I am very disappointed of the service I got on 8/1/20, I call this company for a sewer clog they came in they did some type of work charge me $195 and was told that couldn't be unclogged do to a broken pipe line from a big tree in front of my house. I ask how much will that be, he stated that they don't do that type of work but it is very expensive. I ask him if he knows any company that do this type of work he said he knows someone that do this work but is very expensive it could run from $12,000 to $15,000. I was taken away of the price. I then call my town to check my block sewerage and they stated that was good. I ask my town to recommend me a good company that won't take advantage of homeowners to unclogged the sewer. They recommended me Roto-Rooter . They came in immediately and unclogged my sewer in 45 minutes for only $598 . I lost $195 with American Way Mechanical !!!!

American Way Mechanical don't but an advertisement that you do drain/sewer cleaning, when you don't have all the equipment you need to do a job!!!

STAY AWAY!!!Do not contact or use this so called pluming service. ""AL"" the owner/employee is a cheat and a liar. Showed up an hour late and was nasty when I mentioned the fact. Eventually Had to call the cops on him when He tried to run me over with his blue van. STAY AWAY!!!

These guys have no idea what they are doing. Shoddy work and dishonest pricing. Stay away.

I scheduled an appointment largely based on their yelp reviews. One of their techs told me that my unit was low on Freon - so rather than replacing the entire system - I paid him to top-off the Freon. During the service call the tech told me that if I ultimately replaced the system that they would give me a credit equal to what I paid for the Freon service.
Soon thereafter, my HVAC faltered again, so I decided to replace it. American Way agreed to meet Friday to determine the appropriate size of the replacement unit (prior to doing the installation). On the morning of our appointment, they told me that they needed to reschedule it until mid-week, the following week. After I protested, they agreed to meet me on Saturday.

HVAC installers are supposed to provide a calculation, which is based on the architecture of the space, and that determines the HVAC unit's specs. I unfortunately found this out after the fact. American Way did not do this. Instead they did a seemingly back of the envelope calculation. During the assessment meeting they told me that the install would take three to five hours and that my space required a larger unit.

I could not be there on the day of the install so my wife stayed home from work to meet them. The installer arrived later than promised. Instead of taking three to five hours, it took more than eight hours. At the conclusion of the installation my wife calls me at work because things aren't going well.

During this process, the installer found a permanent marker and literally wrote the word ""FURNACE"" with it on our newly installed furnace on/off switch plate (see attached picture). Upon discovering this my wife asked him what he was thinking so he tried to defend this maneuver with some nonsensical response. He then asked if we had rubbing alcohol in the house. She informed him that we did not. He then went to his car and retrieved his cologne, which he sprayed on the switch plate. Not unexpectedly, the cologne did not work well. The result was a blue/black permanent marker smudge over the white switch plate. NO . . . I am not making this up.

After permanent marker/cologne incident he told my wife that they could not honor the Freon credit that they promised and that ""your husband agreed to this when he signed the contract downstairs."" This statement was categorically false. It is hard not to characterize this interaction as a chauvinistic attempt to take advantage of a presumably naïve woman, who was at home without her husband.

Some days after the installation misadventure, our thermostat HVAC A/C function turned on and it sounded like a 747 preparing for takeoff. Upon closer inspection I discovered that there were huge gaps between the new unit and the metal housing. The gaps were big enough that I could easily put my finger in-between the unit and the house. Ultimately they returned and made a halfhearted attempt at fixing the gaps. That said, the thing still sounded like a 747 when it turned on. Some months later we found out that the unit that was installed was too large for the space. In the end, after all the stress, despite updating our old HVAC with a more modern unit, the new one was actually louder and no more efficient than the old one.

I would honestly not write bad reviews (STAY AWAY). All scams and bad attitude with no satisfactory answers and charged me for stuff and my Gas Water Heater still did not work.
Day 1 Friday evening replaced some valve $225
Day 2 morning on Saturday a technician showed up, they had to replace $20 sensor and asked me to pay another $125. Guy had no knowledge and had a real bad attitude. He called Manufacturer to trouble shoot, something I could have done with my own.
Told me some stupid reason; and asked me to keep the fan on to dry the water and said it will be all fine.

I said I am not paying until I get he heater to work. He snapped the sensor out and walked out cursing.

Even their owner was pretty rude on the phone.

Spend $50 more but get someone real. Go Roto Rooter or some trustable source.

Called air conditioning company my air was not working! This company came right out to see to what the problem was gentleman by the name of REMMY he was amazing ! He was honest and straight to the point. I was able to compare prizes with other company and they were cheaper and the work was done fast ! I'm thankful and will be calling this company again ! Absolutely Horrible Experience- look elsewhere. The plumbers came to give us a quote for a leaking bathtub that had leaked to the floor below us. The price sounded unreasonably high so I said I was not interested in having them complete the job. I was not trying to haggle, I just knew I would get a cheaper price with a plumber I used in the past. Finally, they lowered the price to something I agreed to even though I still thought it was expensive. They fixed the issue of the leak going to the floor below however they did NOT fix the leak that was actually causing the issue!! When my husband questioned them they said ""oh, that needs a separate piece that was not included in the price"", we could not believe it! So, my bathroom tub is still dripping water. Now, I need to have a new plumber come out and do that work and pay someone more. I feel completely taken advantage of- I would look elsewhere.

Had my AC stopped blowing cool air over the weekend. (Surprisingly) The phone was picked up, appointment scheduled and job done in no time.
