This company is amazing. Staff are friendly and professional and they are ready to help! Jimmy Padilla is a Quality Control Supervisor. He came out post-completion of the reroute to check on some concerns regarding low water pressure. He showed up on time, was professional and courteous, and took time to listen to our concerns and to investigate the issue at hand. He found that the shower head had a leak, and the water pressure was fine. He adjusted the shower head and it fixed the problem. Appreciated his time and effort to provide excellent customer service. Highly recommend this company. They are the experts and they guarantee their work! Kudos to Mr. Padilla!

This episode started when my mother received a notice from her water district that she was using an alarming amount of water, enough that indicated a major leak. I could not detect anything obvious, inside, outside or under the house, but the water meter was spinning very quickly. One of my mom's neighbors recommended a plumber who came out, but could not find any leaks. He recommended a specialized leak detection company who came out, but also could not detect any leaks, using high-tech, sensitive listening devices. Strike two... this guy recommended American Leak Detection. Called them, and the person on the phone very clearly explained how they detect leaks and what the cost would be based on how much time it would take to find a leak. He also gave the name of the person who would be coming out, and when he would arrive.

Angel came to my mom's house, found two leaks, and explained to my mom how he would repair them. He quoted a price before starting repairs. When he located both leaks, he showed my mom the damaged pipes, allowing her to take several photos. The repair involved cutting concrete in two places on her front patio, and the concrete repairs were as small and unobtrusive as possible.

I can't speak to the price of the job compared to what someone else would have charged, but these guys were the only game in town when it came to finding the leaks, and the job was handled quickly and very professionally from beginning to end, and ended a very frustrating situation for both my mom and me.

Not knowing what to expect I was completely blown away by the extraordinary service I received from Scott C. He was very informative about what was going on with the leak issue and went above and beyond to help stop the leak temporarily from further damage until I was able to get a plumber out to my house. American Leak Detection is fortunate to have Scott working for them. Thanks again Scott!!!

Abel did a great job finding my water leak and also helped suggest to my plumber how to best fix it. Not sure about the $375 fee as others my plumber used them for were charged less. Also not sure why they sent someone from their Santa Ana location rather than Walnut that is much closer to me.

Craig came by to do the leak detection, which was in bathroom slab. He found it quickly. He submitted his estimate to my insurance company, and they ok'd it. After a few days, he came back and rerouted the c/w pipe, and it works perfectly now.

American Leak Detection has low quality workmanship in addition to unprofessional business practice. I live in Ladera Ranch. I had a leak under concrete outside of my house on 1/2015. I contacted ALD Santa Ana office to stop the leak. They fixed it. But it reappeared after just 2 months. Again the concrete was removed and ALD was called. ALD found a crack on the same pipe that they replaced . Such a low quality workmanship. They replaced the same pipe for the 2nd time free of charge. But they were supposed to pay for concrete removal/refinish. So the concrete company billed ALD. After 11 months I received an email from the concrete construction company that ALD never paid and that ALD told them to request payment from the owner .So unprofessional. Do not trust American Leak Detection.

Hired this company to detect a leak. Improperly diagnosed the leak. Came back twice and told me it was leaking from places that it wasn't.
In attempts to isolate the leak the second time. Technician Turned a valve around in my system and forget to turn off automation.
Next morning woke up to flooding and an exploded pool system.
Would not to call me back, yet continued to dispute the charge through my bank getting the charged reversed.
Came out and accessed the damage. Offered my a fraction of what it cost me to fix/repair their mistake( Not to mention the time and headache) they caused me.
Now I have to sue through small claims court to get my money back for both their service fee's and the repair of the damage.

So sad this franchise owner would not do the right thing. He'll soon find that did doesn't pay to be unethical and dishonest.
This had been going on since 9/15 and it is now Feb/16 still no resolve.

Ive had American Leak Detection come several times come and fix two slab leaks and also a wall leak with excellent and prompt service. They are very professional and fair pricing

Way over priced came out once & detected leak $275 then wanted asbestos test before cutting wall $125 then wanted $1750 for repair then I am waiting for estimate to fix as they said they could not repair it absolutely ridiculous it has been 5 days

Save yourself time and money and hire a different company!! Not only do the techs lack knowledge and experience, but if you have a problem with the tech the company will never resolve it. We had a leak in our shower that their tech could not find and blamed the shower door. I found it within minutes of him leaving (a very obvious pipe dripping consistently). They sent the same tech the next day, despite me asking for a different person, and to cover his tracks he wrote a report that said he found a minor leak or a pipe ""sweating"", then proceeded to fix the leak without asking so no one else could look at it or give a second opinion. Unfortunately, I didn't record the leak before he came.... Regardless, because of his report our insurance would not cover the repair or damage, which seems convenient to me since they are the company my insurance recommended. A major conflict of interest if you asked me. Since then, my husband has tried to contact them to complain and he keeps getting referred to Jimmy who talks to him for a few minutes to ask what happened (despite having gone over the situation several times already) then claims he will talk to his supervisor and return my husbands call shortly. They have spoken several times over the last 4 weeks and it has been the same thing over and over with no return calls ever. Extremely frustrating and poor service all around.
