We had American Leak Detection come out in 2021 to find a leak in our pool. They did a quick epoxy (band-aid fix) and told us to fix it properly we would have to schedule a return trip. We called to schedule the actual repair and were told they were a few months out. American Leak Detection never called us back to schedule and never returned. We followed up in 2022 to get on the schedule to repair and never received a call back. In spring of 2023 they answered our call, came out and said we would need to pay for another leak detection that we already had back in 2021. Needless to say we are very dissatisfied with the lack of understanding and customer service to the hurdles we have endured for American Leak Detection to do their job that we have tried to schedule. It is not on us as customers to pay extra for their lack of organization in schedule when we requested multiple times to be place on their work schedule.

Someone told us this company could find the blockage in the skimmer line to our pool. My husband called and asked if they could perform that service and the person my husband spoke to on the phone said they could. After they got here their technicians told us they don't do that, they only find leaks. Then they showed 2 small leaks from our water line, which we've known about because the concrete below is wet. The person on the phone told my husband the charge would be $395. They lowered it to $195 since they couldn't do what we asked----what they told us they could do over the phone. We obviously would not have agreed to pay them all that money to have them come out and look for leaks when what we need is someone to find the clog in the line.

Absolutely horrible business, after reading the other review I can tell that we had a very similar experience. We had them come out for a leak detection, they found it fairly quickly-or at least we were told- and we were told it was patched and good to go. When we later went to the pool that night we noticed that the patch did not match the color of the pool. We assumed this was because they only had one color and let it go because we do not use the pool very often but wanted it ready for when we did swim. We went back to the pool the next day four our usual morning check, and noticed that the patch had come off. We called the company and questioned them about both the longevity of the patches and the color options. We were told that the patches were only temporary, which, like Pat W's review, we did not see until we received the bill. And we were supposedly told when they put the patch on that we had a choice of color, but no one recalled this, and we would have most assuredly selected a color that matched the pool. Overall bad business- STAY AWAY!

Called company for pool leak and office person advised they would perform leak detection on a swimming pool, and repair all minor leaks such as in pool liner and skimmers. (Had also spoken with same individual last year and told the same thing) Work performed and on inspection noticed pool liner patch clashed with pattern. Technician stated he was sorry but it was the only patch he had and felt no one would notice. Technician also said more extensive patch of fiberglass pool steps could be performed but if it was his pool this is how he would do it(with epoxy). 2 days later, step patch falls completely off and everyone notices clashing patch on pool liner. Discussed with owner Wayne who was not present during discussions with office person nor present for pool repair. Denies that his office person stated they would do repairs without mentioning they are only temporary. Also denies that technician had only one color of pool liner patch. Was very obnoxious. Through technician wanted another 100.00 to come out and put on more ""temporary patches"". Stated their paperwork(which was only presented after the work was completed) indicates their patches are only temporary. Despite never being present, denies we were told differently. Do not use this company. They are very misleading. If you want to find a pool leak and have it professionally patched with backup by the company, look elsewhere. Check nationwide reviews of this chain and they are awful.
