I am a 70 year old lady and I still know a scam when I see it. I had America's Best come out to do an AC inspection and they told me that my air conditioner needed a new contactor and a new Capacitor and Relay. They were going to charge me $947.00 for this repair. I thought this was very high so I did some research and ended up buying the parts from Naughtons Plumbing for $86.85 and then proceeded to climb up on my roof (no easy task for an old lady) and in 30 minutes had everything replaced and AC back on.
I don't know how the owner, Ron Bott, of America's Best which is also Alaskan Air can sleep at night with a clear conscience.
Just for fun I called another AC company and asked them what it would cost for parts and labor for the same job. They told me it would be around $300.00 which is still a lot for 30 minutes but at least this is somewhat of a fair charge in order for the business to make a profit.
But 3 times that amount.......you have got to be kidding.

Don't waste your time! Needed a plumber today. Called this morning, after waiting hours for a return call, I had had to call back. Got an appointment between 3-6 pm. Left work early. Waited, waited, waited. 6pm time passed. No plumber, no call. Finally got a hold of the company around 6:40 pm (after US calling and waiting) only to be told they were down to 1.5 plumbers (not exactly sure what a half plumber is???). End of story, no plumber, barely an apology and now back to square one. Thanks for nothing. Consumers/homeowners save your time...hire someone else.

Recently had a clogged toilet and I could not get it unclogged for the life of me. Called America's Best and was able to get a plumber out quickly. The technician was very professional and did a great job. When I was trying to unclog the toilet I was making more of a mess, but the technician was very careful and patient. Within no time at all I had a working toilet again. Very thankful for the great and kind service. Will definitely call for future service and will recommend to friends and family.

Service contract with Alaskan Home Service. Was sent to America's Best for replacement of water heater. The heater was installed incorrectly. It took two weeks for a plumber to come back and fix, only to discover there was more involved to the repair. The plumber didn't have the necessary part on his truck, so instead of going to store to purchase and finish the job he leaves and says the office will call to schedule another visit. Another several days pass no call ,so I call them. I'm told they are down to one plumber as the other was apparently let go or quit. Finally get on the schedule for the following week. Day comes and I have a 10-1 slot. I'm called at 10:15 and told plumber will be there in 45 min. I can't make it home until noon due to emergency. I'm told I have to be rescheduled again by the very unfriendly, non customer service oriented scheduler. They won't shuffle the schedule to help, even though I would still be home in my time slot. All this due to their first plumber not doing the job correctly the first time.
What amazes me is this is a ""plumbing company"" that only has one plumber on staff??? Might be a good idea to hire a couple more.
With all this, crappy work to begin with, delays, unprepared the second visit, and some of reports customer service I've ever experienced from an office person, I cannot give a good rating or even come close to recommendation for this company.

They ripped me off. The work done was sub-par: incorrect flange used for new toilet so it leaked, 1 toilet too big for space but was installed anyway & i wasn't informed, incorrect lines installed on washer, 1 old rust sink line not changed but i was charged for part & labor.
My time was wasted re-working flange & new, correct lines. Old rusty line still left until i hired someone new to review their work. I was overcharged for parts & labor.
Company rep basically said caveat emptor-buyer beware!
