I called on a Saturday for two plumbing repairs, and Anacapa Plumbing was quick to reply and scheduled something the next day. The plumber (Andres / Andrew) arrived a few minutes after the agreed upon time, and was efficient and did a professional job with the repairs. I am happy with the work that he did, but unhappy with the charges. The plumber was here for exactly one hour, but stated that he needed to charge me for 1.5 hours because charges include driving time from their office in downtown Santa Barbara to my house in Santa Barbara. This was never mentioned to me until after the work was done. I expect to pay the plumber for the time they are at my house, not commute time to get here. I hope in the future, Anacapa Plumbing is more forthcoming on the charges when scheduling appointments.

We managed to break off an outdoor spigot while doing some power washing! Water was gushing out of the ground! The only remedy was to shut off the water to the whole house. Anacapa (Efrin the plumber) responded to our call within about 30 minutes. He capped off the water pipe and water was restored to our house within an hour. Very grateful that this company responded to our emergency! These are good people!

Update: I received a response from the owner of the business. I received a refund for the cost of the service. Because the owner of the business did his part to make things right, I am updating my review.

Service is sometimes good and sometimes very bad. Anacapa Plumbing has done a good job on a few things, but lately I think they have gotten worse. They charged over $200 to attempt to unclog a drain (they were not able to fix it). Another time they broke the sewer clean out when clearing the drain line. They had broken the pipe fitting and just hammered the plug in. The plug fell out, and sewage spilled into the crawl space.

DO NOT CALL, DO NOT TRUST WITH PETS. I just kicked Andres off my property during an emergency call I'm the middle of the night. I would rather not have functioning plumbing than to have his level of disrespect and lack of care in my house. He came in our front door to assess the problem and both of my cats were in the living room when he entered, in plain sight. He then let himself out the back door to start working. 5 minutes later I went back to inquire where he was and the back door was wide open. BOTH OF MY CATS WERE GONE. They are indoor cats and for 15 years have never been outside. Both cats were found outside and I told Andres he needed to leave. I'm sure you can imagine the heartache and freakout my household had when all our animals were not inside. I cannot believe that a service person would walk around leaving doors open when there are animals around.

Jimmy was great! He came out, on time, to replace an old, failing electric water heater, which he did quickly and efficiently. After installing the unit, he checked all the faucets to make sure the lines were clear and free of residual sediment, and was also able to fix a barely noticeable, leaky drain line in the garage. He left the job site clean, and gave his personal number, in case there were any questions, or unforeseen problems. I deal with and refer plumbers all the time, and would highly recommend Jimmy and Anacapa Plumbing.

I just want to thank Efrain at Anacapa Plumbing. Efrain came out twice and did a great job. This is the kind of work you don't ever wish for, but he was super diligent and had a great attitude. It was also Friday of a three day weekend and I knew it was bad timing to call a plumber, but here he was! Thank you a million Anacapa Plumbing and Efrain!

Great experience. After 7 years, our extremely expensive top of the line ultra efficient hot water heater began leaking from its stainless? steel core. Jimmy came out to diagnose?, quickly revealed the problem? and set us up with a higher performance tankless water heater? at a fraction of the original's outlandish price. He did a great job installing, quick and clean. However, the new tankless header didn't dial-in correctly? and had to be reset the next morning. Jimmy's colleague?, Ryan came out within a few hours of our call to troubleshoot and eventually took the problem all the way up the helpdesk chain to get a fix. He even offered to take a look at it on a Sunday. We are super happy with the result. Anacapa has a team of friendly?, highly trained, and contentious??s plumbers. No one looks forward to having plumbing issues, but next time we have one, you know who we are calling.

I am consistently delighted with the service we receive from Anacapa Plumbing. Sharin and his staff value excellence and courtesy. They take pride in their work. Efrain helped me today. He is an absolutely lovely man. We are remodeling our home a year from now and will contract Anacapa Plumbing to do all our work. Thank you to everyone on this incredible staff.

I used Anacapa plumbing about two weeks ago for the fourth time in the past three years and they every single time have done me quality service! I am really impressed compared to four or five other companies I've used in the past 10-15 years, they offered appropriate pricing, friendly plumbers, great response time, etc. This last time I got Jimmy and he was very efficient and polite in doing the work needed and then when there appeared after he left a problem that needed attention the owner answered the phone with kindness, sent him back even though it was after 4PM on a Friday after resolved the issue no charge, no animosity etc! Definitely the best I have seen of several! I would be a fool to use anybody else after the service I received!!! Wow

Called at about 7:15 in the morning. Complete damsel in distress phonecall. Owner must have answered he was prompt and polite and said he would call in 45 minutes and he did. Then he told me a rough estimate of when the plumber would arrive. Plumber arrived within 15 minutes of the time he quoted. Plumber was named Efrain. He was excellent and I will call them again. He even told me what not to put down the garbage disposal. Price was only around 110$ not bad at all and I can't complain. Thank you efrain!
