Well this was helpful. I had a 1000 gal spike over two billing periods per month.
The meter people said it could not be the five year old meter. So it must be us. I added food color to the tank to test for a flapper leak. Nada
I read the meter over night , nothing.
Shut off main for a week while traveling.
Again no water movement at the main.

So I called Mark, owner, and he walked me thru al the possibles. I may have solved it when I re adjusted the tank float level in
The only toilet.
We ll give it another billing period.

Over ten days I am at my old usage , 66 gal a day. 2 adults, 1 bathroom , no irrigation, fountains or softeners. 2000 gal 30 days.

If I need to , I can still call him back.

He saved me a service call, thanks...

Highly recommend this company. I have had them out twice to check for leaks. They are not only on time, they are early (when does that ever happen with a contractor), professional, fast, knowledgeable and thorough. If you think you might have a plumbing leak, they have all the tools to do the job!

Today, I called to cancel my appointment. I left a message, got a return call, saying it was the Rudest phone call they had ever gotten. I expressed to them that there prices were outrages. And I was cancelling my appointment with them. Than I get 3 more phone calls from them, I had to hang up on them.. Plus a Nasty message on my voice mail. I had to BLOCK them from calling me.
Why did they bother to STOOP so low to harass me...what they should or could done was say... Thank for calling and cancel the appointment. And let it go.. Yes, we have used them before and was very happy with them... But when I expressed the sky rocketing prices, I was shocked at there response.

I had just sold my home and made it through the inspection process and set to close, when I received a very large water bill. A plumber and my realtor both said American Leak Detection was the only company they would call. I'm glad I did! I thought I would have a nightmare with breaking up flooring but that didn't happen! They arrived on time and found the problem within 10 minutes. No breaking up floors! Water softener O-ring blew and was pumping water strain into the sewer pipe. Professional, polite and courteous is what I found them to be. If two professionals tell me to use this company, I listen! They will be the only leak detention company I will ever use. Thank you!

First rate operation! I had a leak in my plumbing indicated by my water meter running when all the faucets were off. American leak detection was recommended to me by my neighbor who had them successfily diagnose a leak for him a few years ago. I couldn't see any water leak so I assumed it was under my foundation. Not only did ALD find the leak but they also pointed out a problem with the way I had the filter valves set on my pool that was causing me to loose water there too. They stand behind their work and are great to deal with. Very complete exam of my entire property inside and out. If I ever suspect another problem with my plumbing I wont hesitate to call them again.

We live far from this company, which necessitated an extra trip charge--a big one. However, not only did they come out as and when promised and diligently searched, but when they found that there was no leak when they were at the house (of course it returned soon after they left), they came back a second time, didn't charge for a second trip charge, and found the leak. Plus, they gave good advice about possible causes and remedies--the leak was under the slab--and were wonderfully ungrouchy about coming out a second time for free. According to the plumbers who had recommended them in the first place, when they locate a leak it's within inches of where they say. So, if we do decide to break up the tiles to get at the problem spot, we'd only have to take up 4 tiles--which we could replace with perfect matches. Thank you American Leak Detection!

Could not be happier, I had a leak in my pool and my pool guy told me to call them. They gave me a price to check my pool, came out and found it pretty fast and charged me a quarter of what I was quoted, and they fixed it! I was so happy. They are the best.

Absolutely awful customer service. I know that I was not with in the guarantee in the work order but when I call to ask some question they accused me a causing the leak after they left and when a technician came back out he stated that there was no way that leak was there when he can the first time. The problem with his statement is that there is years of calcium deposits around the spot I found the leak. The bottom line is they did not do the job the first time and were unwilling to acknowledge that they might have made a mistake.

Ps. After the technician came out the second time he sent me a text saying that there business was concluded with me and they would have no more contact.
