Not because of competence, I can't comment on that aspect as only an inspection and a ""quote"" was performed.
What I can say about a ""player"" named James who came to our home on a request for service is that he is a total predator and quoted $1000, yes that's $1000 to recharge our air-conditioning unit!!!!
Affordable AC here in Fallbrook did the job next day for $160.
We knew the unit had a small leak but it had been 2 1/2 yrs since it was charged... and it was getting HOT, remember that HOT? Like it seldom gets here in F'brook! So we put out the SOS to American Air Cond.
I guess that James Logsdon thought; heck nice home, nice car in the driveway, let me take this old guy to the cleaners and rip him off for about $800+ bucks. Not 2 or 3 hundred, $840 MORE than I got the job done for.
Now I don't know about you folks but I would never do business with anyone who even hires a guy like that. No mistake here, I've got a photo of his business card if you want.\ wish I cld post it with this review!

So so so happy I called this company!!! My AC went out and it was getting very hot in the house. I called several companies and everyone wanted an arm and a leg to come out and the soonest they could do it was two days out. Then I called American Plumbing. The receptionist was super nice and they answered quickly. They said they could be at my house in an hour. About 40min later Shane was at my door. I had a note up because I was putting my youngest down for a nap so he called instead of knocking which was so nice. He did some fast trouble shooting and discovered the probably and had the AC fixed and running within about ten min!!!!!!!!! So grateful for Shane's fast, friendly and super reasonable repair!!!!! He was friendly to the kids and dog too We all highly recommend Shane and American Plumbing

Andrew came out on time and checked out our heater. It wouldn't start up this winter. I was afraid it was something big, but as it turned out, it was just the thermostat, he changed it out and was on his way. He even endured a bee sting and kept on working. I recommend this company highly and will use them in the future as needed!! Hope you feel better Andrew!!!!

Andrew was professional, and honest. We had an old air conditioner that my husband never ran. We had Andrew come out to look at it. He got it up and running. Down the road we will need a new up to date system. We appreciate the honesty and hard work.
