a daughter. That’s when, I launched Anything Assembled. After that, people continued asking if I knew to do other tasks and within 2 years, I rebranded the name to Anything Fixed or Assembled.
