Contrary to a few unhappy reviews, the family-owned and run American Septic Service gave us a 5-star experience. It was our first time utilizing their services. The office phone was answered as soon as we called, the appointment was scheduled immediately, and the pump truck operator showed up on time, completed his job efficiently, and even gave us a customer discount. We will be calling them again next time. And happily supporting the local businesses always feels like a little bonus.

Friendly but not prompt and difficult to get a hold of...follow through isn't a strength. We had problems and all we could get from them was that ""your system has failed"". That was it - no reason no offer to test...nothing. We are searching for another company to use in the future.

This company is a joke! DO NOT USE! Been getting the run around for over a month! Trying to get work completed for use permit in time for closing. They don't show for appointments, they don't call, they don't return calls as promised! Was actually told by receptionist to use a different company if I wasn't happy about all the trouble. Was told after the second time they didn't show for an appointment, (I had to call to find out why) that the locate wasn't done. She told me it was scheduled but when I called 811 they had no record. She said she would email me the confirmation but never did. So I set up my own locate. I wanted to set up an actual date to have the work done (again) she said she was out of the office not in front of schedule and would call me when she got back at 5pm. She never called. That was Tuesday, it is now Friday, crickets. Today is when I wanted it done. Then I took her advice and found another septic company. Absolute Diversified Services. Prompt, courteous, and the work was done the day after he quoted me. If you want to avoid total frustration, just don't use American Septic.

Great, honest, family business. Two years ago Kevin pumped out our tanks and said they'd check on them for free at any time. Today we called them (on a Friday morning before a holiday weekend) and they came right over to replace our pump, which failed just over warranty (isn't it always that way?). Zach (Kevin's son) was very knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful, and improved several aspects of our installation while he was at it. We've had work done by a few other services and our experience was not the best - to put it mildly. Now that we've found American Septic we will never have anyone else work on our system!

This company sent an 18 year old kid to pump 4 septic tanks. He said he took 1250 gallons out of tank 1. It only holds 1000 gal max. The other 3 were not touched. They charged $475. A week later the tank flooded and short rd out the sump pump costing $1200 to replace.

Today, another company is here to again pump all 4 tanks, which is what we paid American septic to do. Use American septic at yor own risk. They were a disaster for us.
