Like the previous reviewer said, don't be deterred by the 3rd party answering service. After calling, we got a call back a few hours later. We were given a 2 hour time window for arrival on the scheduled day, and John arrived on time in that window. He was so friendly and polite, wiped his feet before entering the house each time (he had to go outside for a few things, and to his van for a few things). He didn't charge for a simple washer replacement on the outdoor spiggot and was able to quickly fix our problem in our bathtub. I am definitely keeping his business card if we ever need him again! So glad I called.

Being a die-hard DIYer, it pained me to have to finally throw in the towel and admit that I needed to call in a professional, as my kitchen sink had officially won the clog battle. This was my first time ever calling in a contractor, and I'm extremely happy that I was able to find a great one on my first attempt. I called Andy's to make an appointment, which was taken by what was clearly a 3rd party answering service (don't let this deter you!). I gave them my information, and within an hour I received a call back from one of Andy's plumbers, John. We scheduled a two hour window on the following day for when he would arrive, and he actually showed up 5 minutes early...what a rare, welcome pleasure. John was super-friendly, informative, and quick...he busted that clog in about a 1/2 hour. He cleaned up afterwards, and even gave me some free advice on another plumbing issue I had questions about. So, needless to say, I was more than happy with my first contractor experience - I've found a local plumber I can trust, and that I would happily use again.

i have experience with heaters & plumbers, as i do some my self i was in a bind to get the heater fixed and he got the service done but for a 30 minute job he charge me $400.00 it included the part which retails for 50 dollars. If your looking to get ripped off call these guys.

This is the first review I have ever written, but after the service I have just received from Andy and his team, I feel compelled to do so. On New Year's eve, I lost heat on the second floor of my house (I have 2 zone heating), and in the morning, I called Andy's answering service. I received a call back quickly from Andy, and over the phone, he immediately diagnosed the problem, requiring not to replace my entire heat pump ($$) but only to replace the coupler inside the pump. He didn't have the part available that day (New Year's Day), so first thing the following day his colleague came out to do the repair. In 10 minutes, I had heat again upstairs. Ironically, later the same day I was having a new alarm installed, and the alarm technician cut the power line from my thermostat to my other heat pump for the ground floor (I am seriously not making this up!). I lost heat on my main floor that night. I called Andy the following day (Friday) after our first major snow of the new year, and without hesitating he fit me in to his day, went out of his way to purchase the right equipment to do the repair, and by the end of the afternoon I got the heat back on. I am impressed with Andy's depth of knowledge, honesty, professionalism and caring. I could have been left without heat on the main floor of my home for the whole weekend when temperatures are currently brutally cold. I highly recommend Andy's Plumbing & Heating.

I have used Andy's several times. Andy is totally professional and more importantly, HONEST. I was having some issues in the basement and thought I might need a new soil pipe. He took one look and told me it was fine. He even fixed my shower faucet for FREE after the general contractor's guy botched the install. Prices are reasonable and they are quick to respond. What more could you ask for?

Andy's plumbing is great! I hadwater backing up into my basement and they came out the next day. They quickly identified the problem and fixed it. They also gave me an idea of pricing for a couple future projects. Their prices were more than reasonable and i didnt feel they were trying to take advantage of me.

I also appreciate they didnt talk down to me or assume that i couldnt understand what they were explaining. However the best thing is that they were very professional and very respectful towards the house as they were working. Unfortunately i have had experiences with plumbers making a mess and even scratching things as they worked showing no respect that this is where i live. Andy's was neat and clean and since it was very cold out, they made sure to keep the doors shut when going in and out.

I have many plans to use them in the future.

My nephew installed a new bathroom vanity for me but ran into a problem he couldn't fix. I called Andy's Plumbing based on the reviews here. John from Andy's called me back in 20 minutes and came right over. He made the one emergency repair I called about and addressed several minor nagging plumbing issues in my house. John couldn't have been nicer, the work was done quickly, neatly, and well, and the price was extremely fair. I finally have a plumber in Roxborough!
