I'd give more stars if could! Nobody could find the leak inside my rental house. My insurance company sent Greg with ALD-Ventura. He quickly and accurately found the leak. I felt he cared about my problem. He took time to listen and help me think through repair possibilities.

Then at 10:30 pm, on a Sat. night, a leak began from my upstairs into my finished garage. I remembered Greg's EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE and EXPERTISE. I immediately called ALD, leaving a message. First thing Sunday morning Greg called me. Being the ethical businessman he is, in spite of my begging, he informed me he couldn't provide service due to my location being out of his service area, That didn't stop him from providing service. Once again, right over the phone, he helped me! Honest, caring, professional, helpful and service oriented are a ""few"" adjectives I'd use to describe Greg of ALD-Ventura. As a person who rarely does reviews, I couldn't recommend him more highly.

I had a leak underground between my well head and fire tank, about 150 feet. No sign of leak aside from water loss. Wesely came out and localized leak in a relatively quick time. Saved me a ton of money and I am very appreciative. Steve R

This company is extremely ethical. I was very impressed how they handled a leak I had in my infinity pool. They went out of their way to find the impossible. Andy, the owner came out himself and yes they found the leak which was quite deep in the ground!
He was very reasonable and very professional so I'm writing a review because we are forever grateful!..

If you have a leak anywhere.. either inside your home or outside American Leak Detectors will find it quickly and handle it efficiently!

American Leak was our ""second opinion"" company when we needed to have a slab leak diagnosed. The professionalism and honesty sold us ..as well as a job well done. We are in an older home & have had 2 additional occasions to use American Leak Detection and they've literally saved the day for us. Like that we are supporting a local company that does a great job.

STAY AWAY FROM AMERICAN LEAK DETECTION

I read through this company's bad reviews and the company constantly insists it's for a different location THIS ABSOLUTELY PERTAINS TO SANTA BARBARA AND VENTURA AMERICAN LEAK DETECTION!

The reception girls for this company are right down ridiculous. They are rude, condescending, constantly sighing like they were annoyed when I was attempting to give them information about my job. My mother in law's insurance company told me to call them to fix a pipe that had broken off in the wall. I let them know we had a death in the family and she was out of town, i was given authorization to speak on her behalf (they could even check with the insurance company). Listen, i work in the industry and the way i was talked to by whoever the little girl was yesterday and the other girl this morning was eye rolling.

I told the original girl we had zero running water to the home and the insurance adjuster made it known that it was fine to get it fixed ASAP. When i called yesterday to make the original appointment she kept sighing when i was trying to explain the whole thing to her. Then proceeded to tell she had to call and verify and get back to me when they were able to get out there. Fine, perfect do what you need to do. She called me back and informed me that they couldn't come out til Thursday.... Thursday, almost 3 days later. I HAVE ZERO WATER RUNNING TO THE HOME. She says, ""Well that's what we have"" she also said ""they would have to do an assessment first in order to determine what the leak was. I had already told her what the ""leak"" was from, then they would have to come back and fix the problem. The pipe broke off in the freaking wall! The mitigation team came out and knew and obviously I knew exactly what had happen because i was there when the pipe broke in the wall. So I apprehensively scheduled the appointment. I didn't feel good about giving this company any business of mine, or any money (which was being paid by the insurance). Then called to another actual plumber who came out 30 minutes later, same day of me calling him! So strange how quick i was able to resolve this issue in less than a 5 minute call. American Leak Detection is a SCAM, clearly trying to get you for all the money they can get you for. I'm glad i didn't have them come out and try to ""determine the leak"" stay away from they rude, receptionists, and con business practices. If your insurance company recommends them steer clear! I've already made Allstate aware of their bad business practices.

Last April, I noticed an excessive amount of water in our front yard, so I called American Leak Detection. They came out and found the leak under my driveway. I hired them to fix the leak and the guy came out and did the work, took photos of the leak and repair and then repaired the concrete. About 7 months later, I again noticed an excessive amount of water running out of my front drainage pipe. I called American Leak Detection. They told me if the leak came from the previous repair, there would be no charge to me. The leak was found to be in the same area, so a couple of days later, a repairman came out and dug it up and found it to be a failure in their initial repair. They were completely honest about it and did the repair without any cost to me. This was a 5 hour job. A week later, the lawn seemed soggier than normal (I think I had anxiety about water leaking) so I called them again and they were so wonderful and sent someone the following day. The guy checked everything again and assured me everything was quiet-no leaks!! I wondered how much that visit would cost and again, no charge for the follow up visit! This company is so honest and although, the initial repair failed, they were quick to come out and fix it. The workers are nice and very courteous and very hard working. I highly recommend American Leak Detection!!

Andy from American Leak Detection came to my house for just over an hour today, and he discovered the source of a leak that other companies had been trying to figure out for months.
He explained his approach, and was very conscious of keeping the cost down for me. First he scoped the drain, then he water tested it. He determined that the leak wan't in the drain at all, but a blockage just where the gutter meets the down drain.
He saved me a bundle. The other contractors had suggested cutting into the drywall.
Andy also arrived right on time, was extremely polite and helpful.
Couldn't give this company a higher recommendation.

Greg quickly located the puzzling source of our outdoor water leak. He was prompt, professional, clearly explained everything, and answered all of our questions. While here, he also preemptively checked our sewer line and irrigation system for any potential future problems. The cost was exactly as quoted and extremely fair for the work done. We strongly recommend American Leak Detection of Santa Barbara & Ventura counties and would definitely call them for any future problems!

(As an aside, each ALD office is independently owned & operated. Some negative reviews here have been posted in error and are actually for other franchise locations. The Santa Barbara/Ventura County is truly a five-star business.)
