Recommended Customer Reviews
American Plumbing provides excellent service. As others have stated, they answer phone calls in person, book appts quickly, and arrive on time. They are professionals with experience who charge reasonably and correct issues efficiently. It is so reassuring to have a company whom you can trust for reliable, friendly service. They're the BEST! We wouldn't call anyone else!!
Don and his team are great people to work with and they really know their stuff. I've called on them for several projects and they never disappoint. Highly recommend.
The woman that answers the phones there is absolutely HORRENDOUS! The rudest, most unprofessional and inattentive person I have ever dealt with. Doesn't return phone calls after weeks of reaching out, always claims she'll ""call you back"" instead of handling the appointment scheduling at that time. After explaining I never had any missed calls or voicemails from them to schedule, she repeatedly just rudely kept telling me she called me and never heard back. I would never do business with this company even as a last resort. Save your money for people that deserve it.
*** Typical NO SHOW ***
Requested a Saturday APPT on Feb 24, 2020 for Feb 29, 2020. Confirmed in email they would arrive between 8:30 and 9:30 am. Waited and waited and waited. Called office at 9:30 am and said, ""I had an APPT and nobody showed up"". Lady on phone said, ""let me call and see what is going on"". Called back in 5 mins and said, ""oh there was a gas emergency and he lost track of time"", I said, ""well what is his ETA""? Her reply was ""oh, he is going to have to reschedule."" Thank you, American Plumbing, for not calling and saying that there was an emergency, we have to reschedule your APPT. The plumber knowing that he had another appointment, wouldn't you think he would be thinking, oh I better call my next APPT and keep them posted. No, they would rather make their customers wait and simply not show up. Morning wasted! If I would have never called them, they would have never called me. If I can't trust them to arrive on time for and estimate or have the courtesy to call and say they are not coming, I don't trust them to come in my house to do plumbing. Typical irresponsible ""I don't care company"".
Jim B.I have used American Plumbing for years. Don and Corey are fantastic. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. I give this place my very highest recommendation. They just came out and put a hot water tank in for me. I love this company. Give them a call !!
We had water in our basement and called American Plumbing. The owner, Don, came in less than 15 minutes. He checked the sump pump and said it was working. He told us to monitor it for a few days. It has been 3 rainy days and the sump pump is working fine. I know we have to change the sump pump someday, but I am glad he did not trick us to replace a working pump.
Mike L.I purchased a house in Westlake where American Plumbing did the waterproofing prior to our purchase. I have called them 4 times to ask questions about the sump pump they installed and I have never gotten a call back. Each time they take a message and say someone will get back to me and never does. Thought it would be good to have someone familiar with the install, but a better option is someone that will actually respond.
Meg H.Can't say enough great things about this company. Employees super friendly and efficient. We initially had Roto Rooter come in. Charged us $4700 to excavate and provided us no relief. Quoted us at $18,000!!!! To fix the problem and said that our family of 6 needed to vacate house for 3 days!! American Plumbing came in and quoted us $3000. And we don't need to leave our home!! So thankful!!
American Plumbing has caused leaks in our ceiling and put toilets, dishwasher and showers in wrong. They also take forever to come to your house and never come on time. I would strongly recommend not using them as your plumber if you want the job done right.
Heather J.We chose American Plumbing to do our separation we are required to complete for EPA compliance. Our experience has been a nightmare from the beginning. The owner, Don, was initially very nice to work with. Although whoever answers the phone for him at the office, lacks any sort of customer service or help. She's very short and cold. After our project being delayed for several months, the workers finally came out and did our separation. To our knowledge, everything was good. Eight months later we had to do some foundation repair. We chose a company who was actually a competitor for the separation work. When they dug up our yard and uncovered the work American Plumbing had done, they noticed it was not done correctly. We called our City Water Department to have someone come back out while the pipes were exposed. At this time, we were advised the water department never inspected the work completed by American Plumbing. Don was quick to come out once he was advised by us the work was never inspected. He and the water department went back and forth and eventually, the city signed off on the work. The major work to our street was recently completed and we were advised to have American Plumbing come back and finish their part. We called them and were given an appointment time and no one ever showed up and didn't even bother to call us. We waited around all day for the plumber to arrive. After an additional three phone message, one to Don, someone finally arrived on a Friday. We were advised the work would be completed that day, but it was not. The plumber who came just took measurements and said the actual work would be completed the following Monday and then threw another bombshell on us! He told us we now have to have another line ran since the EPA changed the requirements. What!? I called the city immediately and questioned this. I was advised we were not given the right information. So, it's now Monday...no show of American Plumbing and no call to advise either. The City just called and told us they contacted American Plumbing, who told the city they weren't coming out until tomorrow, Tuesday. Again, no call from American Plumbing! Now, the city and the plumber will be out tomorrow. I pray everything goes well and there are no other bombshells dropped!
Don't use American Plumbing, unless you want to be given the run around!
