Michaela C.This review concerns bids & pricing. American Plumbing has done one job for us, replacing a kitchen faucet in an older home.
They gave us a bid of $472.00 to replace the faucet. I trusted them and given that price, I assumed it was a major job. They gave me a lump sum bid, not itemized with labor and materials separately, and that should have tipped me off. Turns out the faucet itself was a minor cost and installation took under 20 minutes. No idea why this was a $472.00 job. Their labor charge must be $20/minute! When I inquired re. the cost, I received no response.
My advice: definitely get two or more bids on any job before hiring this company and be cautious about lump sum bids.
