So, we called these people to help us detect a leak. They sent a guy out here who in all honesty, not bright enough to not be confused by the part of the transaction where we actually pay ...but, that's another issue. He mis diagnosed the problem at a cost of 250.00 and told us we could just have our sprinkler guy fix it. Sprinkler guy comes out, digs up our walk way at a cost of 400.00 and then tells us there is no leak where ALD's technician told us it was. Now we are in for 650.00 still have a leak AND a new hole in our walk way that prevents us for using the only option we had to get by which is to turn the water on and off at the St when needed...Now, we have no water the day before Xmas and they won't send someone to help us until the 3rd. Sooooo, ya, unreliable and quite frankly other than Susan doing her best to help, they could care less about the issue that they created...very little accountability. They did send another teach out (very nice guy) and he says he knows where the leak actually is...however, still can't help til the 3rd...so, we are just SOL for the Holidays! Thanks American Leak Detection! You guys are the best! Happy holidays to you all!

Just had Josh from American Leak Detection come to my house at Carlsbad to find and repair a leak that started 3 days again. I had two other companies come bye prior to American Leak Detection and one of the companies couldn't find it and the other was incorrect on where they said the water was leaking. Josh worked very hard and kept us updated on how he was troubleshooting the leak and very impressed with his knowledge and hard work. I recommend American Leak Detection for all leak and repairs. Josh found the leak and repaired the leak with great work quality. Josh was amazing!

Customer service is good. There is always someone answering the phone. In contrast, many pool specialists are hard to reach. They scheduled a service in a reasonable time (Very difficult to get pool specialist service on time). Josh was our technician and he is a pro. They quickly identified a problem in a complex underground edge pump system. Used high tech nano camera equipment to identify the clogged place, and replaced the section of the pipe. They showed high knowledge in the plumbing system , and helped the system run again. They have most plumbing and fittings parts in the truck. Price was very reasonable, and solved the problem very quick.

We were losing a lot of water in our pool and determined it must have been a leak in the underground pool plumbing. American Leak detection was the first company to call me back as every leak company is super swamped right now. They got me on the schedule for a week out. Josh and Jesse showed up today and we're great communicators every step along the process. They found the leak, showed it to me, then repaired it. The cost for the leak detection was comparable to the other quotes I received but I will say the cost for repair seemed expensive (which is why I rated 4 stars instead of 5 unfortunately). It ended up being about $430/hr for the repair portion of the work, but I am not an expert on whether this is a good price or not. With that being said, they cleaned everything up and showed me that the system was now running with no leaks. I was also informed about the report I'll be getting later today or tomorrow and the warranty of the work and leak detection services. I was glad to have everything handled in just one half-day visit as we were hemorrhaging water daily.

I had a slab leak in my house, and my insurance sent Patrick from American Leak Detection to diagnose it. He was super nice and friendly and looked like he knew what he was doing. He explained the options of fixing it (jackhammering the floor or rerouting the pipe), gave me a quote (that was very reasonable), and explained how I could use hot water before it is fixed.
A little later, I contacted the company and scheduled the repair. Jody and Vinny came on time and did the work as we agreed - no surprises or unexpected charges. They didn't damage anything except what was necessary for the repair and cleaned after themselves after the work was done.
I am very happy with the work they did and had a great experience with everyone involved.

I have no idea how anyone could give this company a bad review but perhaps I lucked out. I knew we had a leak and called my Home Warranty to come out and fix it (covered). 5 days later a guy shows up, stands in my garage and tells me my best bet is to replace all of my pipes, quotes me $10,000 and asks if I am interested. He hadn't found the leak, been in my house and was trying to sell me. Frustrated, I called my Home Owners Insurance and they sent American Leak Detection. From my first phone call with Hannah to the two amazing specialists Angel and Tim I couldn't be happier. Hannah was a true professional who worked after hours and weekends to find a way to get me scheduled. Tim and Angel worked together to fix the problem while offering solutions at a reasonable rate. While my wall was open I realized I had ANOTHER leak and once again, the team came through. They were polite, masks on, and worked diligently to ensure the job was done well. I kept their contact numbers and while I hope I don't have to call them I am appreciative of having a go to company. If you see this THANK YOU Hannah for taking all my calls at all hours! You and your team are awesome!

This company is a total RIP OFF!!!! I was charged over $200 for an American Leak Detection tech to come out to look for slab moisture and liquid damage. The tech spend 10 minutes at my home only to tell me he did not find any moisture, in fact the tech was more interested in talking about fishing then doing his job. Because I personally witnessed moisture in my carpet, I had another company come out and confirm there was actually liquid damage. I then tried calling #AmericanLeakDetection to see what they could do and was basically told to get lost by their customer service representative. He said, the work was done 2 months ago and they only have a 30 day follow. So then he told me, they would need to charge me another $200 for a follow up visit. They were also supposed to email me a report of what the tech discovered but I never received that either. Save your money and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! #Fail #PoorCustomerService #RipOffAlert

I can not suggest using this company for any services. They basically took $225 from me and found nothing. I had a second opinion come in who found the original leak and resolved the problem after American Leak Detection failed me! Do yourself a favor and hire another company for leak detection.

I had a leak at our home and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Called the company and the person I scheduled the appointment with was friendly and explained my options as far as what they could do. The technician who came out was nice and polite and explained the steps he would take to find the leak. After doing a pressure test and apparently not finding a leak he said it was probably the neighbor and left. After two weeks and it becoming obvious it was a leak in my system, I called back (they supposedly have a one month guarantee) and the person I spoke with, besides being a bit condescending and defensive, made all kinds of excuses as to why they couldn't find it and they didn't find it on the first visit so they would have to charge me extra to come back out. They were very expensive to begin with but they came recommended by our plumber so that is why I went with them. I am very disappointed with the service and ended up finding a better choice to finally finish the job. I'll be advising my plumber not to recommend them any more.

I spoke to Robert, telling him that I'm pretty sure it is actually the drains, leaking upstairs, running down the inside wall. Robert insisted that his guys will find it. Well, the crew showed up and said they only test pressurized lines. I know it's not that. I watched the meter 2.5 hours...no change. The crew leader told me, he can't in good conscience do a pressure leak test knowing that the meter didn't budge. I have used this company before, and have great confidence in the field team, but I think Robert may be in need of further training. Surely, the field team had better things today than take an unnecessary and useless meeting. I know I did.
