DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE INTO YOUR HOME!!!!!! They were referred to me by my home warranty company (Home Warranty of America) to resolve a clogged toilet issue. Supposed to show up between 2pm and 5pm, showed up around 5:15 pm. One of the techs damaged my hardwood floor and then they blamed it on my floor!!! Saying, you should be able to walk on a floor. They told me my toilet needed to be replaced and they would advise HWA of that. 2 days later they call HWA and tell them that it is a venting issue and the vent is on the roof. HWA advised me it is not covered. I told them that the techs told us it was the toilet which is covered. I even emailed the invoice from Amigos Plumbing that states it is the toilet. They call themselves Amigos Plumbing with the home warranty company) but the truck says A Dos Amigos Plumbing so I am reviewing them as A Dos Amigos Plumbing.

I have left several messages with their company about the damage to my floor, but no one has contacted me. These people are dishonest and unprofessional, they also tracked dirt and mud on my brand new carpet. I would not allow them back in my home for any reason! If your home warranty company wants to send these guys out, ask for another plumbing company. I did not have the time to look them up, but even if I did, I would not have found them under Amigos Plumbing. I would only send them to my worst enemy's home!!!

This company has been dispatched twice to our home through our home warranty. The first time they never called and the home warranty ended up sending out a different company. The second time was even worse. They came out and rushed me through explaining the issue. They obviously did not listen because instead of looking at the pipes inside, they went out back and blamed the septic tank before doing an inspection. Their minds were made up before they even arrived. The guy had the nerve to tell me, "I have been doing this for 40 years so I know it isn't in the house." They refused to look even though they were paid to be at the house. For a little back story, our septic system was cleaned and inspected less than 3 months ago by a very reputable company who has been servicing this home for 15 years. I don't think it's the septic system.
I told the plumber to keep his card, I didn't need it for future calls and he replied, "Every other plumber will tell you the same thing" as he walked out my door. Thanks for being a know it all and a mind reader!

I hope you check these reviews before you let them do your plumbing service. The warranty company sent them to repair my water heater. They sent an apprentice who announced the lower element was faulty, but he could not remove it. The unit, therefore, had to be replaced, and he said they would return to do that. He refilled the tank and left. We left town the next morning, and received a call from a neighbor that water was pouring from our house. Long story short, water was pouring from the element he tried to remove, and our house and belongings had extensive damage. They refused to provide the techs license numbers, and gave a wrong number for the Texas State Board of Plumbing examiners. I did get the correct number and have filed a complaint. Check them out on BBB. I have also complained to my warranty company, but I don't think they care. Home Warranty of America will not get any more of my business. 13 out of 21 reviews on here are very negative.

My hot water heater has stopped working properly so I contacted our home warranty, Old Republic. I was assigned A Dos Amigos Plumbing as a contractor. They did not call as they were supposed to so I contacted OR who then called them with me on the line. The girl told them that she had tried to call yesterday, but couldn't leave a message because our cell service was bad. No explanation as to why not call the house instead was given. This was all a lie. When I called them for myself and asked why she said that, she got all flustered and said she had tried to call and just got a buzz, but when I told her that was a lie, she said that the contractors always have that trouble when they're out. They didn't call me, she said she did. After a few mins of this she just said she'd cancel the appointment which had already been done by me earlier because I don't deal with liars!

The "office" for this company is in San Antonio. I live just off 1826 on the Travis/Hays county line. Why we were assigned them in the first place is beyond me. OR says it's because the contractor told them they said they serviced my area. Well, apparently they do when they feel like it!

Also, F rating with BBB. I've never seen one of those until today. I totally can understand why now.

I have unfortunately needed to call these folks a lot lately. Regardless of who they send out, I have had professional, on-time service every time. They always call ahead, which is also a plus.

Referral from my home warranty company (2-10). This is the 2nd time we used them, very satisfied. They called ahead, arrived on time, were courteous and professional and left without any mess.

Last time around the replaced a leaky faucet, this tim it was the garbage disposal. Full replacement with a new item, no fuss about what the home warranty company was willing to pay or any of that nonsense.

If I could give zero stars I would. These guys did a shoddy job replacing a leaky valve in my bathtub faucet last year. The first issue was right away I noticed the knobs were really hard to turn on or off, and when I told the plumber he said that was normal with a new faucet. Then just the other day after my sons bath, I turned the water off, but now there was a steady leak. No matter how hard I turned the knobs, couldn't stop it. So I called them and they said they only support their work for 90 days and we were out of that time, so they wouldn't support the faulty install. The receptionist said I should've said something at the time when I noticed that knobs and I told her I had; to which she had nothing to respond with. Now i'm going to have to end up paying twice for a bath tub faucet within a year...Thanks for a crappy job and for not supporting your crappy work A Dos Amigos. Be assured you will never get my business again and i'll make sure to tell everyone I know that dealing with you is as annoying as a dripping faucet!

I was absolutely apprehensive when I was given this as my contact for my water heater issue, but I cannot rave enough about their work! Ryan came over on a weekday and diagnosed the problem almost immediately. He told me that I would need to replace the water heater, but that he needed to speak to my warranty company to see what was covered. Turns out everything was covered, and I was scheduled within 3 days to get a new water heater (delays were because of me). Ryan came at the time he said he would show up and worked so hard to get it fixed. It took him five hours because of all the upgrades that needed to occur to get it in compliance. He was awesome and loved his work. Water Heater works great. I can't complain - they rocked!

It feels very strange giving this many stars for a place that has such bad reviews but I really did have a pleasant experience.

Put in a claim with my home warranty that a few of our faucets weren't getting hot water and we had a different plumber come out and say it was likely because of the age of our water heater (it was almost 20 years old) and so at that point we figured we would contact home warranty.

They sent out A Dos Amigos Plumbing and they stated that we definitely needed a new water heater (phew!) and that our home warranty would cover everything except for about $113 of parts. We were fine with that. They were able to come out just a few days later with the new water heater, they installed it and that was that. No hassle - no scam - just a new water heater properly installed.

I'm sorry so many others had a bad experience with them. I was fully prepared to have a bad experience as well and then...well...didn't.

I would give this incompetent company zero stars as well. This company was assigned by my home warranty. My water heater went out last Sunday and I had their 1st tech come out on Thursday. The tech did his troubleshooting and concluded the safety mechanism needed to be replaced. The tech called GE (brand of my water heater) to have the part shipped overnight. The next day, I called the company when the part arrived. Two different techs were dispatched. After their own troubleshooting, they inform me the previous tech should have ordered the entire burner, not just the safety mechanism. They also inform me I have water damage which my home warranty might not cover. I was surprised because the previous tech made no remark of water damage in his notes. At this point, I just wanted my water heater fixed, so I didn't argue. They told me that GE was overnighting the part. I asked for a tracking or confirmation number to stay on top of it, but the tech had nothing. At 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, the part had not come in, so I decided to call GE myself to see if I could track the part. I gave GE my case number and it turned out the part was never shipped because it was out of stock. I am pretty sure the techs knew this, but kept me in the dark. It made no sense that GE would inform me and not them about the part being out of stock. Fortunately, GE gave me the option to return my water heater to Home Depot for a new. I went with this option since I had zero confidence in A Dos Amigos Plumbing at this point. I ended up installing it myself. If you are looking for company that is dishonest and has zero urgency when it comes to providing customer service, A Dos Amigos Plumbing is your company.
