Recommended Customer Reviews
We just moved into our new house during the last week. We quickly determined we needed a plumber and we called this plumber. I was impressed with the quick response and Andy Wotton the owner came out himself. We had 3 separate problems
a) the toilet in the finished basement kept overflowing
b) the shower head in my daughter's bathroom was not working and
c) the tub would not hold or drain water ( the little lever you push up or push down to add water/drain water would not budge.
Andy gave my daughter and I that it would cost $ 300 to fix the tub. He did NOT specify what he was going to do - but when he said $ 300 I told him to go ahead and put the new lever in.
The bill was $ 475.00 which was way over what I was expecting. The $300 for ""fixing the lever in the tub"" was what he charged to spray WD-40 into the lever. He could have told me to go buy a can of WD-40 and spray it myself.
They did not fix my daughter's shower head - there were pin pricks in the hose between the shower head and the wall - they told us to go buy a new hose.
With due respect - they did auger my grandson's toilet
I called the owner the next day to discuss the bill - He said the $ 300 was for the WD-40, and the rest was for looking at her shower head and augering the toilet.
I don't even know if he applied the $ 25.00 coupon.
If you want to use this plumber - please do what I didn't - I didn't ask for a broken down written estimate. If I had seen $ 300 for WD-40 - I would NEVER have used them and would probably have laughed out loud. Then, Andy justified the charges by telling me he had to pay insurance, pay his employees, etc.
Think carefully!
Thank you,
Bobbi R
Our water heater died after 18 years (unheard of I know) we called this company and they came out same day and replaced the water heater and hauled away the old one without any issues. I highly recommend this company for all of your plumbing needs. The Plumbers Anthony and Simon (I believe that was his name) were professional and extremely nice!
Ilya N.Stay away. You have been warned. Not only their prices are like a robbery in broad daylight, but they cheated me out of my hard earned money. I hired them for the removal of two bathtub's valve's trims, overflows, and spouts in preparation for the bathtubs being reglazed. The second appointment was in two days to install all trims back after reglazing. I paid $500 ($250 for the fixtures removal and $250 for installing them back) for these two services. For removal the service guy was there maybe for 30 min. and the next service (installation) took him maybe an hour. The owner promised that he was not going to charge me $100 trip fee for the second visit, yet both visits have been charged the same amount. When I questioned that I did not get any clear answer.
Also, the guy they sent was a very nice fellow, but he was not very competent in what he was doing. While installing the second bathtub valve's trim with caulk on it he had to remove it half way and try again. The caulk was smeared all over that area on the newly reglazed bathtub wall and valve's trim itself.
Another eye opener was that I did not have the right spout (I purchased a new one online) for one of the bathtubs and I asked the technician if he had the right one in his truck. He said that a spout would cost me $200! I purchased one for $13 at Home Depot later.
Maybe they are good for big jobs, but for me it was like let's make some quick buck while sending an inexperienced guy.
Steep estimate. I felt uncomfortable with the whole estimate considering he would not even credit the estimate if I accepted the job. When I booked them for the estimate I was led to believe they would but it turned out it is only if they do the job the same day. This job was bigger. I found another plumber whom I hired which included the estimate and the job for less money than this plumber and credited the estimate as well. This is why one shops for multiple estimates.
Jeff S.Plumber Anthony Perleoni told me to call American Standard toilet company to let them know my toilet, which he installed a year ago and under warranty was leaking. They charge $1000 to install a new toilet. I called American Standard Customer Service and they told me 99% of the time it's a seal and that's what they sent me. Anthony then looked at water that was leaking under kitchen sink pulled out the sprayer from the faucet head and tugged on the spray hose to demonstrate where the leak was coming from. The tug made it leak way worse than it had been which was just a trickle. He then said "" go to Lowes and buy a sprayer with hose"" which they don't sell for this kitchen faucet. He then left me hanging with two known problems. The next morning, I woke up to the sound of my ""Taco Comfort Solutions"" Leak breaker water sensing control system sounding an alarm that my basement floor was wet. See picture below. Luckily it did what it was supposed to do. It shut my main water valve for the entire house
Anthony showed up this morning almost a week since he left me hanging and immediately started arguing with me. He said I was a liar and blamed me for only being able to get a seal for the leaking American Standard Toilet which was under warranty. Saying he had told me ""to get the whole flapper apparatus"" which he never told me to do and it wouldn't have helped anyhow since American Standard customer service reps will always send the seal first under company policy since 99% of the time that usually the problem especially with a 1 year old toilet. He also confided with me that Lowes doesn't sell the sprayer for my particular faucet and that he would have to install a new one, which is what I would have wanted him to do on his prior call, but instead he led me on to a wild goose chase to find a sprayer that doesn't even exist at Lowes
So instead of being professionally Anthony immediately raises his voice and starts accusing me of being a liar!! He got all defensive and walked out of my house, packed up his truck and left me hanging again like a spoiled little baby! This was my second time I've dealt with extreme lack of professionalism with Andy Wotton/William Perleoni Plumbing Service. The first time was directly caused by Andy Wotton. I gave them another chance only to find out the hard way that co-owner Anthony Perleoni is just as bad!
I would never recommend them to anyone who has any type of plumbing issue. They clearly are not concerned with solving problems and rather than fixing them promptly they instead over charge and disappear and leave people with more problems than they had prior to them making a simple service call. When they get cornered with a situation like I've described they get very defensive a change the truth into a narrative and argue with the home owner and when he proves them wrong rather than swallowing their pride they pack up their truck and retreat like a very unprofessional person would do without fixing the problems that they have actually caused without apology or concern for the homeowner.
Immediately after Anthony left me hanging, I called Harp Home Service and they deployed a competent plumber to my house who came in less than an hour and is working on solutions to both problems right now!
The most incompetent and unprofessional company I have ever worked with. The owner was disrespectful and rude to my girlfriend and I, charged $1000 that was supposed to go towards future work and basically walked off the job when he couldn't figure out a solution, leaving me with sewage water backing up in my house.
I hired these guys to come out after finding water backing up into my basement. I also asked them to check out the hot water in the shower, which recently had been only getting warm and not truly hot. They came and snaked the main line out of the house but couldn't get it clear, which had been causing the water backup. They worked on the shower and left saying they'd call to set up another appointment for a camera crew to check the blockage, and warned not to use the water in the house unless absolutely needed, including flushing the toilet. I paid $500 toward the shower work, and $500 toward the clogged line, and was told we'd settle up after the backup was solved.
The next day I tested the shower and found the controls for the hot and cold water had been reversed. After a couple long days of miscommunications and no water, they sent someone out to get the hot and cold shower controls working normally, but it still didn't get hot, only warm. It says on their website hot water is supposed to run at 120° F, mine was only hitting 100, 20° lower than what it should be. Still no progress on getting a camera crew out, or solving the blockage - the most important issue, and while I was away the worker told my GF she needed to be more assertive when she talked to him, and some other chauvinist crap.
I called on Saturday morning, hoping to clear the air of any previous miscommunications and get the work back on track. The owner immediately got defensive about not being able to fix the hot water issue, lecturing me about how he's been doing this job longer than I've been alive. He made some weak comparison about me ""remembering"" the hot water was better before, and how his car used to run better before, and everything used to be better before. He told me there was nothing else he could do about it. I said I guess I'd have to get another company to get it solved. He started to get off the phone, I said ""wait a minute, what about the blockage in the mainline?"" He said ""well if you're going to get someone else to work on the shower, then why don't you just get them to solve the blockage?"" Shocked, I said ""oh it's like that, huh?"" He said ""yeah it's like that"". I told him the mainline is still backing up water in my basement, and the hot water is still just warm, everything's the same as before you came, what did I even pay you for? And he said ""that's a billing question, Saturday is for emergency calls only, you're going to have to call back during the week about that,"" and hung up on me. I guess not being able to use the water including the toilet didn't constitute an emergency to them.
Easy to make an appointment, on time arrival. He listened to the problem and investigated it thoroughly but efficiently. Somehow he could make sense of the issues as I rambled away through my mask! Next thing I knew, the problem was solved (a complicated poor water pressure situation) and he didn't even charge me a dime. BUT we do have some projects down the line and we will not hesitate to hire his company. He clearly knows what he is doing and he is professional and honest. My plumbing hunt is over!
Jake W.Andy did a great job. Diagnosed the problem in minutes and fixed it. Would def hire again.
Jeff S.Professional, fast, and reasonable...needed leaking pipe fixed immediately. They scheduled me in and ended up being $400 cheaper than quote from competitors. Definitely recommend and would use again .
Sarah S.Great service! My bathtub drain was backing up, and Andy Wotton Plumbing was here within 24 hours of calling to make an appointment. Friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The plumbers walked me through each step to let me know what they were going to do before they did it--fantastic! Highly recommend, and I'll be calling for any future plumbing or heating needs!
