Oops. Forgot to review American Rooter but better late than never, right?

I prefer dealing with local companies and found American Rooter via Yelp when I had a problem that caused water to flood the garage around my washing machine area.

Marvin (the owner) stopped by and we mutually determined that the washing machine was fine and that the issue was a clogged drain causing water to back up out of my washing machine drain pipe. He quickly cleared the clog and when I asked him to do preventative maintenance and run his rooter on my main drain line, he cheerfully agreed.

Pros:
- Very reasonable rates
- Wiping down the side of my washing machine afterwards! It had nothing to do with the clogged drain but Marvin, I appreciate your attention to detail!
- Cleaning up the debris drudged up from the clogged drain inside the garage and from the main drain pipe on the outside of the house.
- Takes credit cards (yeah, hotel points!)

Con:
- Well, if anything, Marvin didn't give me a price on the preventative maintenance work on the main drain line until after the work was completed but it was still very reasonable and next time, I'll ask first.

Marvin's a small business owner that I'm happy to recommend and use for other plumbing jobs I need his expertise on.

Marvin is the best. Gave a free estimate. Was on time to do the work and did it quickly and efficiently. He did not leave a mess after he was done. He is a very pleasant Man. I'll recommend him and will call him again.

great job all around.just chalk up a nether five star review and add some pluses for pleasure to have in my home. replaced water heater on a Sunday. the shut off valve to heater wouldn't close,had keep dumping buckets. saved us thanks. i would recommend to anyone.

One of our old pipes broke late on a Saturday night, flooding part of the crawlspace beneath our house. We called Marvin first thing Sunday morning, and he responded quickly, saying he would arrive early that afternoon.

Sure enough, Marvin arrived promptly, diagnosed the problem, and explained what needed to be done. After a quick trip to the hardware store, Marvin squeezed his way into the crawlspace to fix the pipe. The whole thing only took a couple of hours and was completed at a very reasonable price.

We could not have asked for better service from Marvin. He was professional, friendly, accommodating, and always positive. We're glad we found our go-to plumber!

Marvin is the best professional plumber you will ever get!

I had an issue with my shower handle which was not turning off water. He gave me initial quote for opening the shower up and another quote if a cartridge needs to be replaced.
Immediately, I sent him pictures of my shower handle, he was quick to tell me that I can fix this by myself and shared steps to do it.

I don't think anyone will treat you with such professionalism. Also, by just looking at pictures if one can provide solution then as per me he is a real pro in his work.

Call him if you need any help with your plumbing and other needs. He is the best bet!

I don't usually write reviews, but felt compelled to after Marvin repiped a rental property for me, along with clearing a drain and replacing the kitchen sink. Friendly service, reasonable prices, good communication, and he dealt with all the scheduling with the tenants. I never even had to meet him in person. Can't recommend him enough and will definitely call him for any future plumbing needs.
