Nice to see others had good experiences with Amesos. These Yelp reviews read like Paid Advertising Messages. Well my experience was NOT GOOD!

For me Amesos offered the classic scenario of intentional deception and BAIT AND SWITCH in order to make a few extra bucks from a client. What should have been a simple hour job based on their estimate and review of the situation turned in to a major event that lasted days and thousands of dollars. The workers were nice and helpful, but to me the owner was DECEPTIVE and not a man of good character.

It struck me as odd that he directed his workers on what to do and how to do it, but had no idea what his own equipment did, so he was not able to aptly supervise the status of the job and the activity on my site. Also, he had his workers leave my site and go somewhere else to do a job (a higher paying job that the owner actually said ""was a priority"") and attempted to charge me for those unworked hours.

Summary: Bottom Line, if I ever have another plumbing job that is needed, big or small, I will GO ELSEWHERE. Extremely DISAPPOINTING. I had heard good things about Amesos so I went on word of mouth so I guess there are others who have had good experiences. Lucky for them. But I feel it is important for property owners and homeowners out there to know that this company is NOT batting 1000 as these Yelp reviews suggest and to keep this in mind if you are considering them.

I agree with all the previous posters' positive comments. I originally had them replace my lateral sewer line earlier in the spring. Then had them back to work on a clogged kitchen sink in August. Don't recall his name, but he cleared the line pretty quickly and since there was still time on the clock, asked if I had any other problems (I was pleasantly shocked!). I did, a slow draining bathtub whose u-trap I didn't know how to reach. He took care of that one too at no extra cost. And very reasonable price. I'll never go back to the rip-off chains like Rescue Rooter again!

These guys are the best!. The office staff is so friendly, warm, and nice, and so helpfull. They make you feel like they are really going to take care of you and they do!... Stan is the MAN!, He came to my house and videoed my sewer lateral due to a clog I had. After looking at the video with him and seeing it was clogged with roots and pipes were separating he clearly spelled out what they needed to do.
They did the work in a timely manner and took the utmost care in replacing the sewer line. They were even less $ than a 2nd bid I got for the job.
Everything was perfectly cleaned and tidy after the job.....These guys are awesome!

I'm a true fan of Amesos Plumbing. Nick, the owner is the nicest guy alive. He's knowledgeable, honored his quote, met his estimated date of completion and now I have hot water in my kitchen, a new water line to the house, a new hot water heater and a gas shut off valve. Even when a smoky error occurred, it was fixed immediately as if nothing had happened, and Nick did everything to hit the estimated completion date. He treated my house like he would his own. Two thumbs up!

High marks from start to end on a sewer lateral replacement. Spent the time at time of estimate to talk through the issues and a few other possible repairs. Crew worked their butts off in super-high heat. All went as expected. Will hire again.

I was slightly 'underwhelmed' with their service. After resetting our toilet five month ago the same toilet had to be reset again. I am not a plumber but don't think this would have happened had the problem been fixed properly in the first go around. Mark assured me that this time he fixed it so that it will last, took the $152 hourly minimum charge and left. I would have expected at least an offer for a small reduction in price.

Having said this I still think that Mark is a good guy. I just did not like how this thing was handled.

Can I give this place a 10 star rating? I actually signed up with Yelp just to write this review. I called this company because of the Yelp reviews, and I second the enthusiastic endorsements of this business. From my phone conversation with cheerful, efficient, helpful Michelle (who even gave me referrals for other plumbers when it looked like we couldn't find a time that would work for me), to Mark, who I can't say enough great things about, this was a terrific experience overall. Mark IS the nicest guy, and he was SUPER efficient at fixing my faucets (including a lightening fast trip to buy new parts). He's extremely professional, knowledgeable, patient with questions, and a really cool person. I will definitely call Amesos Plumbing again and will recommend them to anyone who wants top-notch service.

Carl did an excellent job fixing my toilet! It had become more like a fountain than a toilet, but he changed all that. He also unclogged two drains upstairs AND tried to help me re-balance my dishwasher. Very friendly, extremely professional, knowledgeable AND reasonable. I will definitely call Amesos next time I need help! Thanks Carl!!

I've known Bob Moritz (co-owner) since he was a one-man shop. I've used his services for over 15 years! Loved him then, love him now. I've called Amesos out for every kind of plumbing problems and they are always prompt to respond, nice to work with and do a great job. Recently I worked with Mark and Stan who are personable, quick and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Amesos! Give them a try - you won't be sorry.
