We had a typical under slab leak and fears the worst, that we would have to demo the concrete slab inside our home. The technician came out and located to leak right away and determined that we didn't need to dig into the concrete, he recommended we have a plumber bypass the bad lines which would save us a ton of money! I cannot remember his name but he was very polite and down to earth. He also recommended some plumbers to call for estimates. We used one of his recommended plumbers and were very happy. I hope I don't need American leak Detection again lol, but if I do I won't hesitate to call them.
We believed we had a leak under our concrete in the house. After making a call, they're excellent team member was there within 45 minutes. He was very thorough and luckily no leak was found. I would highly recommend this to other friends and family.
Listened to my concerns, did the work to inspect our sewer lines and explained everything he found and our options. I was very impressed with the job done.
Worst customer service ever. Very unprofessional, rude, calls customers liars and also has called other companies liars. The lady at the front desk demands money up front even after another company has advised them they would be making the payment.
Tracey Q.I suspected a water leak under my foundation so I called American Leak Detection. They were professional on the phone. They scheduled the very next day. Luke was prompt and friendly but professional. He found the problem and gave me several suggestions to fix/ stop the leak.
My name is Richard and I have used American Leak Detection company which is a family-owned business!! I will say right off the bat if I could give a rating of 10 Stars I would do so but I guess I can only get 5 stars!!! The owners of the company the Father Mark, a retired Marine veteran and Seth the son that I met also a marine veteran!! This company, these two men that I have met, came to my house, and went Way Beyond what would be expected!! They went outside of the box and left me with a complete level of absolute confidence in their capability!! Seth found my major leak within 7 minutes arriving on my property!! They only charged me the first initial charge and then they came back four separate times to make sure that there were no more leaks at no charge to me!! They also offered me a veteran's discount God bless them for that! Their office manager Shawna is an absolute princess!! I have absolutely nothing bad that I could say about the mannerism and which this company takes care of the individual that they're dealing with at that time!! All I can say is I would highly highly recommend these people if you think you have a leak!! I actually am giving them 10 Stars even if it's not accepted!! Thank you guys for what service that you gave me and thank you Shawna for the big hugs that I received from you!! Semper Fi guys!
I spent $400 hiring this company to find a leak in my garage. The water damage was visible, but the technician was there for an hour and claimed he could not find it. The next day the pipe pipe burst causing water damage to a second area, this time inside my home.
Susan H.When my gas got turned off due to failing a pressure drop test I was referred to American leak detection.I called that day and left a message with the central answering operator. In less than a hour Seth the owner returned my call and listened to my problem.I learned about his company and was so impressed with his assistance with my dilemma. He suggested I call another plumber who he recommended. Abacus plumbing or Expert plumbing. Abacus answered first and they were able to sort out the situation.
Heres the bottom line, if you ever have a water or gas leak in your home call Seth, he is a veteran and is committed to excellence and customer service. I hope I never have an unexplained spike in my water bill, but if I do I'm calling Seth first thing!
James R.$390 for only leak detection that took 10 minutes seems excessive. And their selected spot was no more accurate than the plumber that came out with his less accurate equipment. On positive note they show up on time and will guarantee leak detection for 30 days if need to come back out.
After a dismal day of being notified by the meter reader from Tucson Water that my household was consuming 3 times as much water as the month before he suggested that I call a leak detection specialist because there was no obvious sign of a leak. I found highly rated American Leak Detection of Tucson on Yelp. The ratings turned out to be spot on.
That same morning I called what turned out to be a national customer service representative, who then forwarded my information to the local technician. I was called shortly thereafter and had an appointment lickety-split. The technician, Seth, notified me a half an hour before arriving at my doorstep early that afternoon.
He was like a leak detecting dynamo, zooming through the house, first negating all of the internal plumbing as a culprit. His knowledge of his trade impressed me as he moved outside and continued the process of narrowing down the location of the leak. All the while he answered all of my questions and put to ease my worries that I had made the wrong decision to spend money on this service.
I was amazed at the process of his listening to the leak, which unfortunately was located somewhere under my patio concrete slab. He went back and forth along the patio listening for the leak. Seth told me that he was trying to be absolutely sure where the pipe had burst. An hour later after using his sonic leak detection contraptions, Seth marked out the location of the underground piping using tape and bright spray paint. Finally, with a bright pink 'X' made out of tape, he marked the location of the leak. I was ecstatic that progress had been made in overcoming my dilemma.
Afterwards, he provided a run-down of the strange design of my water piping, which had been installed to accommodate a water softener years after the house was built. He wrote a report detailing what he had found, which was emailed to me the next day. Seth also provided me useful information, which turned out to be accurate, about what I could expect to pay for repairs by a plumbing company, and the process that they would use to do so. He also graciously wrote down, on the back of his business card, a small list of plumbers that he could recommend. What really stood out to me was the passion Seth exhibited for helping people in trying times and his emphatically telling me he has a passion for doing so AND his proud part in helping to save untold gallons of water through his trade. That is something that is awfully important in our desert climate.
All-in-all, the service was worth the price, if only for watching someone diligently ply their craft with gusto and grace.
The next day it really struck home how much it was worth the service when the plumber cut and jack-hammered the concrete, dug out the fill dirt covering the pipe, and we discovered that the leak was within 6-10 inches of where Seth had placed his tape 'X'. Boo-yaa!
