These shysters charged me $479 to unclog my bathroom sink. It was a simple snake job that took no more than 10 minutes. A month later I get the bill and find out they charged me two hours labor for the plumber and his assistant (who didn't do anything) at $225 per hour. They charged me for the time it took to drive from their office, 22 miles away, and to drive back to their office and came up with two total hours of ""work."" Do not use these crooks!

Sent 2 guys who couldn't unclog a line so they called 2 more guys to help a total of 6 hours. Never got an itemized bill for the 1500. This job had been done in the past by AH for 325.

Beware of Andrew Hall. He charged me $9,216 for the repair of a sewer line. I complained, and he acknowledged that he had overcharged me and lowered the amount, but it was still way too much. He then took me to Small Claims Court because I paid him $500 less than the amount he asked for. Fortunately, the judge dismissed the case, but the experience was not pleasant. Mr. Hall seems to have had similar legal disputes with many other clients over the years. Some thirty cases, according to a search on the NJcourts website.

They charged me for 3 technicians over a total of 3.5 hours for a job that should have taken 2 technicians less than a total of 2 hours. Plus a snaking fee of $250 to clear a pipe: what I would consider standard plumbing equipment that should be included.

I wish I wold have read reviews before calling Andrew E. Hall. Gave them one star because they showed up, but feeling completely ripped off after receiving a bill of over $1,000 to have a new garbage disposal installed. What happened to honest, reliable people??!!

Amazing service and response time. I had an urgent plumbing issue and the plumber that came onsite was extremely thorough and took care of everything very efficiently once the problem was identified. Extremely nice to work with as well from the admin contact to the onsite service help!

Andrew Hall has been an absolute Godsend! We had urgent plumbing work after purchasing a home and needed emergency work when a contractor uncovered additional issues, and Andrew Hall did an amazing job on very short notice. Their rates are fair, and their technicians offered cost-saving alternatives where work could be done in a different - and less expensive - way than our inspector had flagged. Andrew Hall does so many different kids of work from plumbing and septic to HVAC and drywall. They are now our go-to contractor!

After having a very good experience with their plumbing repair services, we reached out to them when we had an issue with the furnace. They spent almost three hours and still didn't fix it. However, they wanted to charge us for all this time and a temporary part. Once they would receive a new part, we would have to pay again for the new part and the time installing it. Once we pushed back for these unfair charges, they decided to reduce the time to be charged for. However, they increase an hourly rate. Not professional at all. Obviously, they are lacking experience in fixing furnaces and are unfair in charging for their services. We will not use them again.

I was very disappointed in this company and will not be calling them again! Like other reviews I have read, the major disappointment was the ridiculous price when I received my bill. They came out to look at our AC unit that was not working. The guy immediately put two pounds of gas in the unit. Only after they put the gas in the unit, did he tell me that this probably won't do anything and we'd have to replace the unit altogether. The gas would just get the AC back up and running for a bit, but the unit was essentially done. He actually told me the unit could stop working as soon as a day later. This was aggravating because i never would have wasted the $80 just to get the AC running for a couple days. If this was the worst of it, I would have just sucked it up and paid. When I asked the guy what payment methods they accept, he said don't worry, they'll send you a bill. A few days later, we received the bill for $80 in useless gas (as we had the unit replaced two days later using a much more reputable company) PLUS $150 in 'labor'. The guys were here for 10 minutes and they had the nerve to jack me for $150 in work that wasn't even going to fix my unit. I will never use this company again, and I urge anyone who is considering it to get a quote ahead of time and ensure that they don't do ANY work until you know how much it will cost you. These guys didn't ask what I wanted to do prior to doing it, they just did the work and only then did they tell me how much it would cost. I assumed they were testing the unit to identify the problem and turns out they were actually doing the work.

I don't want to be completely negative here, so I will also list the few positives. The technician that came to my house was very friendly and seemed to know his stuff. They were also punctual and their availability was great. They were able to come the same day that I called. Looking back, however, this may be a sign that they're not very busy. Perhaps this is due to the ridiculous price they charged me to essentially put a band-aid on my AC unit. It just sucks because I wanted to support a local business and ended up getting screwed and going to a more commercial business who had the whole unit replaced within two days and that included a FREE estimate where the technician met with us for over an hour to go over the issue and our options.

I wish I had read the reviews before calling Andrew Hall & Sons. I had a simple leaky faucet in my kitchen. They came to install a new cartridge which fixed the leak but the handle was left very loose. I asked them about it before they left and they said it was as tight as they could get it and it wouldn't cause a problem. Fast forward less than 2 months later and the water is either staying hot or staying cold no matter how I turn the jiggly handle. I called the office and they said they could send someone out but they wouldn't guarantee that I wouldn't have to pay anything. They did say that I wouldn't have to if it was their error but that I'd have to pay them for coming out if it wasn't related to the cartridge. And I'd still be left with a loose handle. I asked if they could just come out and see if it was related and if it wasnt, if I could just have them leave without being charged and they said no, that I'd still have to pay for them to come out. So they don't stand by their work and I frankly don't trust them to tell me honestly if it was their error. Especially after reading the other reviews. I'm going to find another plumber that I can trust.
