I got stuck with these guys by my home warranty provider to fix a leaking hot water heater. For more than 2 months I got stories about back ordered parts from Japan and promises to keep me updated. Finally, they told me they were going on vacation and to just call my home warranty provider to get someone new. Wish I had done that much sooner! Will never use these guys again and recommend others avoid them also.

Mario replaced my hot water heater and brought it up to code. This was American Home Shield warranty work. I was very happy with the experience. Mario scheduled my work for the following day and when he arrived he did efficient work and made it all function. I also found him very personable.

Do not call this company. My home warranty company uses them, so I had no choice. Time window for service was 'between 10 and 1"" but he'd call 1/2 hour ahead. He didn't call, and finally came at 11:38. Rude and snotty Mario. Turns out the stuff I fished out of the disposal didn't belong to the disposal, and the disposal wasn't broken. Good. This took him ONE MINUTE to figure out. And he refused to do anything else while here, even though I paid AHS $75 for his visit, and as he admitted he actually gets more per hour from AHS than $75. WHAT A RIPOFF. Not to mention, who needs a surly service person?!?!

This was one of the fastest and easiest experiences I had with plumbing services. Mario is awesome!

I had a situation with a water heater which suddenly started leaking. It was a blind luck I've seen it early. I had an aweful experience with home warranty who took a very long time to issue the work order.

However, as soon as I received Mario as an assigned plumber, things have started to look brighter. He came faster than he promised and did everything to stop the leak. He shut down the leaking unit and gave me easy to follow steps and recommendations about the next steps.

He was nice and professional. He knew what he was doing. I know we'll stay in touch and next time I'll not waste my time with warranty people, I'll just give Mario a call.

Mario responded quickly to our service call via AHS home warranty. He called before he started to drive out. And once he arrived, he took off his shoes without being prompted. He was quick to identify the source of the blocked drain and fixing it only took about 30 minutes from start to finish. Afterwards, I was able to get some advise from him on how to prevent this problem from occurring again. Only thing that I wish were better was that there was some cleanup left to do; Mario took care of all the major cleanup with his wet/dry vac, but there was still gunk under the sink that needed to be cleaned as well as some part of the floor.

As others have stated , Mario has a strange personality . People have called him rude and unprofessional but that's not quite it . He is ""off"". Try to get another company if you have AHS home warranty .

He is extremely rude and unprofessional. I had to work with him because of AHS. His mode was bad from the start. When I asked him couple questions he did not want to answer. He said he can not work on anything when the water is on. I was gonna figure out how to turn off the water but he did not let me do it, saying it will be difficult. He just did not want to do anything. I told him that he could have give me heads up about this. He got upset and walked away like a 2 year old kid. I have never met in my life somebody more unprofessional and unwilling to do their job

Same problem as everyone who has reviewed this company in the last year. These plumbers seems to hate their job as much as I hated my mother in law.

The representative this company sent did remind me of her, he did for the following reasons:
1. He gave me attitude
2. He was sour
3. He did not seem to care about me
4. He did all he could to get all my money (well, the means were different that my mother in law, but both did not seem to care much about talking my money.
5. He did not replied my calls/messages
6. He left the house without letting me know

As crazy as my review might look, the truth is that I paid this guy premium for a small repair that was never completed.

My money is gone. The plumber is gone. My hopes are gone. The problem with my water heater is the only thing I was able to keep.

Do not bother with these guys. Look for someone else.

The only reason that this company is in businesses is that it has the monopoly with home warranty company "" american shield "" in san mateo. Or maybe this is the only reason that they are rude and do not have time to fix the customer's problems.
For us, their representative came to our home at 9:20am. my mother open the door for him and gave him access but he decided to leave as my mom does not speak English or French. He gave me a call at 9:21. I call him back at 9:25, and he said he can not return to our home as he is under way to his next appointment.
It looks like that he has less than 4 minutes to fix your problem and collect his fee. So if your pluming job is going to take more than 4 minutes, he is on his way to the next customer house, but do not forget that

American Home Shield referred me to American Plumbing and Drain. After reading the reviews, i was like OMG, called AHS told me that this is the only company they have contract with.
My water heater tank went out Saturday on Memorial weekend, so that means no hot water for 3 full days because American Plumbing is closed.
While the other water heater companies are open and ready to do the job, I still waited till Tuesday just to save money and use AHS warranty.
Mario came and gave me the quote (AHS will not pay all fees) in my case there are a few modifications so I have to pay for those separately.
He came, changed my water heater tank the same day. He was knowledgeable, he was not rude at all.
I dont know why the other reviews are pretty bad but I had a good experience with Mario from American Plumbing and Drain.
Will do business with him again. He is actually a good guy. Hope this helps.
