I had a few small jobs I needed completed around the house, and spent a long time looking for a handyman that would come to Evanston. I tried calling the Fix It Company, as they were recommended by my management company, but they never returned my calls or scheduled the service.

Enter Patrick. He returned my email promptly and was so helpful and polite! I contacted him on Monday, and we scheduled an appointment for that Sunday. He showed up on time, worked efficiently, and was a very nice, friendly guy. Normally I don't like to have men in the condo when I'm alone, but I would feel comfortable having Patrick come back to fix something else, even if I was home alone. His rates are also very reasonable.

It's been a few weeks, and everything Patrick fixed is working perfectly. Highly recommend! Will definitely use him in the future, and will be recommending him to everyone I know who needs a handyman. You will not regret hiring him!

Well, I have to be upfront and say that I never used his service, but after an initial call telling him what I needed done- he told me to text message him a photo of the repair. He said though that he could do the job but just wanted to see what type of radiators they were. I needed radiators disconnected and capped (not moved), so that the sandblaster could come out and remove them to their shop (they wouldn't disconnect). I sent pictures and believe I was pretty clear about what I needed done. I actually am pretty handy but at the time I was waiting to find out if I was pregnant (no stooping or lifting). I also am without anyone else to call. So, after texting and then receiving a text message asking again what I needed done- I never got a return call or text. So, if you can't do something or if the job is too small, you should say so- I was on a time schedule and had to have things firmly arranged. Luckily I kept calling around and finally got someone who agreed to come out (now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed they show up).


Well at least the owner had contacted me back after my review and apologized. That's more than most would do. Humility is important and Id consider using them.

After a bad experience with another handyman who disappeared for 3 hours when he went to buy a new pole for a closet, I read the Yelp reviews and hired Patrick. He came on time, worked quickly and professionally, even when we ran into the inevitable complications of dealing with an older building. He was friendly, knowledgeable, honest, and fast. I highly recommend him. About to call him again right now.

We had a few projects around the house that varied from light carpentry to replacing light and bathroom fixtures. Patrick's quote for the number of hours was spot on, and the work was very professional. He even took the time to make suggestions on what I would need to do for a few light projects that I plan on tackling on my own.

GRADE:F. What a disappointment, especially since they are highly rated. I should have had some inclination when I did not get a fast response to my initial request. I had to have a new kitchen faucet installed, I set it up with Patrick for a Saturday morning. After a few minutes of inspecting under the sink he says 'we have a problem"" then proceeded to tell me that the fixtures were old, the type I have no one uses any more, etc. He continued to work but sounded more frustrated as the time ticked by. Then he said I had another problem because he was not able to completely shut off the water. I have had work done before and no one ever had brought that up, including my building engineer. To make a long story short after 90 minutes with no progress Patrick said he would not be able to do it unless the water was shut off. So he left and I still had a broken faucet, no hot water in the kitchen and a new faucet still sitting on the counter. Oh and I was $75.00 poorer. I would NEVER consider this outfit again. If you want reliable work call Rocket Plumbing. They came and within a couple of hours I had my new faucet installed. It was a bit tricky and took longer because I live in an older buidling, but I was impressed with the professionalism shown by Rocket Plumbing. They didn't quit when the work got difficult.
With all his years of experience hasn't Patrick worked in old buildings before? It doesn't matter that the pipes were old, he still should have been able to do the job.

Patrick is wonderful! Responded to my email about a leaky toilet right away and did a great job getting everything fixed up quickly and for a fair price. Super nice guy and would not hesitate to call again. Highly recommended!

I had just had granite countertops installed and was looking for someone to install the faucet and connect the rest of the plumbing to the dishwaster, etc. Patrick was able to come out and do the job quickly, even installing a new garbage disposal at the same time. In addition to doing great work for a reasonable price, Patrick is the nicest guy ever. What more could you ask for?

Thanks Patrick! I was looking for someone to do small things and am always worried they are too small l for someone to actually come out. I had 4 blinds installed and two dimmer switches. I'm SO grateful. I'm sure Patrick does larger jobs, but it's really hard to find someone to help you with the small stuff. Thanks Patrick! I recommend you to anyone looking to do a remodel to the things you or your husband just can't tackle on your own.

I was looking for a local, independent handyman and was delighted to find Patrick and all of his stellar reviews on Yelp!

He has been to our home on several occasions ranging from replacing our garbage disposal to changing several different faucets and installing some tricky new light fixtures, we have been over the moon with his work after every visit!

He's a delight as a person to have in your home, very personable and pleasant. I schedule all work pertaining to the home and I've gotten the impression from other handymen in the past hat they would rather be dealing with the man of the house, not so with Patrick.

He is our go to guy for anything we need done and I've recommended him to several friends and clients and will continue to do so.

I had made a mess of my toilet by trying to do a ""simple"" installation of a diaper sprayer on my own. Once I had reached the point of no return I realized I was in trouble and had to call a plumber. I called Patrick after finding him on Yelp and he was wonderful. Luckily for me he was stuck on the expressway not far from my home and was able to get there quickly, assess the problem and run for parts. He had me up and working again in less than an hour and was very reasonably priced. I now have a wonderful working piece of equipment and have found a new handyman for any other jams that I get myself into.
