Easy to make an appointment, on time arrival. He listened to the problem and investigated it thoroughly but efficiently. Somehow he could make sense of the issues as I rambled away through my mask! Next thing I knew, the problem was solved (a complicated poor water pressure situation) and he didn't even charge me a dime. BUT we do have some projects down the line and we will not hesitate to hire his company. He clearly knows what he is doing and he is professional and honest. My plumbing hunt is over!
Jake W.Andy did a great job. Diagnosed the problem in minutes and fixed it. Would def hire again.
Jeff S.Professional, fast, and reasonable...needed leaking pipe fixed immediately. They scheduled me in and ended up being $400 cheaper than quote from competitors. Definitely recommend and would use again .
Sarah S.Great service! My bathtub drain was backing up, and Andy Wotton Plumbing was here within 24 hours of calling to make an appointment. Friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The plumbers walked me through each step to let me know what they were going to do before they did it--fantastic! Highly recommend, and I'll be calling for any future plumbing or heating needs!
Hank L.I can't say enough positive about Andy Wotton Plumbing. My downstairs toilet began to rock a few weeks ago. Called Andy Wotton and they scheduled for 2 PM the following day. At 1:15 they asked if he could arrive early. Andy came at 1:30, looked at the toilet and then in the basement. He told me it was a pretty simple fix. He went to work and in 5 minutes he was done. Toilet stable with no movement.
I asked what i owe, and his response was ""catch you next time"". No charge. I felt bad he wouldn't accept payment. I will definitely call this honest and skilled plumber again.
Joshua K.Long story short - Great craftsman - Great work - I will use his services if I need them again.
Full story-
I had an old heating zone valve that was leaking from body of the valve and would need replacing. As there were no isolation valves around the zone valve (as a previous plumber should have installed) it was going to be a chore. I called Andy Wotton Plumbing and had a very pleasant conversation about my problem. I set up a time for Andy to come out and give me an estimate on my issue. Andy came out, looked over my system and told me that since there were no isolation valves anywhere, the system would have to be drained and the cost of changing the singe valve would be high. He recommended that we wait until more things failed or we were wanting to do a larger project. We then discussed a future project of getting rid of the zone valves, adding circulators and and headers. Great conversation and a good idea for later. We also talked ballpark costs, so I would know what I was getting into. About a month or so later, the valve started leaking worse and I called to schedule him out. Now it was cold out and I would like to have this done during the day so I wouldn't have to stay in a hotel or get a bunch of heaters. Andy came out to talk over the project again to make sure we were on the same page and be sure he would have everything on hand to complete the project when we got it scheduled. I talked to their scheduling lady (very professional and nice, btw) and made an appointment.
A quick aside about the lady who answers the phone (she does a lot more than just that by the way). I called to schedule and the phone rang until it went to voicemail. I didn't leave a voicemail and figured I would call back in a few hours. Less then an hour later, my phone rang...she called me back from the caller ID and said that she was on the other line and would like to know if there was something they could help out with. Who calls you back without a message and just off the caller ID. I knew I had called a great company.
They arranged for the electrician they would need and had to move the date so everyone could be there on the same day. No problem. Day came, Andy and his guys showed up - very professional - first appearances can set the tone. They got to work and didn't stop until they were done and the system thoroughly tested. The work was top notch. I am a bit picky about the details and could find nothing out of place. Every anchor was tight, no rattles, no leaks, aesthetically pleasing (if you are into copper piping work). I think the work area was cleaner than when they started.
Now, the price was not cheap, but I don't want cheap when it comes to my heating system. I want good quality and complete peace of mind. What I got was outstanding quality, peace of mind and a go-to plumber.
Good people, good equipment, good help, knowledge and experience come at a cost and you should expect to pay for high end everything. Andy Wotton is a high end plumber.
John G.Nice guy but his quote was very high. But that's the way contractors work..... if they aren't busy and need some work you may get a very competitive quote. If they are busy they still come by and give you a quote but they make it very high so it would be worth it to work overtime or fit you in someway.
Moral of the story....get a minimum of 3 quotes and preferably 4or5. Or you can do what I did and study some YouTube vids and do it yourself saving big bucks!!!!
Pam C.Andy Wotton Plumbing may do a good job in fixing plumbing problems as noted in the other reviews, but I would NEVER recommend them or use them. My husband had a $25 coupon and found them through Yelp. We are selling our house and needed to fix an issue with no hot water in one of our bathrooms. Andy and another person came and quoted my husband $375 for rebuilding the shower valve. Rebuilding the shower valve is not the same thing as removing and replacing the shower valve, which is what was done. Nothing was done to the diverter cartridge - just the stem valve cartridge. This was a misrepresentation. There was no rebuilding. It was simply removing and replacing two parts that one could buy on Amazon for $50. The labor time was 15 minutes. My husband paid $350 with his $25 ""coupon"" and then had misgivings about paying so much and about being misled regarding what was actually done and the time it took. He was also upset when he looked up the price of the parts. I called Andy to tell him we were upset and why. I mentioned that my husband was close to figuring out the problem before he called them and the repair and replace is something he could have done had he just been able to figure out the problem. Andy replied by telling me that my husband couldn't have been close to figuring out the problem because he doesn't even know how to turn off our water. When Andy had asked him to turn off the water, he turned off the valve going to that particular bathroom, but then Andy asked him to turn off the water mane and my husband knew exactly where it was and complied. My husband absolutely knows how to turn off the water - this was another misrepresentation not to mention bad business to start criticizing a customer. Andy then said he would send me a $50 coupon for my next service to ""lessen the pain."" I told him we are moving to a new house with no plumbing problems and will likely not need plumbing services for years, so it doesn't ""lessen the pain."" Also in 9 years if and when I need a plumber, would I be able to find Andy's coupon -- it was basically an empty attempt to somehow make it right. Andy knows we'd never use him again anyway - just like the $25 coupon got us nowhere other than spending way more than another plumber at $350 for 15 minutes labor and a $50 part. I have no doubt the $50 coupon would get added to the price of his service and it will still cost more than it should. We are happy to pay fair value for the services of a plumber, but $350 for 15 minutes is highway robbery, and then to have him insult my husband when I called to discuss it adds insult to injury. I would absolutely recommend getting prices from other plumbers before you go to Andy, and then using the one who charges less which will NOT be Andy. Maybe a good plumber but bad business person, overpriced, rude, and insults customers. Stay away!
Andy: a less expensive plumber could have completed our simple job with the same quality as you. Yes, you gave the over inflated price before doing the job and my husband was already committed to paying your price to show up that would be applied to the job, so he said yes, but later realized he had been taken advantage of by you. It just didn't pass the smell test because you told him about a rebuilding when it was just a repair and replace, it took 15 minutes to do it, and the part was inexpensive. When we talked, you misrepresented my husband's ability to turn off the water, which he knew how to do, and did, when you clarified to turn off the mane and not just the valve to that bathroom, but then you told me he ""didn't even know how to turn off the water."" You owe me and him an apology for that. It was rude to insult him, it wasn't true, and it's bad business. Please don't bother sending me a $50 coupon for a future service that I won't need. By the way, if I did need a plumbing service, I wouldn't choose a plumber who overcharges, misrepresents what he does, and then insults my husband!
Anita L.If you are looking for a plumber then look now further!! Andy Wotton is an excellent plumber and is reasonably priced. Andy has always gone out of his way to help us in any situation. I never have to wait long for Andy to come out to our house and I absolutely love his office staff. They are very friendly and professional!!
Guida R.Life was already crazy and then my mom's water heater decided to leak all over the bottom floor.
On a recommendation from my mom's neighbor I called Andy Wotton Plumbing around 745am today. They answered right away and once I told them what was going on they were at my mom's house within 30 minutes. Anthony and Matt were the two plumbers sent out and they were beyond excellent!!! They replaced the water heater and were even incredibly sweet and careful because my mom's cat was terrified and hid and I was super worried he may try to escape.
This crew took what could've been a pretty terrible morning and made it ok. I would highly recommend them and if mom needs a plumber again they'll be getting the call!!!!!
