I had Andy Hawkey come out to fix the same bathroom faucet twice, within the past year.

The first time he came out. He said it was a slow leak and no big deal. He tightened it and said it was fixed. Within two weeks of him ""fixing it"" it was still leaking, this time a lot worse. The second time he came out, about 3 months later to fix the same bathroom faucet. He said that the faucet is guaranteed by the manufacturer on the company's website. We had to go to the website and get the part and then he would come back a third time to ""fix"" it.

The company's website says nothing about the bathroom faucet being under guarantee or warranty?! He says his work is guaranteed, but charged me both times for the same thing that still is not fixed to this day!!

I would be very cautious if I were you! I'm definitely taking my business elsewhere.

Through the years Mr. Hawkey has done many many jobs for us. His work is excellent. He and his wife are great to work with for scheduling and such. I would not call anyone else. His knowledge base is extensive. He does his work in a timely fashion and never leaves a mess. I dread the day he tells us he is retiring!

Over the last two/three years I have used Mr. Hawkey three times for general plumbing services in my home. In all cases I have been pleased with the work, price, and results. Being an amateur jack-of-all-trades, and curious about mechanical things, I watched over his shoulder as he worked. I was impressed with his methods and care. I was also impressed with his tolerance of my presence and occasional questions. At the conclusion of his work, he cleaned up very well compared to other contractor I have had in my home.

CAVEAT EMPTOR

On August 22, 2016, Andy Hawkey presented us with an estimate to replace a water heater. When I looked closely at the estimate there were two separate and quite substantial charges for labor. My wife emailed him and very politely asked what the two separate labor charges were. Mr. Hawkey responded: ""I would like to withdraw my bid and request that you do not contact us any further."" So, I advise caveat emptor (buyer beware) to would-be customers. I have no idea of the quality of Mr. Hawkey's work, but it is inexcusable for a contractor to refuse to explain his charges. I've used Andy several times, and he always does perfect work, explains what he's doing so you understand it, and even teaches you how to do simple repairs. His prices are reasonable. I wouldn't consider using anyone else.

Andy and his father in law replaced our water heater two years ago. The job was reasonably priced, work was completed quickly and he fixed a couple oddball plumbing issues around the house. We'd hire Andy Hawkey again and have referred him to several friends!

I've used this one man plumbing company twice now and I've been pleased both times. Nice gentleman and his work has been top notch. I haven't seen the bill yet for the 2nd job he just did today but the first job was done right and the price was fair.
I'd have no problem recommending him to others.
