If you have the misfortune of having a leak DO NOT use this company. The people in their office are rude, unprofessional and they lie and try to charge for work that they don't do. They supposedly have a guarantee that if they do not find the leak then they do not charge. Don't fall for this! Even when they don't find the source of the leak they make up some bogus claim on their leak detection report, forge your signature on their invoice, then try to sue you for the bill. What a SCAM they're running, BEWARE!!!

The workers seems sparse and are in a hurry at least with leak detection with my hot tub. They used high pressure air to check for leaks. They did Find a leak behind the spa light. They applied silicon and put the light fixture back in the canister before it could dry. Within a day or two it gave out and the leak was worse. The technician E. Came back and I discussed leaving the light fixture out so the compound could effectively dry. They did not seem to want to stay long or come back to reinstall the light. So I asked them to leave it out of the canister and had someone else reinstall the light. It appears the leak was fixed. However. Many leaks popped up on the pool plumbing after they used the high pressure air. I'm having to have someone else reseal those pipes to get the air out of the system and stop minor leaks. I would recommend them if they have time to provide more than 30 minutes for the $300 leak detection fee and the $125 silicon application. Otherwise use someone else.

Last week, we received the dreaded news that we had a hot water slab leak. It explained why our water, gas and electric bills seemed to be skyrocketing. We called our insurance company and also our home warrantee company and both recommended American Leak Detection. Right here, I will say, if you ever have the dreaded slab leak, look no further. Go right to American Leak Detection and let them do their magic. Rob found the source of the problem, rerouted the plumbing so that the leak was finished and the new plumbing better and stronger - and - he did it all without having to jackhammer or destroy our floors. These people are professionals in the true sense of the word and I cannot say enough about the work they do and the manner in which they kept us in the loop on everything that was being done. In the end, the problem was properly addressed and fixed with a minimum of damage to our walls. Damage, I might add, that was completely repaired without a trace, in a matter of days. American Leak Detection is ""The Best"". They KNOW what they are doing.

I have used this service on several occasions. The first time was to do a leak check on my jacuzzi. The second time was to do a leak check on my pool. The technician found a leak in the skimmer in both the jacuzzi and the swimming pool. I spent about $1500 on the leak detection and the repair. The jacuzzi leak got fixed but the swimming pool continued to leak. I then spent another $300 for a leak detection and another $450 for a repair which has not worked. It has been two weeks and the technician has not come out to fix this problem. Today the technician was scheduled but did not show up probably because the supervisor is prioritizing new jobs which earn the company money ahead of repairs of bad quality jobs which obviously they have to do for free. This is the worst service I have ever had from any company. I will NEVER use their service again. Also the lady who answered the phone her name was Kathryn was suspicious about me and asked me how I knew the water level was going down, she was rude to me on the phone. She asked for my email address so she could send me the report and also my credit card she needed as it was incorrect. I gave it to her asked, her to email me copy and she never did. I can only image how she is with other clients. She is very disrespectful, I will never, ever use this company again. Your review helps others learn about great local businesses.

If I could give a negative rating I would. Please save your time and money and don't use these guys. I've waited for my appointment all day with my water off and a no show or conformation that I'm still being serviced. I've decided to call another company that's 24/7 and reliable anytime. I will not refer this company nor will I network them through friends and family. no pity for my family as I told the dispatcher that I have two toddlers in the house! What a disappointment!!! We called back several times in the afternoon before closing and no one answered. Lost my service but you gained this sour review!

They did work for my 84 year old aunt. They did a good job finding the leak and do the repairs but did not complete the job. Left her with missing drywall in garage and living room told her she would have to find someone to do the work that they didn't have anyone. Not good when they told her the job would be complete.

Rob from American Leak Detection did an outstanding job locating our problem and resolving the issue. Showed up on time for appointment. Was respectful and professional. Located the problem which involved cutting concrete and dealing with underground plumbing and sealed the leak. Rob and his crew cleaned up the area like no worker I have ever used, a task often forgotten by contractors. Outstanding service!

This Company is The Best! I was referred to them by my pool man, and he told me that to detect the leak in my pool, could take a few visits, but Roger from Pastime Pools said American Leak Detection, will get it done. Jon was the Tech who not only found the leak in my pool, he diagnosed a problem with my water softener that I never even knew about. It took 3 visits, no additional charges for the extra visits, and Jon actually had to do a dive, and get in my pool to discover that the leak was in the auto fill tube in the side wall of my pool. Jon discovered this as he used a hypodermic needle filled with blue dye and with the pump, filter and water shutoff, the blue dye was sucked from the pool, testifying to the leak, and then Jon did the repair to the 2 holes in the pipe, and rechecked it. Jon had me do a bucket test to make sure with the water shutoff that the pool level did not go down. ALL IS GOOD, and no more very high water bills.
Megan, The Office Manager was very helpful when I was calling to schedule the appointments, and Jon, The Water Whisperer, did a FANTASTIC JOB, and I would highly recommend them.

We recently hired American Leak Detection to detect and repair two major leaks at our home: 1) The main water line running from the street under the sidewalk, and 2) The pool auto-fill canister underneath the pool decking. Rob was extremely professional from start to finish of the project. He was able to personally handle and/ or supervise very competently all aspects of the job, including:
-Accurately detecting the sources of the two significant leaks
-Demo the sidewalk and pool deck
-Performing the necessary plumbing work to repair the main water line and the pool auto-fill
-Expertly replacing the concrete sidewalk and pool deck
-Resurfacing and painting the cool-deck material on the pool decking.
Rob's expertise in all of these varied areas saved us time and money by avoiding the need to identify and hire other companies to perform many aspects of the project. His ""one stop shopping"" capabilities are a huge plus for any major leak repair project. When additional unanticipated work was required to repair the leak in the main water line, Rob developed a creative solution and did not bill any amount in excess of his original estimate. Rob is very personable and a pleasure to work with. We would not hesitate to recommend ALD and Rob for any project involving leak detection and repair.

I called American leak detection when my pool serviceman couldn't figure out why my water levels were fluctuating and water bill was high. They sent out Rob and he is very sharp and fixed it with a float replacement part. It's always good to get a second opinion. He was one of the nicest techs I've ever dealt with and his charge was much lower than the original estimate. If I could give 10 stars I would. My pool serviceman is also Rob of Buckeye Pool Service and recommended American Leak Detection. So glad he did. It' a franchise based in Palm Springs. Fortunately there were no leaks.
