Call insurance company regarding of leak in my home, they sent Americal Leak Detection to inspect the problem. America Leak pinpoint exactly where the leak was. Gave quote in writing what it would cost to re-route and price to go directly. I chosen to re-route which they did with very damage to walls. The two young men that did the repair, Milton is one of name don't know other guy name, was very pleasant to work with they work with good integrity. Job well done

In 2018 we noticed a sharp increase in our water bills. Although no water or water damage was showing, it was obvious we had a leak under the concrete slab of our home. Our plumber recommended we call in American Leak Detection of South Florida, which describes itself as a """"leak specialist."""" On Nov. 6, 2018, two technicians from ALD visited our home and identified the leak as being under the slab in a bedroom which we use as an office. The expensive flooring in this room had been installed only one year earlier, and now had to be broken up to repair the leak. Based on the ALD analysis, our plumber did break up the wooden flooring and underlying concrete, to a depth of about 20 inches, before he found the water line. What he didn't find was a leak. There was no leak where ALD said it was. ALD was notified and then dispatched its field service supervisor, who did further tests and found the leak - IN AN ADJOINING ROOM. In other words, the many hours of work the plumber had spent in our office and the destruction of our office floor was completely unnecessary! The unnecessary plumbing work and the floor replacement have cost us more than $2,200 (in addition to the $425 we paid ALD to find the leak). All efforts to get ALD to accept responsibility for its error have failed. The company's operations manager, Nicholas Vargas, has avoided telephone calls and a certified letter. He did call once, at the request of our plumber, and asked for copies of the plumber's report and invoices for the repair work in question, which we provided. That was approximately four weeks ago. Nothing further has been heard. If you should be so unfortunate as to develop a leak in your plumbing system, I would urge you to think twice before using the services of American Leak Detection of South Florida. They may be """"leak specialists,"""" but they clearly do not stand behind their work or accept responsibility for their mistakes.

Note to self and others...black olive tree roots are the worst! A year ago I was getting really high water bills and called ALD and they found the leak in my pipe and fixed it. Jump 365 or so days later and guess what...i have another pipe leak due to the roots of the black olive tree. I am so grateful to ALD for again diagnosing the leak and having it fixed! Not something I want to continue doing but until I sell this house I have to keep up with repairs. Thanks diane and Devondro for helping me today and having the pipe leading to my water meter repaired.

after paying plumbers to diagnose my leak and give me the wrong diagnosis, Milton found my leaks and saved the day. I learned an expensive lesson. plumbers can fix but not find your leak. Leak detectors and their employee, Milton's tenacity saved me from water damage all over my floor. I highly recommend them.

Diane was very helpful in coordinating the repairs. i had a complicated situation and she was able to help.

They are the worst. They charged $900 (They discounted it $50 because the idiot they sent broke the paver). The pavers were not set correctly, the leak was not repaired. The pavers collapsed, our pool filter was left running and the motor burned out, the pool still leaks. Talk about a scam company.

I was charged a $400 fee for a bogus report. The leak is not where the American Leak Detection plumber said it was. And they don't answer my calls for repairs or from the plumber that made the report, nor are they willing to look into finding where the leak comes from once they were paid. I have never written a bad review on someone but I am just so disappointed and disgusted with this company that I must share my experience with them . I had a leak and I called out this company they came and charged me 600$ for a leak detection. I called out another plumber to come and fix the problem thank god they caught the major mistake this company made before they torn apart my marble floors . American leak detection did not find the leak yet charged me ! Marked up a false spot on my floor . I called several times before anyone called me back . Finally after many attempts a manager called me back said they would look into it and get back to me . He contacted the other leak company and they told him their guy was wrong sent a report and since then I have written to this manager and I can't get an email or phone call back or my $600 back . Pure theft !!!

Made an appointment based on my insurance companies recommendation 3 hours late no one answers the phone in the office the gentleman came was very professional but could not find a leak left I called for a follow up at least six times and I got no call back last thing I got was the bill nothing was found nothing was repaired no follow up very disappointing because I was in trouble with the water leak and needed some help

I received service from American leak detection on 4/12/22 I was told I had no leak that water was coming up from ground as my son son had water in his bedroom. As per recommendation from technician we applied liquid water barrier and laid down new floorin. I recently purchased a new dishwasher and discovered water on floor under dishwasher. I assumed the dishwasher was leaking and discovered a crack in the drain pipe which was causing the leak all along. The worst company ever. Buyer beware.
