My issues with American Plumbing are still unresolved. After finally figuring out it was the water heater all along, Terry is now trying to charge me another $1250 for labor to install the replacement heater. The same cost as the heater itself, which is being replaced for free under warranty. Additionally, Terry refused to do any further work until I removed this review. Which isn't going to happen. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME WITH THIS COMPANY. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, FIND A BETTER PLUMBER.

Installed Garbage Disposal and did some work on one of my toilets. Good Efficient work!!

Fantastic service. Had someone else come out and look at my job, however, something didn't add up with their quote and diagnostic approach to the problem. Called American Plumbers and they came out quickly, examined the issue properly, as well as fixing the problem that day. And for 80% less than what the ""other (liars)"" company quoted, for a problem that didn't even exist. As hard as it is to find anyone genuine in the home repair/servicing industry, I will not hesitate recommending this company.

Outstanding service! Britt was very nice and did an amazing job communicating the plumbing issues to me. I was impressed with his skill level and if I have any plumbing issues I will be QUICK to call American plumbing and ask for Britt! Fast work & at a reasonable price!

Complete no show on the day of the appointment. Called office to confirm time, they said someone would be out ASAP again did not show up. Took the day off work for nothing.

Had a Sears Home warranty which they first would not honor. AP is one of their providers and is to warrant their service call for 180 days after an initial call out. They refused saying it was out of warranty date. Sears called American because it was in the same 180 day period. Once there AP wanted to charge a $100 disposal fee for throwing away a garbage disposal. I refused. They said it wasn't a disposal fee they charge $49 for leaving their shop, $110 for diagnosis, and $345 for a new disposal and installation. A total of $544 for a disposal that cost $179. The work order was to change the disposal, so I asked what diagnosis did they have to make. No answer to that, just the same rhetoric about the prices they charge. The man said no disposal fee, he would throw it in the garbage outside but that Sears didn't want to pay what they wanted.
AP left without doing any work. Sears sent another company who did not charge anything to
do the warranty work. Don't use American Plumbing.

overpriced Coming in pairs just to give you very high estimate for simple job. Estimate itself costs money and they will not even gove you a range Be aware that you can get the same work done from honest people fpor a fraction of their quoted price

Called and made an appointment - they didn't show and didn't call. I gave them a second chance, made an appointment, they didn't show but DID call to tell me they would have to come the next day. I was FINE with that because my issue was not an emergency. But my issue IS important! They asked if it would be okay to come the next day as an earlier job had taken longer than expected. I agreed and expected them the following business day. THEY NEVER SHOWED, and didn't call.

Bad experience, possibly a con. I called to have them auger the sewer pipe at one of my rental properties.I usually have to do it every 3 years or so, so I know about the price but asked for ballpark quote. 140 plus 59 service call. Ok, that's about ballpark. I get a call from the person on site to say that it would need the clean out redone properly for 1175 dollars!!!
i replied that he was not replacing the sewer pipe just auguring it out and could use the existing hole in sewer pipe to auger, to which he responded he was not putting his hands in that (kinda your job) I responded he only needed to get the auger in the pipe and that's what they make gloves for. I stated that 200 to 1175 was far to much of a jump for me to feel comfortable with. He stated he would call his boss and see what could be done. I went to the property with in 10 mins and he was not there. My tenets said he told them he was going to his truck and would be right back. He left and never called me back. This appears to be gouging at the worst and really bad service at best

Sadly, Mr. Smith seems to struggle with the truth, or at least with telling the whole story. After they removed the sediment, getting hot water to one of the bathrooms and the kitchen was an exercise in patience, and futility. After several minutes, the best that could be hoped for was a weak stream of luke-warm water unsuitable for washing your hands, let alone taking a shower. And what Mr. Smith also conveniently forgot to disclose is the fact that, after making the tie-in where it was originally suggested, everything worked as it should. So, once again, had this suggestion been followed from the start, the job would have been completed faster, and would have been far more effective. And, one would assume, the job would have cost substantially less. As I stated on my Google review on the questionable practices of this company, Mr. Smith is quick to play the victim when someone posts a negative review, while faithfully failing to take any blame for the shoddy job performed by American Plumbing. Do yourself a favor and avoid doing business with this company. You'll be glad you did.
