I have used Ira on several projects over the past four years. He has replaced the blue poly piping in my home, has replaced the large deck, has installed several fans, and he has replaced all toilets in the home. I have been impressed with his honesty and with the quality of his work. I think his pricing was very fair. I read the previous review and it does not match my experiences with Ira. It was clear to me that Ira was a """"generalist"""" as opposed to a """"specialist"""". My experience was that he told me that some of my projects were beyond his ability to perform. I do not doubt that Ira, or any home professional, can make an error or blunder a task. I do not think the previous reviewer posted anything malicious, but my experiences with Ira were very different from hers. I recommend him highly.

Long but please read! In 2017, used Ira to put in some burglar bars and windows, also kitchen tile and back splash. Spectacular work; very neatly done! Here is the problem. I asked him to resurface some kitchen cabinets and instead of taking them off and sanding and spraying outside; I got home from work (my mom was at home)and he sprayed spray paint all over the kitchen walls, dishes, pots and pans. Took me days to wash everything. I did ask him if he needed me to remove everything from the cabinets and he had said no. I complained, complained very nicely, about it and he just cut me off, no return phone calls or text. Bad thing for me was that I had also paid him $60 to patch a small part of roof that was leaking after a storm lifted some shingles and $2500 to replace some poly pipes. Well, what do you know, the roof started to leak again two months later, after some heavy rain. Thanks to the almighty, I called Dr. Roof for an estimate to replace the roof and the guy told me that he saw a spot there and he thought that he fixed it but wasn't sure so he wouldn't charge me. It never leaked again!!!! Two years later, the two thirds poly pipes that he replaced (because he will not bust walls to get behind showers and toilets) busted out (was not done right) and flooded my condo and my neighbors condo while I was at store. I had to pay $1000 for water restoration and $1000 to replace my neighbors carpet plus now $4500 to do it the right way with a reputable company. So you see, out of $4500. Lesson learned!!! So learn from me. Ira comes off very nice but he is taking short cuts. For example, he wanted to replace my roof for $3500 BUT just add a new later over the old shingles. Luckily, I didn't let him do that. So if you use him don't let him touch your roof, your plumbing or electrical... the major things. And be prepared that if something does wrong and you complain, he will just cut you off. Not very professional! From now on, only reputable companies for me. The cheapest will become the dearest!!!
