I live in a larger community in the Poconos and I called our gate to ask if they could refer me to a septic company and they gave me this companies name. Even though I was referred to them I decided to do my own research. After reading the reviews about this company on Angie's list, Facebook and google I decided to go with this company because I only came across one bad review, the review above. I found it strange that this person said they called over a three month period and no response and I had to question why would someone wait for three months to get service and not move on to another company but still take the time to leave a review. I figured either this was a bogus review or this person was an annoying customer and the company decided to not return their call, yes it happens. The reason I decided to leave my first ever review on yelp is because this company went above and beyond to help me! I called at 11 P.M. on a Friday night and they were out early the next morning. While they were fixing my system my neighbor came over and the owner of American Pump addressed him by first name, apparently he has done business with them for years and said he refers them out all the time. I have to admit I was reluctant because they appeared to not be as large as some other companies in the area, but they are very personable and attentive to their customers and I have no complaints on their rates. You can't ask for much more out of a company.

Our grinder pump alarm kept going off. I called Charlie up and he sent a guy the very next day. Shaun came and replaced something on the grinder but the following morning the alarm goes off again. So I call Charlie and he sends Shaun over again. This time he was able to find the problem. One of the floaters had to be replaced. They were very friendly and very professional. They accommodated me and my family right away. When the alarm went off again they came right away and fixed the problem. Thanks so much for going beyond the call of duty. They didn't over charge me or give me some unbelievable story like I don't know what they are talking about. They were very honest and very fair priced. I highly recommend them for any grinder or plumbing problems.

This place sucks. I called three separate times across a three month period. Still no service, two of my inquiry calls were never returned. Very unprofessional. Good thing it wasn't an emergency. Hope to have better luck with a reputable company.

This is my third time using this company. The first time they came out on a holiday when no one else would come out. The second time they came out to my parents house on a Sunday and fixed a problem no other company was able to fix. Then I needed my tank pumped on a Sunday and no other company would come out to pump it. They provide very affordable prices and professional service. The owner is very honest. I will only use this company from now on.
