These guys are the best. I was desperately looking for someone to fix my air conditioner because my normal Home Warranty people were not coming through at all so I called American Reliable. They sent David within an hour of my call and David figured out what was needed. He took care of the details and gave me what was a fair price. He actually had to come out numerous times because my situation with the AC was a little complicated. He was extremely professional and got us back up with AC as soon as possible. Me and my husband just bought a new house in Los Angeles (moving from Sacramento, CA) and boy oh boy it's been a very loooong and rough process for us -- due to traveling back and forth we needed to find people that can help us with the lights in our house. It was so hard going around and asking family for recommendations a good friend of mine suggested American Reliable Services and of course I went straight to Yelp! I requested a quote and a man named David responded and literally had answers to ALL of my questions. I was a little nervous and anxious but of course I was proved not to be after we met up and went over prices. All I have to say is this company is very reliable, trustworthy & always on time! BTW David came in and installed some lights in our walk in closet. I'm going to contact next week for lights to be installed in our backyard

David was quick to respond and to keep in contact, even as I bombarded him with texts and questions about pricing and possible repair issues. He was incredibly professional, and gave pricing estimates up front before having to look at anything.

On the day of the repair appointment, he arrived 2 minutes early and went straight to work. He fixed my issue quickly with no mess, no issue, and charged me the exact amount he said he would.

Terrible company. There name is reliable and they are not reliable. We made an appointment between 8am-10am and they never called showed up.
The dispatcher said she had the wrong area code, but the area code was verified on the call to make the appointment as well as written In The inquiry. They claim to be a 24/7 service but couldn't come until the next day supposedly. DO NOT trust this company.

As you can tell from every review on here these guys are the best in Los Angeles. I contacted them through yelp and within 10 minutes got a response. They came out on the hottest day of the year when everyone else was swamped. They came out after hours to help me. The owner contacted me 10 times to explain the work that was done. I could not be happier with these people. These are the top of the line people in the business. It is rare to find a good ac company but even rarer to find great people to deal with. Please don't even look at one more listing or hesitate to use these guys.

DON'T CALL THESE GUYS!!! YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME! Ever wonder why its only ~300 reviews is 5 stars all the way? yea these guys are scamming you. If you are ok with Do it yourself stuff around the house like we all are in the valley, you don't need to call these guys. It really is just replace the capacitor and you are done. They charged me $300 for a capacitor last year when we had a heat wave and now it BROKE AGAIN! I went up to the roof and check it and the capacitor broke again! DON'T CALL THESE GUYS!!! YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME!

Great experience during a heat wave! Spoke to actual woman who booked technician, David, to come out same day, sunday, with a 2 hour window. He arrived within time frame and diagnosed quite quickly. The AC unit just needed a new capacitor? Thank God! David was efficient, professional and respectful and asked to get me a discount on the service call....I couldn't be happier and will use them again and very happy to refer!

After having our AC stop working yesterday during a record breaking heat wave, I was very happy to see the technician here this morning right on time. He was knowledgeable and worked quickly to get the cool air flowing right away! All good right? Well here's why I gave them only two stars...first of all they charge you $125 just to show up! WOW!! Then he shows us that our capacitor went out and that's all that needed to be replaced and it was only going to cost us $250 for the part plus the service fee of course. After he left we decided to look the part up online and found that we could get a pack of TWO from Walmart for $16.99!!!!! That's one heck of a mark up people!!! So be warned and do your homework or you too will be suckered like we were!
