Story goes: I have leak, called on Monday morning.
Lady who answers phone: Hello? (kids screaming in background)
Me: Is this American Leak Detection
Lady on phone who never gave name: Yes, how can I help you?
Me: explains problem, gets appt. for Friday - I ask if there is cancellation can I get earlier - as this is IMPORTANT - get told might have opening for Wed. but will call to let me know. Okies dokies ... Tuesday afternoon I get call to confirm my Wed. appt.
Me: Wow, ok, so y'all can fit me in on Wed.
Lady on phone: You are scheduled for Wed.
Me: Oh, the other lady said I was booked for Friday - but if you had opening might get me in Wed.
Lady on phone: Oh, I said that? (kids screaming in background)
Me - confirms Wed. AFTERNOON appt.
Wednesday morning 8am - phone call from ""Blaze"" wanting to come by in ""just a few minutes"" I said no, I have appt,. 6 hours from now - would rather keep that. He says ok, will call you back when we're ready to head your way this afternoon. Never heard from anyone ever again ....
Wed. - No phone call
Thurs. No phone call
Friday Afternoon - I call, guy answers, tells me he was just in picking up his check and decided to answer phone.
Me: I think I had an appt. for today but never got a call??
Guy on phone: Yeah, you probably did, but we've all been out sick with the flu. Someone will call you back to reschedule whenever they get back from being sick.
Me: 1 week later with leak still un-diagnosed and no closer to getting answers because of an entire week lost waiting on American Leak Detection.

Waste of hard earned $300, guy comes in with instrument and headphones which might have just as well been music player. He basically said what previous plumber said without hyped up gear. Proposed same fix for same price. He never checked the water meter and suggested all lines would soon need to be replaced even though hot water leak seemed most eminent. He heard what we heard without equipment. He promised call back, never got. researched address couldnt find it so I called to request physical address. Received hesitancy, then told address was P O box. (red flag)
I then asked for physical address. I had tried to schedule appt with Shreveport office was told operation was Keithville. Asked if cold water leak was considered, answer was no. He will come back for that. At least he was nice. That 9051 mansfield rd seems to be plumber, pool repair, and insurance. btw baby crying in background. Tread carefully.

I was out of town when I had a leak in the ceiling of my kitchen. My daughter had to take care of the problem. Since I didn't have a regular plumber, I told her to inquire with my insurance company. American Leak was recommended to find the leak. Matt and Justin promptly came with their leak detection devices and after opening up the ceiling of the kitchen and wall between two bathrooms, they found the problem leak. They fixed it and I had water when I returned home. Yeah! They were courteous, professional, on time, and excellent plumbers. They are now my regular ""go-to"" plumbers!
