Recommended Customer Reviews
I recently had American Plumbing Heating & Cooling out of Bow, NH, to replace my hot water heater. While the onsite staff's workmanship was spot on, and they were amazing to deal with, my overall experience was soured by the gentleman handling inbound calls at their office.
The company charged me $65 for a new drip pan that I never received and $250 for a permit that was taken out five days AFTER the service was completed--three times the actual cost of the town permit, which is only $75 in Amherst. According to the town's ordinance, permits need to be pulled prior to any work being done. It was only after I confronted the company about not pulling a permit that they attempted to backtrack and obtain one 5 days after the completion of this job.
When I requested a refund, they informed me that I needed to have the town inspector come and inspect their work before they would issue a refund for the $65 & not for the permit. This inspection is not a requirement, with or without a permit, yet they are refusing to refund my money.
While their onsite team did an excellent job, the dishonesty of the office staff puts a bad name on the company. I DO NOT recommend American Plumbing Heating & Cooling due to these deceptive practices.
Rick F.Our water heater went on the fritz called my home warranty company and they dispatched American. Jim sent out Steve the tech he got it yo and running for the most part. Over night it went out again but it had nothing to do what the work Steve did so the very next day first thing mark came out to find out the parts store sold Steve a defective part. Our water heater works great now. Steve and mark were very professional and honest and explained everything they were going to before they did it. Highly recommend American plumbing , heating and cooling. Jim and his crew are the best
They are the best....A One service....friendly , respectful and reasonable...I would highly recommend this company...The best in their field!
Adam S.I would like to take a moment and give a shout out to by far the best plumbing and heating company out there.
I own a single family home in Derry, NH which I now rent out. My tenant recently left the heat too low causing the pipes to almost freeze. They actually had slush in them. American Generations Plumbing went out to the property within a day and got the heat running again. Prevented the pipes from freezing, giving heat back to the family and saving me a ton.
I use American Generations Plumbing exclusively. No questions
I have also hired his company to install a new heating system. Far more efficient than the old system.
